After leaving the underground prison wearing a mask, Lan Yiren headed straight for the Dark Moon Organization's hideout.
The Dark Moon organization was heavily guarded. As soon as she reached the door, a group of people rushed out and surrounded her.
"Who dares to trespass into the Dark Moon Organization!"
Lan Yiren tilted her head slightly, a cold smile playing on her lips: "Go back immediately and tell your leader that Lan Yiren has come back to see him!"
The Dark Moon subordinates were all shocked. One of the men surrounding her sneered, "Ha! It's an internal order from the Dark Moon organization that Lan Yiren has ended her cooperation with Dark Moon. You think you can see our leader? Men, seize her!"
"You dare to lay a hand on me?" Lan Yiren drew a dagger hidden behind her back. Her movements were so fast that her subordinates didn't even have time to see it before a trail of blood appeared on her throat.
The man's eyes widened as he clutched his throat, blood still gushing from between his fingers. He died without uttering a single word.
"Are you going to come again?" Lan Yiren pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the blood off the dagger, her eyes filled with murderous intent.
The remaining subordinates were eager to try, but dared not step forward.
"Lan Yiren! You've gone too far! How dare you slaughter our men at the base gate!"
As the sound rang out, two men in black suits emerged from the base.
They are Darkmoon's personal guards, a pair of twins.
The older brother is named Qinglong (Azure Dragon), and the younger brother is named Bailong (White Dragon).
Although they are twins, they do not look alike. The Azure Dragon has a pointed mouth and monkey-like cheeks, making him seem very difficult to get along with, while the White Dragon, just like his name suggests, appears gentle and harmless on the surface, but in reality, he is ruthless in his killing methods, drawing blood with every strike.
In her previous collaborations with the Dark Moon organization, Lan Yiren had worked with them many times.
"Lan Yiren, I didn't expect you to actually come back alive." Bai Long said with his arms crossed and his face expressionless.
"What? Did I disappoint you by coming back alive?" Lan Yiren sheathed the cleaned dagger at her waist. "If they hadn't stopped me, I wouldn't have fought them. Now that you're here, perfect, take me to see the leader."
“You’re dreaming! You failed your mission and were taken away by Gu Momo for so long. Now you’re suddenly back. How are we supposed to know if you’ve betrayed us? Dark Moon’s rule is that once your identity is exposed, we never leave anyone alive!” Qinglong said, immediately pulling a pistol from the inside pocket of his suit. “Lan Yiren, for the sake of our past cooperation, I can spare your body.”
"Azure Dragon, even if you suspect me, you must let me see the Dark Moon leader in person so that he can make the decision. What right do you have to execute me on your own? Don't forget, my benefactor has a very good relationship with the Dark Moon leader. I didn't die at the hands of the enemy, but at the hands of my own people. Do you think you can escape punishment?"
Qinglong's hand, which was about to pull the trigger, trembled slightly, and he was caught in a dilemma.
Bai Long, who was standing nearby, listened to Lan Yiren's words and advised, "Brother, she's right. We still can't tell if she's an enemy or a friend. "Understood!" After receiving the order, Bai Long immediately turned and headed towards the base.
As Lan Yiren watched him leave in a panic, a mocking sneer flashed through her mind.
As expected of Dark Moon, they are always so cautious, no matter the situation.
Both he and Gu Momo are so difficult to deal with, she is very curious whether the final victor of this war will be Dark Moon or Gu Momo!
"Do you have any smoke?" The Dark Moon organization's base was located in a deserted forest. Outside the base was a rocky clearing. She simply found a rock and used it as a stool, sitting down on it.
Qinglong gave her a cold look, took out a cigarette case from his pocket, tossed one to her, and questioned her as he did so:
"How exactly did you escape from the underground prison? It was heavily guarded, with nearly thirty checkpoints. Not even a bird could fly in, let alone escape. Or did you use some information to negotiate with Gu Momo? Otherwise, why would they willingly let you out!"
Lan Yiren caught the cigarette he tossed her, then checked her clothes and found she had no lighter. So she got up and walked over to Qinglong, saying, "Can I borrow a light again?"
Qinglong gritted his teeth in anger, but still took out a lighter and lit her cigarette.
Lan Yiren exhaled smoke with a look of enjoyment on her face. Being locked up in that dark and gloomy place for the past few days had really made her miserable.
She took a few deep breaths, still feeling unsatisfied, but Qinglong beside her was already very impatient: "Lan Yiren! While I'm still talking to you nicely, explain the whole story to me!"
"Don't rush me. I'm telling you now, but I'll have to tell the leader again in a bit, right? Do you think I'm bored?" Lan Yiren threw away her cigarette butt and was about to go back to sit on the rock when the base door opened again.
Bai Long led a group of his men out, and they quickly patrolled a three-kilometer radius around the base to avoid any hidden snipers or assassins.
Only after his subordinates had surveyed the area and confirmed it was safe did Bai Long stand respectfully at the door, nodding to greet them:
