Meng Qi's face was solemn as she left Marquis Huainan's study, a hint of confusion. After all she had said to Meng Changfeng, he hadn't shared the reason for his concern, or the truth. She suspected something was wrong with Meng Hai, or perhaps Prince Cheng? Could it be that they were planning to take action early?
As for the racecourse, Meng Changfeng mentioned it clearly, probably with the intention of revealing it to Song Chengze. Prince Cheng must be planning or arranging something there.
Meng Qi just felt a headache. What Meng Changfeng said today was beyond her ability. She would go back and tell Song Chengze about it and let him worry about it.

Meng Wan sat down opposite him and asked, "Grandfather, what did you ask me to do?"
Meng Qi raised her head and nodded as Wang brushed her loose hair. "I don't quite understand the details. I'll talk to the prince when I get back. Mother, I heard that Jiang has been very close to Third Aunt recently."
Wang tapped her forehead and said, "Don't say that. She is your sister-in-law."

According to the agreement between the two, after having some snacks in Wang's courtyard, they said goodbye and went to Meng Wan's dowry courtyard in Jinchuan Hutong.
Meng Wan sat there listening to Meng Qi talk about the news she had found out about Concubine Hui.
"Second sister, what is the relationship between this Huipin and the Prince? Is she important to your investigation into the matter of my second brother-in-law's mother?"
Meng Wan nodded. "That's right. Your second brother-in-law and I suspect she's one of the reasons why the prince has always held a grudge against his mother-in-law."
Meng Qi was a little surprised. "Could it be that Prince Shen wanted to marry Concubine Hui, but your mother-in-law stopped him?"

For a concubine who has no children and is not favored to be able to achieve this, there must be someone behind her.
