Chapter 27 Master Ting Discovers Little Jingxing

Gu Jingxing's fingers flew across the keyboard, and the system quickly connected to his subordinate's phone line. "Hello? Young Master? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Gu Jingxing's dark, grape-like eyes narrowed with a smile: "Lin Wan'er and Dong Qingrun have already reached the hospital elevator. Help me stop them; this young master is going to give them a wonderful gift package!"

The subordinate's lips twitched involuntarily. The young master's "gift package"...

Can that be called a gift package?

It's clearly a funeral dirge!

At this moment, Lin Wan'er and Dong Qingrun entered the elevator together, both looking dejected.

The elevator reached the first floor, and the two were about to get out when a man walked in first and closed the door again.

"Hey, what are you doing! We haven't even left yet!" Lin Wan'er was already in a bad mood, and her words were full of hostility.

The man was indeed very good-tempered. He quickly bowed and said, "Excuse me, are you Miss Lin Wan'er? I am the assistant of the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor. He very much wants to see you. Would it be convenient for you to come with me?"

"The Ghostly Healer?! Is it true?"

"Then what are we waiting for! Take us there quickly!" Lin Wan'er was already impatient after hearing his words!

To be able to see the Ghost Hand Saint Doctor in private—what an honor that is! And it was he who requested to see me!

The thought that she might be accepted as his disciple today filled Lin Wan'er with excitement.

"Yes, please come this way."

The elevator had somehow reached the second basement level, and the man stepped out and led the way.

Dong Qingrun followed Lin Wan'er out of the elevator, but the further she walked, the colder her back felt.

The second basement level of this hospital seems to be avoiding electricity costs; apart from a few bright green emergency exit signs, the corridor is practically pitch black.

The further she walked, the more frightened she became, gripping Lin Wan'er's hand tightly. "Wan'er, this...this place feels a bit eerie. Is the Ghost Hand Healer really here?"

"I think... he should be here." Lin Wan'er's voice trembled slightly, as if she was trying to hold back her emotions.

Actually, she was a little scared, after all, this was a hospital, and so many people died every day. From a feng shui perspective, it was not good.

When she was in medical school, tasks like moving and carrying corpses were done by men, so she had never been to a place with such a heavy yin energy.

"Everyone, don't be afraid. It's just that there are fewer people here, which is why the teacher arranged to meet us here." The man walking in front comforted them softly, then suddenly stopped in front of a white door.

"Gentlemen, this is the place. The Ghostly Doctor is waiting for you inside."

Lin Wan'er cleared her throat, mustered her courage, pushed open the door, and pulled Dong Qingrun inside.

Under the moonlight, the corpse on the grid was covered with a white cloth. The moonlight shone through the small window, and even the dust floating in the air could be clearly seen.

Lin Wan'er suddenly realized she had been tricked and quickly turned around, but the door behind her slammed shut from the outside.

Dong Qingrun was terrified. He rushed to the door and pounded on it frantically, shouting, "Help! Is anyone there?! Open the door! Help! I don't want to stay in this awful place! Let me out! I need to get out!"

She screamed desperately, when suddenly she felt her feet sink. Looking down, she saw a pair of cold, blue hands gripping her ankles.

The owner of the hand was shirtless, wearing a hospital wristwatch on his wrist, and said in a plaintive, ethereal voice, "Come on! Let's play together!"

"Ah! A ghost! A ghost!" Dong Qingrun was so frightened that he jumped up and down as if his feet were on fire, running around and slapping his ankle where he had been grabbed.

Lin Wan'er originally wanted to pretend and say that there was nothing to be afraid of since they were all dead.

Suddenly, she saw the left hand of a corpse with its head covered next to her roll out.

The person must have died in a car accident; his hand was crushed to a pulp, limp and boneless, falling in front of Lin Wan'er in a bizarre posture.

"Ah ...

Turning around, he saw a disheveled woman with her eyeballs gone, grinning at him.

"Ghost~!" Lin Wan'er wanted to scream, but she was so frightened that her face turned pale and she couldn't catch her breath, so she fainted.

Dong Qingrun had already fainted in the corner.

"Young Master, these two aren't so easily frightened." The lights in the morgue suddenly came on, and the man and woman who had just scared Lin Wan'er and Dong Qingrun took off their clothes while wiping the disguise off their faces.

Gu Jingxing sat up from one of the morgues, shaking his limp left hand. "Find someone to throw them out!"

These two are so boring, they're so easily scared!

Gu Jingxing's handsome face beamed with a bright smile: "They're too timid. How about we help them toughen up next time?"

The subordinate's lips twitched. "Young Master, that's not what you call helping them build courage."

That's like sending them straight to their doom!

Outside the hospital

As Li Zhanting was about to get into his car surrounded by bodyguards, his subordinates rushed over from the elevator entrance, whispered a few words in Mo Feng's ear, and then withdrew.

After considering it carefully, Mo Feng walked over to Li Zhanting, who was sitting in the car, and said hesitantly, "Mr. Li, one of my men just reported that two people were found in the corridor on the first basement floor of the hospital."

"One is Lin Wan'er, the daughter of Old Master Lin, and the other... is... Miss Gu Shanshan's mother, Dong Qingrun... They must have fainted from fright. The first and second basement floors are the hospital's morgues."

"How could she be there?" A hint of surprise flashed across Li Zhanting's expressionless face, but soon, the image of Dong Qingrun and Gu Momo arguing in the ward flashed through his mind.

His intuition told him that this matter was definitely related to Gu Momo.

"Mo Feng, give me the surveillance footage," he ordered in a deep voice.

Mo Feng immediately took out a small tablet, connected it to the hospital's computer monitoring screen, and handed it to him.

In the footage, at the stairwell entrance to the second-floor morgue, three people—two adults and one child—suddenly appeared half an hour earlier. The two adults, dressed as doctors, carried a "corpse" and slipped into the morgue.

The corpse, from head to toe, was less than a meter long and clearly looked like a child.

The surveillance footage had clearly been tampered with; the image was blurry and unclear, and even faces were not clearly visible.

But this child's figure... why does he feel like he's seen it before?

He looks a bit like his son, Li Zixiao.

Li Zhanting narrowed his eyes and immediately ordered, "Seal off all the hospital exits immediately! Mo Feng, come with me to the morgue on the second basement floor!"
