Chapter 177, May 17

Chapter 177, May 17

Why did it stop?

Suddenly, a magnetic voice rang out from behind.

Luo Jiayin suddenly turned her head and looked towards the source of the sound.

About two meters away from her stood a tall, upright man.

Like Luo Jiayin, the man was wearing a hat and sunglasses, which obscured his face.

Luo Jiayin couldn't see the man's face clearly, but from the voice he had just spoken, she recognized him as Wei Fuzhou.

Wei Fuzhou, the young master of the Henry Group, a major conglomerate in northern Myanmar, is known as "Young Master" among them.

Wei Fuzhou walked towards Luo Jiayin step by step.

Luo Jiayin stared at Wei Fuzhou without saying a word.

"It's been a long time, Jialan."

Luo Jiayin glanced at him indifferently, remained silent, and continued to observe Wei Fuzhou out of the corner of her eye.

He was wearing a casual suit with a light gray T-shirt underneath, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing his strong arms, exuding a lazy, aristocratic elegance.

Wei Fuzhou stretched out his long, beautiful hand, took off his sunglasses and hat, revealing a handsome face.

He smiled wickedly: "You know what, Jialan, I've always missed you."

Wei Fuzhou slowly approached Luo Jiayin.

Luo Jiayin frowned, took a few steps back to create some distance, and then asked, "What do you want to do?"

Wei Fuzhou smiled and said, "We've known each other for a long time, so why are you acting all distant?"

“If I remember correctly, we once traveled to northern Myanmar together. Oh, by the way, I also took you to the Golden Triangle.”

Luo Jiayin narrowed her eyes slightly: "So?"

Wei Fuzhou chuckled and continued, "I even invited you to be my girl back then, but you refused."

"Back then, I thought you were a really interesting girl. You always had a way of provoking me, but you always managed to avoid it at just the right moment, or even fight back."

“I’ve always wanted to keep you by my side, but you’ve never been willing to submit to my protection.”

Wei Fuzhou approached Luo Jiayin step by step, his smile both alluring and dangerous, his tone full of seduction:

"Jialan, be mine. Don't worry, I will make you the most glamorous woman in all of northern Myanmar."

Luo Jiayin pouted, her tone languid: "You've mistaken me for someone else, haven't you?"

Wei Fuzhou smiled but didn't answer. Instead, he asked, "Do you know about 'Poisonous Scorpion'?"

"I don't know." Luo Jiayin shook her head, her tone somewhat mocking. "Do you think a delicate and beautiful girl like me would dare to venture into 'Scorpion's' base alone?"

Wei Fuzhou raised an eyebrow.

“You don’t need to hide it, I know you must have already come to northern Myanmar,” Wei Fuzhou said confidently.

"You must have come because of that woman."

Luo Jiayin neither admitted nor denied it.

"Now that you're here, aren't you afraid I'll kill you?" Wei Fuzhou asked.

Luo Jiayin took off her mask, curled her lips into a smile, and said casually, "Would you kill me?"

Wei Fuzhou did not answer immediately. He walked slowly towards Luo Jiayin until he reached her. He then stretched out his long, jade-like arm and held Luo Jiayin tightly in his arms.

Luo Jiayin struggled for a few moments, but finding that Wei Fuzhou was holding her tightly, she simply gave up resisting.

She tilted her head back and gazed silently at Wei Fuzhou's handsome face, her eyes unblinking, as if trying to see through his mask and into the depths of his heart.

Wei Fuzhou lowered his eyes to meet her gaze, a wicked smile playing on his lips, and a dangerous glint in his dark, deep phoenix eyes that sent chills down one's spine.

Luo Jiayin didn't want to see Wei Fuzhou like this, so she closed her eyes.

A moment later, Wei Fuzhou leaned close to her ear and breathed softly.

"Jialan, I want to kiss you."

"Smack—!"

Luo Jiayin opened her eyes and, without hesitation, raised her hand and slapped Wei Fuzhou hard across the face.

Wei Fuzhou's cheek stung from the slap.

His gaze gradually darkened, and he raised his hand to pinch Luo Jiayin's chin.

"How dare you hit me!"

Luo Jiayin scoffed, "Why can't I hit you?"

Wei Fuzhou tightened his grip, forcing Luo Jiayin's face closer to his.

His deep voice seemed to be mixed with ice shards.

You shouldn't have angered me.

"Annoy you?" Luo Jiayin's tone was full of sarcasm. "Heh, you think too highly of yourself. I wouldn't even bother to provoke you."

A ruthless glint flashed in Wei Fuzhou's eyes.

Luo Jiayin glared back defiantly, her eyes resolute and stubborn.

Wei Fuzhou suddenly raised his right hand, as if to slap Luo Jiayin.

Luo Jiayin gritted her teeth and endured it.

Just as Wei Fuzhou's hand was about to fall, he suddenly changed his actions.

He cupped Luo Jiayin's face in his hands, his slender fingers caressing her soft lips, his deep eyes staring intently at her, his voice low, husky, and ambiguous.

“I don’t like the way you’re looking right now, Jialan. You should look me in the eyes.”

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Luo Jiayin raised her hand, grabbed Wei Fuzhou's wrist, and pushed him outward with force, causing Wei Fuzhou to stagger.

"Don't touch me." Her expression was extremely annoyed.

As Wei Fuzhou looked at Luo Jiayin's expression, his eyes gradually darkened.

He withdrew his hand, placed it behind his back, and said in a gloomy tone, "Jialan, you haven't changed at all."

A sly glint flashed in Luo Jiayin's eyes as she raised her chin: "It's not like we've only known each other for a short time."

"Besides... wasn't it you who had someone leak the news about Bo Nian being in 'Scorpion' to me?"

"..."

Wei Fuzhou's expression instantly turned somewhat awkward.

How did you know?

Luo Jiayin glanced at Wei Fuzhou speechlessly: "What's so hard to guess? Bo Nian's whereabouts in northern Myanmar have always been secretive, even I don't know clearly. And this place is your territory, who else could take her away?"

"Of course, it's the Henry Group."

"Within the entire Henry Group, if there's anyone who wants to tip me off and has the ability to actually deliver the message, I'm afraid... it's only you, Young Master Wei."

"..."

Wei Fuzhou did not deny it.

"I just wanted to help you. After all, Bo Nian isn't really of much use to us. It's just that she helped you lose the Black Mansion before, and the people in the group have a lot of resentment towards her."

Wei Fuzhou explained to Luo Jiayin, then frowned and asked in confusion, "But since you know that Bo Nian has fallen into our hands, why did you still risk coming here?"

“You can simply call the Black Mansion to rescue you.”

Should we call the Black Mansion to rescue us?

Luo Jiayin shook her head inwardly.

The Black House of today is not the terrifying underground organization that once belonged to the Henry Group. If they came, they would probably be in serious trouble themselves.

Thinking of this, Luo Jiayin sighed softly.

"Wei Fuzhou, I don't want to owe you a favor..."
