Chapter 684 Bo Jinyan Releases Wen Qingyi
Upon hearing this, Fu Chenqing quickly stopped him: "Alright, alright, I'll call your bodyguard right now. You absolutely mustn't move. It's only been a short time since your surgery. You can't get out of bed."
"Call him right away."
Fu Chenqing called Acheng in front of Bo Jinyan. Acheng didn't believe it at first when he received the news, but he completely believed it after hearing Bo Jinyan say it himself.
Then, Acheng followed Bo Jinyan's decision, untied Wen Qingyi, and released her back to the Gong family.
When Gong Lian brought Sang Ruo back to the Gong family villa, Sang Ruo had just gotten out of the car when she was so shocked by the scene before her that she screamed, "Ah!"
As soon as Gong Lian got out of the car, he hurriedly tried to comfort her: "What's wrong?"
Before he could finish speaking, when he finally saw the person lying on the ground, all his words of comfort felt like a thorn stuck deep in his throat, rendering him unable to utter another word.
The woman he once cherished and doted on, Wen Qingyi, was covered in blood, with iron nails driven into her legs by a hammer.
The nails had mixed with the blood flowing from her wound, and because the wound hadn't been treated for a long time, some of the blood had congealed. Upon closer inspection, the flesh on her leg was even rotten and smelly, creating an unusually pungent and unpleasant odor.
Wen Qingyi was completely unconscious and on the verge of death; it seemed she didn't know whether she was alive or dead.
"Yiyi..." Gong Lian was so shocked by the scene before him that he immediately looked for the butler: "Butler!"
"Mr. Gong, what is it?"
Gong Lian pointed at the unconscious Wen Qingyi and demanded, "What exactly happened? How did Yiyi end up here?"
Didn't he give her to Bo Jinyan? Why is she now lying in front of his house covered in blood?
And no one has noticed?
"I don't know either." The butler was also unaware of these matters and was frightened by her appearance, his face turning pale: "Mr. Gong, what should we do with Miss Wen?"
Sang Ruo was so frightened that her face turned pale and she didn't dare to take a step forward.
Gong Lian's expression was somewhat grave: "Carry her inside and put her in the second bedroom. Also, go and find Dr. Chen to treat her. We'll talk about the rest once she's fully awake."
He remembered that Wen Qingyi was with Bo Jinyan. Now that he had tortured her to the point of wishing she were dead, he just threw her here.
Do they really think this place is a shelter?
"Okay, I'll take care of it right away."
The housekeeper found four people who carried Wen Qingyi inside using both hands and feet. The unpleasant and pungent smell seemed to linger in the air outside for a long time.
After Gong Lian finished dealing with Wen Qingyi, he discovered that Sang Ruo was nowhere to be found. He tentatively called out, "Sang Ruo? Sang Ruo, where are you?"
The man searched around outside and finally found Sang Ruo crouching down with her knees wrapped around her body at the back door of his car. She looked terrified.
Gong Lian also leaned down and raised his hand to comfort her, "It's alright, Sang Ruo, don't be afraid, I've already taken care of her, you don't need to be afraid anymore."
"Shouldn't we go see your uncle?" Gong Lian smiled slightly. "He's in the backyard. Come on, I'll take you there."
Sang Ruo squatted on the back door of his car and didn't move.
Gong Lian didn't urge her, but patiently and quietly stood beside her, waiting for her to recover. He would take her inside once she had recovered.
Sang Ruo squatted there for about half an hour before finally coming to her senses and standing up: "You've tormented my uncle, has he become like this too?"
Although she knew that her uncle deserved his current fate, she still harbored a deep fear of those torturous methods.
Perhaps it was because she had been treated this way in prison that she was so sensitive to these inhuman methods of torture.
"No." Gong Lian denied it quickly: "I have always strictly followed your requirements regarding your uncle's affairs, without any selfish motives."
Hearing him say that, Sang Ruo slowly felt relieved: "Then let's go."
Sang Ruo had been squatting next to the car for half an hour, and her legs were already numb. When she stood up, her legs were weak and she almost fell over.
Gong Lian reacted quickly and tried to help her, but Sang Ruo dodged him. Sang Ruo looked wary and said, "You're not allowed to touch me."
They haven't reached the point where they can hug intimately.
The only man who could hold her was Ayan.
No one else is allowed.
Gong Lian knew she was very guarded: "Alright, alright, I won't touch you. Then I'll take you to see your uncle."
After saying that, Gong Lian led Sang Ruo to the backyard of the Gong family villa. There, Sang Yuan was bound with ropes, blood was flowing from the back of his head, and his brain looked like it was congested with blood.
He kept repeating, "I was wrong, I really know I was wrong, I'll never do it again..."
His voice sounded weak, and he looked extremely tired, clearly due to prolonged torment and lack of energy.
Upon hearing footsteps, Sang Yuan instinctively opened his eyes and immediately saw Sang Ruo following Gong Lian. His eyes lit up as if he had seen a savior: "Xiao Ruo, Xiao Ruo, please save me, I really can't go on..."
But the rescue he had imagined did not come. Instead, he heard Sang Ruo say with a half-smile, "Uncle, you can ask me to save you, but you must first tell me why you did this? Why did you hurt Ayan?"
If their whole family just hated her, they could have targeted her directly. What did Ayan do wrong?
Why target him?
“I didn’t hurt him. I told you long ago that it was just an accident. I really didn’t know he was standing down there…” Although Kuwahara’s consciousness was somewhat muddled, his logic was still clear, and he had not completely lost his mind.
But his words failed to convince Sang Ruo: "Uncle, it would be better if you told me the truth. Save your words for someone else."
At least she didn't believe his rambling nonsense at all.
Seeing that he was reluctant to speak, Gong Lian gave his subordinate a wink. His subordinate quickly understood, then picked up a wooden stick and struck Sang Yuan hard on the back of the head!
The blows made Kuwahara's scalp tingle and his vision go blank. He went from muffled groans to a full-blown scream of pain as blood kept flowing down the back of his head.
The once smooth wooden stick was now stained with a lot of Kuwabara's blood, but the beatings didn't stop; instead, they intensified with each blow, causing Kuwabara to almost collapse from the pain.
