Chapter 1182 Master and Disciple
Song Chunxue was initially surprised, but after seeing the doctor's demeanor and speech, she felt that it was reasonable to call him a reclusive master.
"You know my master?"
"I heard he's taken on two more apprentices, that'll keep him very busy." The old doctor waved his hand. "I'm going to take a nap, we'll talk again next time."
Only then did she notice a tabby cat crouching on the shelf inside the clinic.
The tabby cat would even close the door, strolling leisurely and giving her a nonchalant glance.
After the door closed, Song Chunxue suddenly missed the stubborn donkey.
These past two days, the people in the yamen have been particularly fond of the stubborn donkey, eating and drinking well, so much so that they've forgotten all about her.
On her way back, she saw someone selling camels.
However, due to language barriers, the conversation didn't go very well.
"I was asking if they still include a cushion or footrest, because wouldn't it be uncomfortable to sit on like that?"
“Disciple, you talk to him.” The man turned to the person beside him with a helpless expression.
“Master, he’s not speaking a dialect, but a minority language. I can’t understand a word of it. Maybe we should just give up.”
Song Chunxue stood at a distance, watching the spectacle unfold. What were these two doing here?
Didn't Xie Zheng stay in Liangzhou for several years?
No, isn't he supposed to stay in the capital for a year?
What does Master Han need camels for? They're easy to kill if you don't know how to raise them.
Seeing that they were talking nonsense to the vendor and being dragged along, Song Chunxue slowly walked over.
"What are you two doing here?"
Master Han suddenly turned his head, "You brat! Standing there watching the show, hurry up and tell this man that we want to buy camels, and we also need camel saddles."
Xie Zheng turned and glanced at her, then stepped aside.
Why are you buying camels?
"Ride on, we're heading into the desert to find medicinal herbs," Master Han said irritably. "What, are you suggesting we buy them to eat?"
It seems he was angry.
Song Chunxue suppressed a laugh, "Doesn't Martial Aunt know how to communicate with camels?"
"Exchange my ass! This beast is laughing at me, just watching the spectacle." Master Han flicked his sleeves. "I've never seen anything so malicious, insisting on buying it to torture me for days."
She even got into a contest with the camel; Song Chunxue wanted to laugh but didn't dare.
Although she couldn't understand what people were saying very well, she could still gesture.
Finally, under the watchful eyes of her master and apprentice, she bought the camel, saddle, cage, salt, and fodder given to her by the camel trader.
Master Han was somewhat frustrated. He had lived longer than others, so how could he not even handle something this simple?
However, along the way, they stopped in several places, and traveling as two men was not as smooth as traveling as traveling as a large group of people before.
It seems that no matter what kind of life you lead, you can't do without a woman.
Handing the reins to Xie Zheng, Song Chunxue asked, "Where are you going next?"
"Let's rest here first. My senior brother said that his old friend is an old miracle doctor who lives in seclusion in this city. We need to find him first; perhaps he can cure his illness." Master Han patted the dust off his clothes. "It's really windy here."
What a coincidence?
Song Chunxue looked at the dust on the ground, which had been swept away by the whirlwind and was much cleaner, with all the footprints of the pedestrians gone.
Countless pedestrians have walked this street, and all have vanished without a trace.
The master and apprentice discussed finding an inn first, but Master Han said they should set off at night because it was too hot during the day.
"Wait a minute, I know where that doctor is."
"How do you know?" Master Han clearly didn't believe him. "How did you determine that?"
“He recognized me as a disciple of Lingyun Mountain.”
Master Han pondered for a moment, then asked, "Why do you want to see a doctor?"
"How about we stay at the county government office first? It's a fairly spacious place, and the accommodations aren't bad, though there are a lot of people there," Song Chunxue said with a faint smile. "This is a long story, let's talk about it as we walk."
The master and apprentice had no objections.
Xie Zheng, dressed in moon-white clothes, followed behind them, leading a camel.
Song Chunxue briefly explained the whole story, and Master Han sneered, "Fine, when he comes, I'll teach him a lesson. If he can't control his hands, he'll suffer a fate worse than death."
She wanted to explain that it wasn't that serious.
But then she remembered that her uncle was standing up for her, and that he always knew his limits.
"Then we'll have to rely on you, Uncle-Master." Upon arriving at the entrance of the county government office, Song Chunxue raised her hand, "Uncle-Master, please."
Han Mo rushed to Master Han like a gust of wind, "Father! What brings you here?"
Upon seeing his son, Master Han finally smiled, his dignified expression replaced by tenderness.
"I came here specifically to see you. Have you been causing any trouble lately?"
"I'm being good, why would Dad think I'm a troublemaker?" Han Mo crossed his arms and looked at his father with dissatisfaction.
When the yamen runners saw Master Han's youthful face, they wondered how old he was if Han Mo called him "father".
When they stood up, they looked more like brothers.
When Sanwa learned that Xie Zheng had arrived, he rushed over in a hurry.
"Thank you, sir!"
He happily ran straight to Xie Zheng, "Lord Xie, do you still remember me?"
Seeing everyone's gaze fall on him, he quickly turned to Master Han and bowed respectfully, "Greetings, Master Han."
"Well, let's go, let's have some tea first." Master Han knew that these younger people were reserved in front of him, so he didn't exchange many pleasantries with them.
Inside the house, the familiar faces gathered together again. Changfeng, Changyun, and Tudan were all very happy, chatting and laughing together.
Song Chunxue asked the kitchen to make two bowls of fermented noodle soup, which Master Han and Xie Zheng ate without hesitation.
Summer is hot, and people don't like to spend time outdoors.
The most pleasant time is after sunset, when a gentle breeze caresses your face.
Everyone sat in the courtyard eating cold noodles and braised pork hock, as well as Mulan's homemade jelly. The pork hock and jelly were eaten the fastest.
However, seeing Sanwa and Xie Zheng chatting happily, Song Chunxue didn't even know how she should feel.
That heartless bastard forgot all about her.
