Chapter Four: An Encounter at the Hospital
What are you doing here?
A cold voice rang in his ears.
Sang Ruo looked up and saw that Bo Jinzhou and his son were accompanying Liang Yuxin to her follow-up appointment.
The three of them were very close, just like a family of three.
Liang Yuxin was somewhat surprised, and said helplessly, "Miss Sang, there's no need to be stubborn. If you want to wait for Jinzhou, there's no need to come to the hospital to block people. Why don't you just go home? It's not like we're not letting you go back... After all, you just got out of prison, and it wouldn't be good for your image..."
Was Mom here to wait for them?
Did she regret not going home with them?
A strange joy flashed through Bo Yukang's heart, but then she pouted as she thought of what Sang Ruo had said earlier.
"Mom, you're so hypocritical. You clearly can't live without me and Dad and want to come home with us, but you insist on doing this."
Bo Jinzhou frowned coldly, a hint of sarcasm flashing in his peach blossom eyes, and said, "I thought you had real backbone and refused to return to the Bo family, but it turns out you couldn't even hold out for two days before coming to beg for peace. Sang Ruo, these tricks of yours only annoy me."
Before he could finish speaking, the doctor's voice rang out.
"Miss Sang, your medicine is all here."
Sang Ruo took the medicine, gave a cool laugh, and said coldly, "I came to the hospital to get medicine, of course. As for you, you probably need to get your brains checked."
Bo Jinzhou's expression darkened slightly after being rebuked by her, and then he frowned slightly.
She got sick right after being released from prison?
Could it be that she's not having a good time in prison?
Just as Sang Ruo was about to leave, Bo Yukang suddenly pursed his lips and grabbed her with his small hand.
"My graduation ceremony is in two days. Even if you're still angry, you should come back and attend with me. After all, you are my... mother."
He spoke the last two words very softly.
She looked at Liang Yuxin with embarrassment, as if afraid that Liang Yuxin would be unhappy.
Sang Ruo didn't even glance at him.
She pulled his hand away, her tone cold: "You've mistaken my mother for someone else's. I'm not your mother."
After saying that, she turned to leave.
“Miss Sang,” Liang Yuxin suddenly called out to her, “I know you’re embarrassed to go back because you’ve been to prison. But taking care of your child is your duty as a mother. You haven’t cared for your child for the past three years. Are you planning to ignore Kang Kang now?”
Liang Yuxin's voice was not quiet.
Many people's eyes fell on Sang Ruo.
The words "imprisoned" and "ignored" have attracted a lot of attention.
The crowd was whispering among themselves.
"Hello, Ms. Liang."
A sudden voice interrupted.
Sang Ruo looked up and saw a man dressed in a police uniform suddenly walking towards Liang Yuxin.
"Someone reported to the police that two peace lions were missing from their residence. Those two peace lions appeared in your residence during a program. Please cooperate with us to come here."
The crowd gasped in disbelief.
Actress Liang can actually steal things?
Immediately, the scene erupted in discussion, with some people pulling out their phones and flashing their lights wildly.
After her initial shock, Liang Yuxin's face flushed red.
Before she could explain, Sang Ruo coughed, a cold expression appearing on her pale face.
She looked at Bo Yukang.
“He is nine years old this year, and it is his right to choose who he wants to be his mother. And I also have the right not to be his mother.”
The law only stipulates child support.
But it did not require her, as a mother, to love him.
Sang Ruo then looked at Liang Yuxin: "As for Miss Liang... those two peace lions are my personal property, and my nominal husband has no right to dispose of them. If Miss Liang cannot return them, she will soon understand what it is like to go to jail."
Bo Jinzhou, however, gripped her wrist, his peach blossom eyes turning cold.
Looking at her face, he was momentarily dazed.
The woman's wrist in his palm was too slender and too hot.
She has a fever.
He quickly lowered his eyes, his voice icy, and tightened his grip on her wrist: "Have you made enough trouble yet? What else do you have that isn't part of the Bo family? Those two peace lions were given to Yuxin with my consent!"
“Exactly!” Bo Yukang exclaimed, “If it weren’t for my great-grandfather and Aunt Yuxin making me understand you, I wouldn’t want such a vicious woman like you to be my mother!”
He even refused to attend his graduation ceremony!
Bo Yukang's dissatisfaction intensified, yet he also felt a vague unease.
If it were his mother from before, she would never have been so cold to him; she would have tried her best to please him and get him to attend the graduation ceremony.
Mom is like a completely different person!
Sang Ruo listened to the two men's questions and felt only numbness and amusement.
Perhaps, in their eyes, her three years of hellish suffering were insignificant compared to the injuries Liang Yuxin endured.
Because of the high fever, Sang Ruo was somewhat disoriented and could barely stand.
She simply shook off Bo Jinzhou's hand, looked at him, and suddenly laughed: "You're quite disgusting. Mr. Bo talks so casually, why don't you go find a jail to sit in?"
Her words were almost harsh, a stark contrast to three years ago.
Bo Jinzhou was almost stunned.
Leave the hospital.
Sang Ruo simply wiped her hand that Bo Jinzhou had touched, and only one thought flashed through her mind.
She wants to get a divorce as soon as possible.
Every second she spent entangled with Bo Jinzhou was endless torture for her.
Liang Yuxin's matter kept us up all night.
Sang Ruo went to sleep after taking her medicine.
When she groggily woke up, she saw Chen Anni, who had returned home looking travel-worn.
Chen Anni looked helpless: "You just got out of prison, how come you had such a high fever? I just got back, and you almost had a fever of 40 degrees Celsius. Luckily, the fever has subsided now."
Chen Anni brought her water and medicine: "If there's anything I can help you with, just let me know."
Sang Ruo did not want to reveal the devastation her time in prison had caused her.
Seeing Chen Anni, who looked exactly the same as she had three years ago, she finally felt a little warmer in her heart.
My husband and son are unreliable.
Friends, yet still reliable.
She took the medicine, then lowered her eyes and said, "Help me draft a divorce agreement. Also, help me find someone."
