Chapter 25 Is Gu Momo a Ghostly Healer?

"Yes! It's him!" Lin Wan'er nodded, feigning shyness.

"Oh, Wan'er, you're so outstanding! Auntie is so proud of Master Lin!" Dong Qingrun exclaimed exaggeratedly, then glanced sideways at Gu Momo, "Unlike some people, who insist on putting on a show!"

As Gu Momo watched them sing and dance in unison, putting on a show in front of her that she couldn't tell whether to call it embarrassing or ridiculous, she could hardly contain her laughter.

She never intended to take a woman who had "licked" the soles of her shoes as her apprentice.

Just as Gu Momo decided to use violence to deal with the two people in front of her, her wrist was suddenly grabbed. When she turned her head, she found that Uncle Fu had woken up.

Dong Wenrun and Lin Wan'er, who had just been smug, immediately became extremely anxious.

Gu Momo turned around, took Uncle Fu's hand, and her tone softened immediately, "Uncle Fu, how are you feeling? Is anything bothering you?"

"Miss...Miss!" Uncle Fu struggled to get up, his forehead veins bulging with excitement.

Suddenly, as if she couldn't catch her breath, she fainted.

The heart monitor next to the hospital bed lit up with a red light, and the alarm instantly attracted a group of nurses.

Gu Momo quickly pulled open Uncle Fu's shirt and, before the nurse could react, sat on the bed without hesitation and began rhythmically pressing on Uncle Fu's heart to perform CPR.

Several nurses rushed in and saw Gu Momo; they had already begun resuscitation efforts.

"The patient's blood pressure is rising and his heart rate is dropping. Administer an adrenaline injection immediately! Also, notify the operating room right away. Tell them that the surgery we contacted the hospital director about yesterday and arranged in advance can begin!" Gu Momo methodically arranged the next steps, every word revealing absolute professionalism and composure.

These nurses, who were still unaware of what was happening, were inexplicably directed by her to push the hospital bed toward the operating room.

Lin Wan'er is a medical student. Gu Momo's series of actions just now, as well as her calmness and rationality in the face of the emergency, are something that even a doctor with three or four years of experience might not be able to do.

She was stunned and stood there. Dong Wenrun, who was standing next to her, saw the hospital bed being pushed further and further away and rushed back to remind her, "Wan'er, what are you daydreaming about! That bitch Gu Momo has already gone into the operating room. You should go in with her! Keep an eye on things and make sure Uncle Fu doesn't get saved! Otherwise, all our efforts will be in vain!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Wan'er snapped out of her shock and hurriedly followed Dong Qingrun toward the operating room.

By the time they arrived, Gu Momo had already taken Uncle Fu into the operating room.

The two anxiously paced back and forth at the door for a long time, just in time to see Director He of the Central Hospital, wearing a white coat, hurrying towards the operating room door.

Lin Wan'er quickly stepped forward and stopped Dean He just as he was about to enter the operating room.

"Who are you people?" Dean He was forced to stop, his eyes anxiously fixed on the operating room.

“Dean He, hello. I am a neurosurgery student at Beijing Medical University. We met a couple of days ago when I came to the hospital to sign my internship agreement. I just saw a patient being wheeled in. That’s a relative of mine. Would it be convenient for you to take me in with you?” Lin Wan’er asked, feigning concern.

"How can that be! This is the only surgery in the entire neurosurgery department today, and it's extremely important. The surgeon in charge is the legendary Dr. Ghost Hand! Even I can only be his assistant. How can you go in?" Dean He refused without hesitation.

Yesterday, he worked through the night to reschedule a less important neurosurgical procedure to another department that did not require an operating room, in order to create the best possible service conditions for this surgery.

Even he himself ended his annual leave and returned to work, specifically to assist the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor.

When Lin Wan'er heard that the Ghost Hand Doctor was also coming, she became even more eager to go in!

Every medical student aims to reach even one-tenth of the skill level of the "Ghost Hand Saint Doctor" in their lifetime; he is the idol of all medical students.

If I could perform a surgery alongside him, or even just wipe his sweat or hand him water, that would be something I could brag about for the rest of my life!

"Dean He? Are you telling the truth? Then I must beg you to take me in! He is the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor! Please, let me go in with you!" Lin Wan'er clasped her hands together and rubbed them up and down incessantly.

Dong Qingrun also spoke up for her, "Yes, Dean, please."

"I am Dong Qingrun, the wife of the Gu Group, and this is Lin Wan'er, the daughter of Old Master Lin. As long as you bring her in this time, our two families will definitely contribute to the hospital's medical equipment in the future!"

Having been in high society circles for so many years, she knows that the most persuasive thing in the world is money.

However, for Dean He, none of these things were as important as the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor.

"Alright! Stop talking! I'm not taking you in!" Dean He said righteously and firmly.

Lin Wan'er was turned away. The thought that Gu Momo had secretly slipped in and even met the Ghost Hand Doctor filled her with both jealousy and helplessness.

Pointing into the operating room, she said angrily, "Where's Gu Momo?! Just now, a woman who has never studied medicine went into the operating room with the patient! Dean He? Why didn't you kick her out!"

"You mean Miss Gu Momo?" Dean He was startled. "Her relationship with the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor is extraordinary. It's fine if I hear what you said, but if she hears it and files a complaint, you might as well forget about working in the medical field!"

Dean He warned, and seeing that Gu Momo had already gone inside, he didn't want to waste any more time with the two people in front of him, so he hurriedly went in as well.

Lin Wan'er stood helplessly at the operating room door, staring at the tightly closed doors, her teeth almost bleeding from clenching them.

"Why? Why can Gu Momo go in, but I can't!"

Dong Wenrun was also so angry that her face turned pale. She never expected that the insignificant brat from back then would have such a wide social circle after returning from abroad five years later.

Even someone like the "Ghost Hand Saint Doctor" can be contacted!

Inside the operating room, Gu Momo was dressed in a surgical gown, cap, and mask; only her bright, piercing eyes were visible.

For this surgery, Dean He followed Li Mo's instructions and found some long-time hospital employees who were trustworthy and would not easily reveal any information about the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor.

With everything ready, Gu Momo stretched out her hand and said to the scrub nurse beside her, "Scalpel."
