After returning, Kunning Palace was noticeably quieter; it looked like Master Kaiyuan had already left. Meng Qi didn't go to the main hall and went straight into the courtyard of the west side hall.
Entering the main hall, Fanghua came out from the east room. "What? Going to be your good daughter-in-law? Is Concubine Lian satisfied?"
Meng Qi smiled slightly, "Whether I'm satisfied or not, I'm also a daughter-in-law." After saying that, she turned and went to the west room. Fang Hua was stunned for a moment, then understood, "Meng Qi, what do you mean?"
Meng Qi stopped and said, "I'm your sixth sister-in-law. Why are you talking to me like this? Don't you know what you mean?"
Fang Hua watched Meng Qi walk into the west room. She angrily took off the cloak she had just put on and limped over to follow her. The maid beside her hurriedly tried to stop her, "Princess, you promised the Third Princess that you would go to her place. I'm afraid the Third Princess will wait..."
Fanghua slapped the palace maid back and said, "Shut up, all of you get out, no one is allowed to come in." After that, she went into the west room.
Several palace maids and Ms. Li looked at each other in confusion. Qinxiang thought for a moment and stepped forward and said, "Let's go out. You don't know the princess's temper yet. If she knew we were standing here, I'm afraid..."
Ms. Li was still thinking about going to the west room when Qinxiang came and pulled her sleeve. "Since they moved in yesterday, the two have had several quarrels. Ms. Li knows the reason well. It's just a quarrel. At most, a teacup will be smashed. It won't be a big deal. They are both people with their own rules." As she was speaking, the sound of a teacup falling to the ground was heard from the west room.
"It's so boring. Every time I want to have a good chat, I have to smash the cup." Fanghua said quietly as she looked at the teacup on the ground.
"What are you afraid of? I promised you a better set anyway." Meng Qi said with a smile, "Where are you going in this outfit?"
Fanghua took off her jacket and said, "Master Kaiyuan said he wanted to build a pagoda for the Empress. Everyone is in the East Courtyard right now, so I can't not go."
Meng Qi understood that it should be offered somewhere.
"Then I'll make it short. I know why you have a stomachache."
Fanghua looked up, "What?"
"Answer me first, do you believe what I told you yesterday?"
Fanghua nodded. "I'm just lame, my brain isn't broken. I know there must be a reason for this after a little thought. I just don't know what it is this time."
Meng Qi noticed that Fanghua was talking about this time, which proved that such small quarrels were common in the past. She sighed in her heart and whispered her thoughts.
Fanghua slapped the table. "It's always like this. Whenever my marriage with Yong'an is mentioned, it must be me who is causing trouble, making Yong'an afraid to look for someone. But I can complain to the emperor about everything. How can I say this? After all, those families she mentioned are also acceptable in the eyes of the emperor."
Meng Qi snorted coldly, "You're just petty. I'm angry that you took away Yong'an's favor from the Emperor."
"When I get the chance, I will make her pay." Fanghua said hatefully.
"Now you have the chance, do you want to take revenge?"
"Spread the news? How?" Fanghua's eyes lit up instantly. She stood up and limped to Meng Qi's side. She lowered her head and listened to Meng Qi whispering to her, and the corners of her mouth slowly rose.
-----
In the east courtyard of Kunning Palace, Imperial Concubine Xiang and Imperial Concubine Xian were leading several princesses and concubines to build a pagoda. The eunuch in charge of the west wing came in and said, "Princess, I'm afraid Princess Fanghua will come later."
Yong'an was wiping his hands, and before he could ask, Concubine Xian whispered, "Tell her not to worry. If Master Kaiyuan hadn't said that the more people stacked, the more prestigious the status, the better, there would be no need to ask her to come. It would be inconvenient for her."
Concubine Xiang asked, "What happened to Princess Fanghua?"
The eunuch in charge looked at Yong'an with embarrassment. Yong'an handed the handkerchief to the palace maid and asked, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Yong'an remembered that Fanghua had diarrhea a few days ago and her face turned pale.
"No, no, it's Princess Rui who's back."
"What does Princess Rui's return have to do with the princess?" Rong Zhaoyi stopped what she was doing and asked.
"Yes, yes, two people..."
"Could it be that the two of them are arguing again?" asked the virtuous concubine.
When Princess Duan heard this, her eyes lit up. Just as she was about to respond, she heard Concubine Xiang say, "We were inconsiderate. We let the Sixth Prince's wife live with Fanghua. In just two days, how many fights have they had?"
The maid beside her thought for a moment and said, "There should be four. I heard a set of tea sets was broken."
Xian Fei thought for a moment and said, "Sister, why don't we let the Sixth Wife live here, and ask the Fifth Wife to stay with Fang Hua?"
She shook her head at the Imperial Concubine. It would be better if such a lively performance could be held every day. "Forget it. Master Kaiyuan also said that these three days are enough. There is no need to move it back and forth, which would only make something that was not there become something that was there."
In the West Courtyard, Fanghua walked ahead, her voice puffed up, much faster than usual. Meng Qi followed slowly behind, pondering the feasibility and success rate of the entire plan. The more she thought about it, the more convinced she was that it was possible, and a smile rose at the corner of her mouth.
Ms. Li looked at Meng Qi's expression and knew that her princess would definitely win this battle.
"Go back and get my handkerchief." Meng Qi touched the muff and said to Ms. Li.
Qinxiang saw Ms. Li walking back and slowed down a few steps. When Meng Qi caught up, she took out a small sign from her hand and said, "I found this in the small kitchen of Kunning Palace at noon. I thought the princess would know who it belongs to."
Meng Qi took the small card and looked at Qinxiang. Qinxiang nodded and walked forward.
Meng Qi looked down at the small badge. It was a very ordinary little waist badge with the word "Rui" written on it and the number 11 marked in red below. It was worn by eunuchs, female officials, and servants in the palace. The red and blue colors represented male and female, and the numbers were shorthand for each person. Of course, this waist badge wasn't available to everyone; only those allowed in and out of the palace could wear it. The only servants from the Rui Palace who were allowed to wear it today were Hu Changsheng and Ms. Li.
