"Fuying, you're still injured, don't come along. Go to the hospital with the ambulance and wait for news." Mo Feng said with difficulty, then looked at Asen beside him, "You go to the hospital with Fuying."
“Let’s go, Miss Fuying.” Asen tried to persuade her to leave, but Fuying resolutely took a few steps back, her eyes red as she looked at Mo Feng and said, “Assistant Mo, I know you’re doing this for my own good. You don’t want me to see Ye Sijue die a horrible death. You think it’s too cruel for me. But Assistant Mo, I have to go. Whether he’s still alive or not, I must find him. He was in such danger to save me. I can’t be a coward. Even if he’s dead, I will personally bring him home.”
Moved by Fu Ying's persistence, Mo Feng finally relented, "Alright, let's not delay and set off immediately."
With Director Liu's assistance, the criminal organization's villa in the back mountain was completely sealed off, all the wounded remaining members of the criminal organization were captured, and those who tried to escape were also arrested.
Fu Ying and Mo Feng led the military doctors from the headquarters to search everywhere, but after searching for more than ten miles along the place where they had separated from Ye Sijue, they still could not find Ye Sijue.
"No, we can't keep searching aimlessly like this. Let's grab someone alive and ask them something." As Mo Feng was speaking, he happened to run into two police officers who were about to escort a remnant of a criminal organization to a car at the foot of the mountain. He immediately stepped forward and stopped them. "Excuse me, I have a question to ask."
Knowing that Mo Feng was one of Li Zhanting's men, the subordinates naturally withdrew respectfully.
Before Mo Feng could even speak, Fu Ying had already stepped forward, grabbed the man by the collar, and demanded, "Where's Ye Sijue! What have you done to him? Where is he? Tell me now!"
This was the first time Mo Feng had ever seen Fu Ying display such a fierce look, so incongruous with her obedient appearance.
"Heh? You want to know? Then go find out yourselves. Ye Sijue killed so many of our brothers back then. Whether he's still alive or not is a question now that he's fallen into our hands!"
Fu Ying's eyes were bloodshot, and she was gripped by immense fear, which nearly drove her to madness. She pulled a pistol from her waist and pointed it at the man's forehead. "Tell me where he is!"
Facing Fu Ying, a frail woman, the remaining accomplices were full of contempt: "I don't know, go ahead and kill me if you dare!"
Fu Ying's hand holding the pistol trembled uncontrollably. Despite being terrified, he slowly pulled the trigger in a state of extreme anger and despair.
"This is not something a girl like you should do." Mo Feng grabbed the muzzle of the gun, took the pistol from her hand, drew a dagger from his waist, and pointed it at Yu Dang's neck.
"Do you think I'd let you die so easily? Our Li family manor's underground prison has hundreds of ancient torture methods still in use today. One of them a day could make you wish you were dead for a whole year. I'm giving you one last chance. You'd better tell me honestly where you've taken Ye Sijue. Otherwise, I don't mind taking you there."
Compared to Fu Ying pointing a gun at his head, Mo Feng's dark and torturous threat was more terrifying to him.
When the remaining members of the gang heard that they were to be transferred there, they were so frightened that they trembled all over and confessed everything in their nervousness.
"After they captured him, they tortured him for a full twenty minutes, constantly hitting his head with an iron bar, and then..."
Upon hearing his description, Fu Ying clenched her fists, her whole body trembling uncontrollably. Despite her best efforts to control her tears, they still streamed down her face.
Mo Feng felt incredibly sorry for her as he watched her try so hard to control herself but was powerless to do anything about it.
He glared at the remnants of the Dark Organization before him, "I'm asking you, where are they now! Where are they?!"
"In a mass grave!" the man roared, his voice trembling as if he had been driven to desperation. "There's a mass grave on this mountain! They threw him there!"
Mo Feng gritted his teeth, suppressing his rage to stab him to death, and kicked him hard in the collar. "Lead the way!"
Led by the man, Fu Ying, Mo Feng, and the military doctor finally arrived at the so-called mass grave.
This is where criminal organizations deal with women who try to escape or disobey. Fu Ying can't even imagine that countless young girls are buried beneath this land.
This place isn't very big, but it's not small either. If you were to search the whole place, it would take at least half an hour.
"Where did you leave Ye Sijue?! Tell me now!" To save time, Mo Feng slapped the man across the face and demanded an answer.
"I don't know either, I didn't come with them! That's all I know!"
Judging from the man's appearance, Mo Feng thought he was genuinely unaware. Rather than wasting time interrogating him, it would be better to find Ye Sijue as soon as possible.
Fu Ying knew that Ye Sijue's current condition was extremely dangerous. According to that person's description, it was unknown whether Ye Sijue was still alive.
During the intervals of Mo Feng's interrogation, she had already begun searching. From a short distance away, she vaguely saw a dark shadow in the distance. Without thinking of anything else, she took a step and ran over quickly.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be just a black plastic bag.
"Ye Sijue, where are you? I beg you, please hold on, I'm coming, I'm coming to take you home, you have to wait for me." Fu Ying prayed silently in her heart. If she could, she would even be willing to use all the luck of the rest of her life to ensure Ye Sijue's safety.
Perhaps heaven had finally heard her prayers, for her subordinates, who were helping with the search, stood beside a small, steep slope and shouted, "Found her! She's here! She's here!"
Fuying stumbled and ran over, only slightly frowning when her ankle was scratched by a tree branch. But when she reached the spot where her subordinates were standing, she froze in place.
Beneath the weeds and unknown branches, Ye Sijue lay on the ground, his head covered in blood. His body was covered in visible wounds, and his torn black night clothes revealed bright red bloodstains. What shocked her most was the congealed blood clots on his head, which had almost soaked his entire scalp.
"Ye Sijue! Ye Sijue!" she cried out in anguish, completely disregarding how shaky the small hill in front of her was, and pushed aside her subordinates who were trying to stop her as she rushed down it.
There was no way to land safely on such a steep slope. Fuying practically tumbled down, and when she landed next to Ye Sijue, her body was covered in cuts from rubble and unknown branches.
But she couldn't feel any pain; she only felt as if her heart was being torn apart, and she couldn't breathe.
She stumbled and crawled to his side, mustered her courage, and reached out to check his breath.
His breathing was very faint, so faint that it was even fainter than the wind in the mountains and forests, but she could truly feel that he still had life left.
"He's still breathing, doctor! Doctor! He's alive! Please save him!" Fu Ying raised her head and shouted towards the sky.
"Miss Fuying, please don't move the patient or shake him. Make a little noise to try and wake him up. We'll find a way down right away," the doctor shouted from the small, steep slope above.
