Chapter Thirty-One: Two People Contacting Her Simultaneously
It turns out he came to attend the Bo Yukang Parents' Meeting.
No wonder Liang Yuxin had time to take Bo Yukang around today.
“No.” Sang Ruo’s tone was indifferent: “I came here for other things.”
“This is a school, and a well-off school at that. What business could you possibly have here?” Bo Jinzhou’s gaze darkened slightly. “You wouldn’t be secretly doing something behind my back, would you?”
The man reached out and grabbed her arm.
A sharp pain spread across Sang Ruo's arm, causing her to furrow her brow slightly.
"Let go."
Sang Ruo's tone was cold, and her eyes were full of chill.
"What? Does my life have to revolve solely around you and your son? Can't I have my own personal matters? Coming to Bo Yukang's school means I can only deal with his affairs?"
When Bo Jinzhou lowered his eyes, he met her shimmering gaze.
The chill in his eyes was a coldness he had never felt before.
They were more indifferent than a complete stranger...
As soon as she finished speaking, Sang Ruo used all her strength to shake off the man's arm.
Just as she was about to leave, Bo Jinzhou strode forward and blocked her way.
His voice was low and deep: "You still haven't given me an explanation for what happened to Grandpa."
Sang Ruo's steps were forced to stop.
She knew, of course, that he was referring to her medical skills.
"What's there to explain? I saved your grandfather, and instead of being grateful, you come here to question me?"
"Sang Ruo, stop pretending." Bo Jinzhou looked at him seriously: "I specifically asked the chief physician, and even the experts didn't dare to do acupuncture that day, but you dared to do it directly. What are you hiding from me?"
"It's not that I'm hiding anything; it's just that my medical skills have always been excellent, but President Bo has never really gotten to know me properly."
Sang Ruo looked at him expressionlessly.
Every time I see this face, I am reminded of the grievances she suffered and her experiences in prison.
The longer I look at it, the deeper my hatred becomes.
"Do you know someone named 'A-Yun'? Are you her disciple?"
Upon hearing this, Sang Ruo's back suddenly stiffened slightly.
Her expression remained unchanged. She raised her shimmering eyes and gazed at him intently: "What? Does President Bo also have some incurable disease and need someone to take his pulse?"
The curse that came at him was beyond Bo Jinzhou's expectations.
His brow furrowed, and he asked incredulously, "Since when have you become so sharp-tongued and sarcastic?"
Sang Ruo had no intention of wasting time with him: "I'm very busy, I don't have time to chat with you."
Bo Jinzhou was furious, and his gaze turned even colder.
After taking a couple of steps, she suddenly turned back and glared at him seriously: "If you have time, hurry up and sign the agreement."
Before he could answer, Sang Ruo strode away quickly.
A man's voice came from behind: "Making me sign now is tantamount to driving Grandpa to his death!"
Sang Ruo paused for a moment, but ultimately did not stop.
She originally thought that Bo Jinzhou didn't love her, and since she had been to prison, she would be able to get a divorce easily after she got out.
But no one ever imagined that the biggest obstacle would be Mr. Bo.
Old Master Bo treated her like his own granddaughter, so how could she dare to bring up this matter again at such a critical juncture?
In that case, we can only take it one step at a time...
When she got home, Chen Anni was carrying large bags and small packages as she entered Youfenglou.
After Sang Ruo entered the room, she saw many of her belongings.
"Sorry! I brought the things here without your permission..."
Sang Ruo glanced at Song Linlin, who was playing with building blocks in the living room, before finally fixing her gaze on Chen Anni's face: "You weren't kicked out by the landlord, were you?"
"You're amazing!" Chen Anni gave her a thumbs up: "The landlord said her son is back and asked me to vacate the house. But I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to deal with it. And since her son came back early, I had no choice but to move my things here to you first."
"Why don't you come live with us from now on!"
Sang Ruo took out slippers, her smile bright.
"Is that alright?" Chen Anni's eyes lit up with joy. "Would this bother you?"
"How could that be? Linlin and I live alone. If you move in, you can help take care of her when you have time. Once the clinic opens, it will probably be very busy."
"good."
Without a second thought, Chen Anni readily agreed.
During their meal, the two talked about what had happened that day.
"By the way, how did your signing go today?"
Sang Ruo's hand, which was picking up food, suddenly paused.
After thinking for a moment, she finally told Chen Anni everything that had happened that day.
“When I was helping you look at the house, I also looked into the location. The asking price started at 100,000…” Chen Anni’s eyes showed surprise: “Bo Jinyan’s friend, how could he rent it to you so cheaply? Even if it’s a discount for friendship and family, it shouldn’t be this low, right?”
"I don't understand it either."
Sang Ruo smiled faintly and didn't say anything more.
Chen Anni changed the subject: "Have you found a school for Linlin yet?"
Sang Ruo nodded: "It's all been found. We can report for duty tomorrow."
"Auntie Xiaoruo, Linlin doesn't want to go to school..."
At that moment, a childish voice broke the atmosphere.
Sang Ruo glanced at the child beside her, then hesitated, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.
Seeing that she didn't respond, Chen Anni asked, "Why doesn't Linlin want to go to school?"
"Linlin doesn't know anyone at school. She only wants to be with Aunt Xiaoruo and Aunt Nini..."
Song Linlin's voice sounded somewhat aggrieved.
When Sang Ruo saw the child's mouth pursed, she felt that he was about to burst into tears at any moment.
When she took Song Linlin away from the orphanage, the director gave her a heads-up, saying that because Song Linlin had suffered from her father's mistreatment for a long time, she had developed a somewhat withdrawn personality, and that if necessary, she should take the child to receive formal psychological treatment.
"Linlin, don't be afraid. The children at school are all very well-behaved. They won't bully you. If they do, just come back and tell Auntie, or you can tell the teacher..." Sang Ruo leaned down, getting closer to Song Linlin, her voice becoming even gentler: "Okay?"
Song Linlin pouted, but finally nodded: "Okay."
Sang Ruo stroked her head: "Linlin is the best girl. Auntie will take you to the amusement park another day..."
A smile finally appeared on Song Linlin's face.
Just then, Sang Ruo's phone rang.
Upon picking it up and glancing at the notes on it, his face suddenly darkened.
The person who called was Bo Jinzhou.
Without a second thought, she hung up immediately.
She didn't answer after I called her three times in a row.
When the phone rang for the fourth time, Sang Ruo almost reflexively wanted to hang up, but her gaze fell on the contact name and her body suddenly stiffened slightly.
The note above is for Bo Jinyan.
