Gu Jingxing jumped off the chair and immediately became incredibly obedient.
He ran up to Li Zhanting, timidly tugging at his father's trouser leg as if he had been bullied, "Daddy, am I destined to die young?"
Li Zhanting was slightly taken aback. When the doctor diagnosed Zixiao back then, he said that Zixiao might not live past the age of seven.
But he had never mentioned this to Zixiao before, so why would his darling ask such a question today?
Li Zhanting's heart softened completely because of his son's innocent voice.
He squatted down and rubbed Gu Jingxing's head, saying, "Of course Zixiao won't die young. Zixiao will live to be a hundred."
Gu Jingxing's big, dark eyes were full of innocence. He tilted his head and said, "Daddy, you're so strange. You clearly taught me to listen to my teacher, but you yourself don't seem to listen to your teacher very much."
When the tutor heard him suddenly mention her, a sense of foreboding washed over her.
Why is this short-lived man suddenly bringing him up? Does he want to complain about him?
However, he immediately dismissed this guess. If this short-lived fellow were really going to file a complaint, would he have waited until now?
Li Zhanting immediately sensed the underlying meaning. He gave the tutor a warning look, his voice becoming even gentler, "Tell me, how did your teacher teach you?"
The tutor's heart leaped into his throat. He never expected that Li Zhanting would suspect him so quickly!
No, this short-lived brat is very obedient; he won't tell on us at all!
But Gu Jingxing innocently tilted his head back and said, "The teacher said I'm destined to die young, and that a great man like him should teach renowned scholars of classical Chinese studies, saying I'm not worthy of his teaching at all..."
Li Zhanting's deep eyes were like sharp arrows, piercing towards the tutor.
The tutor shivered under his gaze and quickly retorted, "Master Ting! I am a master of Chinese studies. Masters of Chinese studies value character and upbringing above all else. My moral character and cultivation are recognized by countless people. How could I possibly say such a thing?"
As he spoke, his confidence grew stronger. "If you, Mr. Ting, are going to question me because of a child, then I've misjudged you. You don't need to try to stop me; I can leave right now!"
As he spoke, he actually made a move to leave.
Gu Jingxing quickly said, "Stop!"
The tutor turned around and froze. Why was it this short-lived guy who was trying to persuade him to stay, instead of Li Zhanting?
Gu Jingxing's lips curled into a wicked smile, "If you just leave like this, won't everyone think I'm slandering you? Then let's talk about the evidence and see who's shameless."
He swiped his little finger across his phone screen a few times and quickly found a surveillance video.
Although the camera in this room was broken, Gu Jingxing was a hacker, and this wasn't the only way he could steal video recordings.
"Look, Father, see for yourself! This tutor of mine punished me by making me copy the Records of the Grand Historian while he ate sunflower seeds and slept next to me, and even called me a short-lived devil!"
"Our Li family may be wealthy, but it didn't come from thin air, did it? This old man, full of wicked schemes, must charge quite a bit for an hour, right?"
Li Zhanting looked down at the content on the screen, his pupils suddenly contracted, and his deep eyes became even more unfathomable, as if a storm was about to break.
He wouldn't even let a single hair on his own precious son be touched.
How dare a private tutor humiliate his son like this?
The tutor's legs buckled, and she collapsed to the ground with a thud, pleading for forgiveness, "Mr. Ting! I didn't mean to bully the young master! I'm usually very dedicated! I was just in a bad mood today, so I said a few hurtful things! Mr. Ting, please forgive me, please forgive me!"
Li Zhanting's cold eyes were deep and his whole body exuded a terrifying murderous aura. "If you can't teach me, then don't ever teach me! Guards!"
Four or five security guards rushed in from outside and stood in a neat row.
"Throw this man out. Also..." Li Zhanting paused, then said coldly, "Publish everything that happened today online. He dared to humiliate my son, so I dare to make him permanently socially dead!"
"Yes, Master Ting!"
Upon hearing this, the tutor collapsed to the ground like a deflated balloon, her face ashen, and was thrown out by the Li family's security guards.
He originally thought that Li Zhanting looked down on his son, which was why he wouldn't let him go to kindergarten.
Who would have thought that Li Zhanting would value this short-lived man so much!
A hint of guilt appeared on Li Zhanting's handsome face. He gently rubbed his son's head and said, "Zixiao, I'm sorry. It was Daddy's oversight in this matter."
His voice was so gentle that a hint of disdain flashed in Gu Jingxing's bright eyes.
Even if he's gentle, that's only towards his son, Li Zixiao, not towards him.
He casually walked out with his hands in his pockets, saying, "I'm hungry, I'm going to have the maid cook for me."
Li Zhanting raised an eyebrow. A servant?
He's talking about Gu Shanshan, right?
Although he disliked Gu Shanshan coming to the Li family villa, it seemed that his son was... deliberately targeting Gu Shanshan.
Heh, interesting.
Gu Jingxing followed Li Zhanting downstairs. Several dishes were already set on the dining table, but compared to the huge rectangular rotating dining table in the Li family restaurant...
These dishes that Gu Shanshan had carefully prepared looked rather lonely.
Gu Jingxing sat down at the dining table, and Gu Shanshan immediately followed, handing him chopsticks with a hint of flattery and expectation, "Zixiao, why don't you try it? You said you wanted to eat spicy chicken last time, so I specially learned how to make it. There's also steamed sea bass, which are the dishes you ordered last time."
