“I believe the masses have discerning eyes, so what would you like to have for breakfast, Miss Third?” Chi Musheng immediately replied with a smile.
Although he didn't know why Tu Shan Rongrong suddenly wanted to invite him to dinner, he absolutely couldn't let Tu Shan Honghong know that he was licking Tu Shan Rongrong's boots.
After all, he wasn't sure what Tu Shan Hong Hong would do in her rage.
"What should we eat?" Tu Shan Rongrong suddenly struggled with this question.
She hadn't eaten breakfast for decades, and for the past three years, Chi Musheng had been bringing her breakfast.
When Chi Musheng saw Tu Shan Rongrong pause, he immediately declined politely.
"Third Miss, since you haven't made up your mind yet, why don't you invite me to dinner another day?"
It's always good to keep your distance from clients whose contracts are ending.
Hearing Chi Musheng reject her, Tu Shan Rongrong clenched her little fists. What, is it so hard to have a meal with her?
From the beginning until now, Chi Musheng has rejected her three times. It's because Tu Shan Rongrong is not worthy of having dinner with you.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. Tu Shan Rongrong felt inexplicably frustrated. Chi Musheng had no choice but to eat this meal today, whether he wanted to or not.
"Alright, but I might hear some bad news another day," Tu Shan Rongrong said through gritted teeth.
There's a limit to how many times things should be done. If Chi Musheng dares to refuse again, well...
"Ahem, Miss, the head of the household is quite busy, so let's not bother her." Chi Musheng grabbed Tu Shan Rongrong's wrist and headed straight for Uncle Ze's steamed bun shop.
The demons of Tushan usually get up late, and the breakfast shop doesn't open until 7 a.m., except for Uncle Ze, who can't sleep and opens the shop at around 5 a.m.
"He held my hand." Tu Shan Rongrong looked at the hand on her wrist, her expression changing slightly. This was the first time a man had held her hand, and it felt strange.
Her feet unconsciously followed behind Chi Musheng, just like an obedient little sister next door.
Chi Musheng didn't think that much; he just wanted Tu Shan Rongrong to finish eating as soon as possible so they could go back home.
"Uncle Ze, a bowl of porridge and a bowl of steamed buns, please," Chi Musheng called out to Uncle Ze, who was busy in the shop.
"Xiao Sheng, did you not eat enough just now?" Uncle Ze looked up and saw that Chi Musheng was holding Tu Shan Rongrong's wrist. His expression changed from shock to a kind smile.
That brat! No wonder I told him I wasn't going to pursue him anymore; turns out he'd already won her over.
Just as Chi Musheng and Tu Shan Rongrong sat down, Uncle Ze brought two baskets of steamed buns and a bowl of porridge and placed them in front of them. Before leaving, he gave Chi Musheng a meaningful look.
"Uncle Ze, it's not what you think." When Chi Musheng saw that look in his eyes, he knew that Uncle Ze must have misunderstood. He and Tu Shan Rongrong were truly innocent, completely innocent, and they had never even held hands.
However, Uncle Ze chose to ignore it. Everyone saw you leading the way, how could it be fake? Who has ever seen the Third Miss being led by a man? You say you're innocent, who would believe that?
Tu Shan Rongrong looked down at the two baskets of steamed buns and the white porridge in front of her, feeling that none of them smelled as good as the ones made by Chi Musheng.
"Third Miss, Uncle Ze's steamed buns are delicious, why don't you try them?" Chi Musheng recommended.
"Um"
However, Tu Shan Rongrong did not make a move. Instead, she looked at Chi Musheng, as if expecting something.
Why are you staring at me? The contract is over. You still want me to feed you hand-in-hand? No way. Eat it or don't, Chi Musheng pretended not to see it.
Unmoved by Chi Musheng's indifference, Tu Shan Rongrong silently picked up a steamed bun, put it in her mouth and chewed it slowly, wondering why Chi Musheng wouldn't feed her.
As for why Chi Musheng smelled like her older sister, Tu Shan Rongrong had long forgotten about it.
"Why aren't you eating?" Tu Shan Rongrong asked, swallowing the bun in her mouth.
How could she possibly finish two baskets of steamed buns? At least not in front of Chi Musheng.
"Is it possible that I had already eaten before I met you, Miss Third?" After saying that, Chi Musheng let out a burp.
I copied it. If you had told me earlier that you would treat him to dinner, I wouldn't have had to spend extra money on breakfast this morning.
"By the way, what's the matter that made you get up so early?" Tu Shan Rongrong asked after a moment's thought.
I didn't see Chi Musheng make her breakfast today either; something's fishy about it.
"Me?" Chi Musheng broke out in a cold sweat over this question. He couldn't very well say that he had just crawled out of his sister's bed, could he? Tu Shan Rongrong would probably kill him before Tu Shan Honghong even had a chance to do anything.
Why was Tu Shan Rongrong so concerned about him? Wait, was there something fishy going on? Chi Musheng sensed something was wrong.
Wait a minute, he crawled out of Tu Shan Hong Hong's bed, so he must be covered in Tu Shan Hong Hong's scent. With a fox's sense of smell, Tu Shan Rong Rong must have smelled Tu Shan Hong Hong's scent.
Damn! One slip and I almost went to the Western Paradise.
“My job in Tushan is to wash clothes for others,” Chi Musheng said firmly.
"Washing clothes?" Tu Shan Rongrong suddenly realized. No wonder Chi Musheng smelled like her sister. But when did her sister hire Chi Musheng to wash her clothes? She had to ask when she got back.
My previously agitated mood instantly improved.
"Aren't these steamed buns delicious?" Chi Musheng breathed a sigh of relief after getting away with it.
Being a "simp" is also a high-risk profession; the higher the reward, the greater the risk.
"Hmm, no, it's not as bad as what you make." Tu Shan Rongrong originally wanted to say that it wasn't as good as what Chi Musheng made, but she was afraid that if she gave Chi Musheng confidence, she would let Chi Musheng appear and give her the illusion that she liked it.
"It seems my cooking skills still need improvement," Chi Musheng said half-jokingly.
A fox that likes to lie is no good fox. Even though it always eats every last crumb, it still says that the food is not good.
Is that longing look in your eyes just me deceiving myself?
"Don't waste your time in the future. Always try to avoid wasting food and eat it all up. It also affects my work." Tu Shan Rongrong swallowed the bun in her mouth with difficulty.
