Chapter 38 Embracing a Handsome Man

Tu Shan Honghong opened her eyes and looked at Chi Musheng, who was bowing his head in silence.

"Chi Musheng, aren't you going to make a wish?"

She sensed a feeling of loneliness and longing, as well as painful memories, from Chi Musheng at this moment, which was very similar to her former self.

"I've made my wish. It's very simple, so simple it only takes two words."

The moment Chi Musheng raised her head, the gloom vanished, leaving only a gentle, warm smile and pure eyes, like a child who had never known the ways of the world, completely different from before.

Tu Shan Honghong was very curious about "which two words." If possible, she wanted to help Chi Musheng fulfill his wish.

Chi Musheng looked up at the sky, raised a finger and put it between his lips, indicating that he could not speak.

"You can't say it; if you do, it won't work."

This is something he can't talk about; he can only keep it to himself. Those two words are what keep him going.

"So that's how it is," Tu Shan Honghong suddenly realized.

No wonder everyone is making wishes in their hearts; feelings can't be spoken aloud.

"Boss, on the Lantern Festival, there's a special food called tangyuan (sweet rice balls). It's at that stall over there, and it's an important part of the Lantern Festival tradition."

Chi Musheng pointed to a small stall with several tables next to it.

Sister, aren't you hungry?

You're not hungry, but he is! He only ate two bites of the baked egg and milk, and you showed off the rest. He also ate half a pot of spicy rabbit. You're not hungry.

He was so hungry he was about to collapse on the ground. He only ate two bites a day; even a horse wouldn't eat like that.

"I've never had tangyuan before," Tu Shan Honghong said calmly, completely oblivious to Chi Musheng's hint.

"If you haven't tried it before, why not give it a shot? The next Lantern Festival will be another year away, Boss!"

Chi Musheng pulled Tu Shan Honghong to the stall and called out.

"Auntie, two bowls of sesame-filled glutinous rice balls, please."

"Please have a seat, it will be ready soon," the old lady said, pouring the glutinous rice balls that had been placed in the bowls beforehand into the pot.

Once the glutinous rice balls are properly wrapped, they cook very quickly, in just the time it takes for an incense stick to burn.

Chi Musheng led Tu Shan Honghong around and found that the table was full, with two couples sharing a table. There was only half a table left in front of them.

He asked directly to a couple at the table.

"You two, I wouldn't recommend sharing a table."

Of course, it's just a polite remark; the other person has to sit even if they don't agree. They can't possibly eat standing up.

"Brother, no need to be so polite. We're all just here for sightseeing," the man said, waving his hand.

"Thanks then." Chi Musheng pulled Tu Shan Honghong to sit down. Since it was a rectangular table, there were only two benches on the table. The couple opposite them sat on one bench, and he and Tu Shan Honghong sat on the other bench.

But the bench is not long, as if it was deliberately designed so that if you want to sit with your buttocks not halfway out, the two people on the bench have to sit very close together.

To accommodate his benefactor's feelings, Chi Musheng consciously moved aside a little so that Tu Shan Honghong could sit more comfortably.

If she hadn't moved, it would have been fine, but as soon as she moved, Tu Shan Hong Hong's gaze followed her and looked over.

A hint of unhappiness was in her eyes. Why did Chi Musheng insist on keeping his distance from her, even when sitting on a stool?

On the other benches, two people were pressed together, but Chi Musheng, as if avoiding her, left nearly half a foot of space, almost lifting his entire body off the bench.

Maybe she's not as scary as you think.

"Ahem, brother, what's wrong? Did you have a fight?" the gossipy man across from him asked.

He had an expression that said he was waiting for Chi Musheng to say yes, and that he was about to comfort the two of them.

"Don't overthink it, no," Chi Musheng hurriedly denied, embarrassed.

What's there to argue about? Does he even dare to argue? First of all, Tu Shan Hong Hong is his sugar daddy. Secondly, Tu Shan Hong Hong is a demon queen who will beat you up at the slightest provocation. Who would dare to argue with her?

Don't be fooled by her harmless appearance. Once you get to Tushan, you'll see what it means to leave safely in your underwear. If you're in a good mood today, you'll be carried back with broken bones.

The man, as if he knew everything about the two of them, began to offer advice to Chi Musheng.

"Hey brother, as the saying goes, a real man should be more magnanimous, and a girlfriend is meant to be pampered. Why resort to the silent treatment when a little coaxing would have solved everything?"

He was thrilled; it seemed he was about to win back another couple. As the saying goes, "Benefiting one couple leads to the happiness of a thousand, and it's a good deed that accumulates merit."

Chi Musheng almost fell to the ground. "Don't you want to see what you're saying? Girlfriend? Cold war?"

You really think highly of him. At best, he's just a gigolo who doesn't sell his body, a simp, and a sleep-inducing man.

Please shut your mouth immediately, or you'll make things look bad even when there's nothing wrong.

"Don't talk nonsense, it's not true," Chi Musheng said, his face darkening.

Didn't you check the almanac before going out today?

First, he met the clay figurine shop owner, who was asking for trouble. Then he met the guy sharing the table, who wanted him dead. He broke a law, and then he met the two of you.

“Whether it is or not, I’ll know once I try,” the man said, grabbing Chi Musheng’s hand.

This action displeased Tu Shanhao a little, but the next second, a faint smile appeared on her lips.

The man placed Chi Musheng's hand in her palm and gently squeezed it, their fingers now intertwined.

Chi Musheng was sweating profusely with nervousness and didn't want to say anything anymore. Where did these weirdos come from?

The man then walked to Chi Musheng's side and said, "As the saying goes, hand in hand, a chain of hearts, brother, can you feel the beauty's heart?"

"Hmm," Chi Musheng simply read the message and didn't want to reply.

He simply didn't have the energy to argue with this oddball in front of him.

“Very well, then I will help you out again,” the man whispered in Chi Musheng’s ear.

Upon hearing this, Chi Musheng had a bad feeling.
