Chapter 174 Missing

Chapter 174 Missing

That evening, Luo Jiayin had just returned home after attending a business event.

Ever since returning from "The Singer Whose Main Job Was Delayed", Luo Jiayin had been struggling with whether or not to tell Gu Yishen her true gender.

However, if she were to reveal her true gender to Gu Yishen, she would inevitably have to disclose some information about her actual identity to him.

As for the Luo family and northern Myanmar, these are things she doesn't know how to talk about, and things she can't talk about yet.

She slowly walked to the window, looked at the night outside, and pondered what choice she should make.

Suddenly, she heard her phone ring with a peculiar ringtone.

Luo Jiayin snapped back to reality.

She picked up her phone and glanced at it. It was a message from Ye Jian, who was asking her to call him back as soon as possible because he didn't know if Luo Jiayin was available to talk.

Luo Jiayin opened Dark and logged into her account. She found Ye Jian in her contacts and initiated an encrypted voice call.

"It's me. What's going on? Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Bo Nian has disappeared," Ye Jian said gravely.

"What?!" Luo Jiayin was startled.

She knew Bo Nian's abilities, and his disappearance was a serious matter.

"When did this happen? Where did the person disappear to?"

“I just received the news tonight. The person on our side who was in charge of contacting Bo Nian lost contact with her. When he last received a message from Bo Nian, she was still in northern Myanmar.”

Luo Jiayin's heart tightened.

Bo Nian is a good friend of both her and Ye Jian, and a very important partner who walks alongside them.

Luo Jiayin was very worried.

Bo Nian is a very good girl. She was trafficked to northern Myanmar when she was young and joined the Black Government.

When she and Ye Jian first arrived at the Black Mansion, Bo Nian provided them with a lot of help, both openly and secretly.

It could even be said that Bo Nian's involvement was what gave them a significant boost in their power, allowing the dismantling of the Black Mansion to proceed so smoothly.

"Why did she leave China in the first place?" Luo Jiayin asked, puzzled.

"It is said that some clues about her father were found in northern Myanmar..." Yomi replied.

Luo Jiayin frowned; she vaguely guessed what was going on.

“Sigh…” Luo Jiayin sighed softly.

Luo Jiayin had always known that Bo Nian was a cold-faced but warm-hearted person. She often helped others, but she rarely needed help herself.

Although she often appeared aloof and unapproachable, Luo Jiayin knew better than anyone that Bo Nian had been secretly investigating her background all these years.

She just wanted to know who she was, and what kind of people her father and mother were.

"Where did she find out about this?" Luo Jiayin asked.

"I don't know, the contact person doesn't know either."

Yami paused for a moment, then continued, "Garan, I think there might be something fishy about this."

Luo Jiayin remained silent for a while before saying, "I understand. I'll book a flight to northern Myanmar right away. Please make the arrangements."

"You're going to go there yourself? That's not very convenient, is it..."

"There's nothing inconvenient about it, just do as I say."

Luo Jiayin interrupted Ye Jian's words with a firm tone.

Seeing that she couldn't dissuade him, Ye Jian had no choice but to agree.

"Okay, then you must be careful."

"Don't worry, I will."

After hanging up the phone, Luo Jiayin turned on her computer and began searching for recent news and information about northern Myanmar, hoping to find some clues.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard, her eyes fixed intently on the screen, as if she and her computer were the only people in the world.

She booked the earliest flight, which will take her until 9 a.m. tomorrow.

However, because so few people from China travel to northern Myanmar, there is only one flight per day from China to northern Myanmar.

Luo Jiayin picked up her phone again and dialed Bo Nian's number.

After a long, drawn-out dial tone, Luo Jiayin put down her phone.

Sure enough, the phone call couldn't get through.

Luo Jiayin lay down on the bed, feeling somewhat weak.

"Bo Nian, where are you now...?"

...

In the dead of night, Luo Jiayin sat up in bed.

She slept very restlessly that night and even had a nightmare.

Luo Jiayin walked into the living room in her pajamas and took a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator.

Luo Jiayin took a sip, checked the time on the screen, then unlocked the screen and sent a message to a number.

Not long after, the person on the other end quickly replied, sending a message containing a string of numbers and an address.

Luo Jiayin frowned, put her phone back in her shirt pocket, then turned and went back to her room, intending to lie down and rest some more.

The next day.

Luo Jiayin woke up very early in the morning.

After getting up, she quickly changed her clothes and went downstairs to have breakfast.

When Luo Jiayin came downstairs, Yu Jiucai, wearing pajamas, with messy, unkempt hair, and rubbing his sleepy eyes, walked out of the room.

Seeing Luo Jiayin come downstairs dressed neatly, Yu Jiu was so startled that she immediately sobered up.

She quickly took out her phone to check Luo Jiayin's schedule and activity plan for the next few days.

"There are no announcements today... Ah Yin, did you get the date wrong? Why are you up so early?"

"Well, I have something to take care of, I need to go out for a bit."

Upon hearing Luo Jiayin's words, Yu Jiu blinked and then noticed that Luo Jiayin seemed somewhat haggard.

"Ayin, what's wrong? You look terrible. Are you sick?" Yu Jiu asked with concern.

Luo Jiayin shook her head.

She was worried about Bo Nian and barely slept a wink last night.

She was always afraid that something had happened to Bo Nian in northern Myanmar, and she just wanted to get there as soon as possible.

"Please wait a moment, I'll go wash up and get ready right away."

Yu Jiu hurriedly headed to the restroom, but Luo Jiayin called out to her. Yu Jiu stopped and turned to look at Luo Jiayin.

"You can sleep a little longer. I can go by myself today. You stay home and look after the house," Luo Jiayin said, trying to sound casual.

Yu Jiu looked at Luo Jiayin with a puzzled expression. For some reason, she felt that A-Yin was acting strangely today, as if she had something on her mind.

Yu Jiu carefully examined Luo Jiayin and noticed that Luo Jiayin's outfit today was somewhat different from her usual attire.

In her hand, she was also carrying a simple travel handbag.

Yu Jiu was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized: "Ayin, are you going on a long trip?"

Luo Jiayin looked down at the travel bag she was carrying: "Hmm..."

Where are you going? Can't you take me with you?

Luo Jiayin pursed her lips, unsure how to begin the conversation with Yu Jiu.

It wasn't that she didn't want to bring Yu Jiu along, but rather that her trip to northern Myanmar was to salvage Bo Nian's reputation.
