Chapter 82 Questioning the Origin of the Car
Just then, a familiar voice suddenly reached her ears.
Hearing the sound, Sang Ruo turned her head and saw Chen Wuye had come up behind her at some point, looking curiously at the car at the door, and then glancing back at Sang Ruo.
Sang Ruo said calmly, "I suppose so!"
"Your ex-husband's brother-in-law is amazing! He's treating you so well, even better than your husband. People who don't know the situation would think he really is your husband..."
Sang Ruo turned her head and glared at him: "Don't talk nonsense."
"I'm just telling the truth!" Chen Wuye said with a smile, scratching her head. "She's definitely better than my ex-husband."
Sang Ruo ignored him and quickly walked to the examination table.
In the evening, Sang Ruo received a call from Bo Jinzhou, who said that his child had a high fever and had not improved after two days of medication, and asked Sang Ruo to come and take a look.
After all, it was her own child, whom she had carried for ten months and given birth to; she couldn't bear to just sit idly by.
A torrential downpour started in the evening, making it difficult to hail a taxi. Sang Ruo had no choice but to drive Bo Jinyan's car to Qinglan Garden.
Upon arriving at Qinglan Garden, Sang Ruo parked the car at the entrance to avoid arousing Bo Jinzhou's suspicion.
Little did she know that the man standing by the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor had already seen her get out of the driver's seat.
She walked into the rain, holding a black umbrella and carrying a first-aid kit.
After entering the house, I put away my umbrella and strode up to the second floor.
At the spiral staircase, I spotted a familiar figure.
Bo Jinzhou frowned slightly, looking down at her condescendingly: "Was that car a gift from your lover?"
Sang Ruo's steps involuntarily paused for a moment.
I really didn't expect that he would still see it.
You're overthinking it.
Sang Ruo's reaction had already caught the man's eye. Although she tried her best to deny it, her pause still caused the man in front of her to misunderstand.
As Sang Ruo walked up and passed by her, the man's face was extremely gloomy.
Bo Jinzhou reached out and grabbed her wrist, which was holding the medicine box.
"The three million I gave you, you probably already invested in your clinic. Given the current size of your clinic, it must have cost at least two and a half million, right? That car is worth around one and a half million on the market, and you still say it wasn't a gift from a man?"
One and a half million?
Sang Ruo's back stiffened instantly.
She didn't know much about the car's price and thought it was only around 800,000.
Bo Jinyan, however, only accepted 200,000 from her.
The main problem is that the 200,000 hasn't been transferred yet.
"Think what you want, I'm going to see the kids now."
"It seems that Mrs. Bo's new lover is also a wealthy man! He's even more generous than me. No wonder he's in such a hurry to divorce me."
She had only taken two steps when Bo Jinzhou's voice suddenly came from behind her.
Upon hearing the sound, Sang Ruo stopped, but did not turn around, and continued walking towards the child's room.
He will investigate this matter sooner or later, and he will find out the truth sooner or later.
There's no point in saying more.
She didn't want to argue with him.
Seeing that Sang Ruo ignored him, Bo Jinzhou's expression became even colder.
The torrential rain outside continues.
Sang Ruo placed the medicine kit by the bedside and took the child's pulse.
Bo Jinzhou leaned against the door, glancing at her back without saying a word.
The child was fast asleep, and looked much more haggard.
"How about it?"
Bo Jinzhou walked over, looked down at her, and spoke in a deep voice.
“It’s just a fever from an external infection. I guess the sudden change in weather these past few days caused the high fever.” Sang Ru put the child’s hand back inside the blanket. “I just happened to have some Chinese medicine with me, but I only have one dose. I’ll brew it for him tonight, and I’ll have Chen Wuye bring some more tomorrow.”
Sang Ruo took the medicine out of the medicine box and handed it to him.
The man frowned at her: "What are you giving me?"
"What would I give you?" Sang Ruo's face turned cold. "Of course, I'd have you take it down and brew medicine for Auntie!"
“Auntie doesn’t know how to make these things, and neither do I.” Bo Jinzhou pushed the medicine back to her: “You should make it for the child yourself! Anyway, it’s raining so hard outside, and you can’t go back for the time being. If it’s really necessary, you can stay here tonight. He is also your son, and it is your responsibility to take good care of him.”
Sang Ruo's hand paused slightly.
She wanted to argue, but what the other person said made sense, and she had no reason to refuse.
Sang Ruo took the Chinese medicine and went straight to the kitchen. After calling the nanny away, she brewed the medicine for the child by herself.
Midway through, footsteps suddenly came from outside the door.
She glanced back and saw that Bo Jinzhou was already standing at the kitchen doorway.
Are you sure you don't want to give me an explanation?
A man's extremely deep voice came from behind.
Sang Ruo turned around at the sound of his voice, glancing at him indifferently: "What's there to explain?"
Bo Jinzhou approached quickly, exuding a chilling aura: "Who exactly is that man?"
Sang Ruo turned her head and glanced at him, saying expressionlessly, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"You slept with him just a few days ago, and he sent you a car a few days later. You're really something!" Bo Jinzhou's forehead veins bulged. "Stop playing dumb. Who is he?"
“If you’re really curious, why don’t you look it up yourself!” Sang Ruo’s voice was extremely cold: “Don’t delay me from making medicine for the child.”
Bo Jinzhou suddenly reached out and dragged her away, then pressed her against the kitchen sliding door.
The man pressed one hand against her throat and the other against her wrist, pinning it to the glass.
The soup spoon in Sang Ruo's hand fell to the ground in an instant.
What's wrong with you?
Her eyes were extremely gloomy as she looked up at Bo Jinzhou in front of her with a fierce gaze.
"Boom—"
A thunderclap ripped across the sky.
The piercing sound permeated every corner.
"We haven't even gotten a divorce certificate yet, and you dared to cheat on me, framing me with such a huge accusation. I've tried everything to find out the truth, but so far, I haven't been able to find anything. Looks like you've hooked up with a big shot..."
"Are you sick? Don't talk nonsense if you don't know the truth!"
"Then tell me, what's the truth?" Bo Jinzhou grabbed her chin in an instant: "I only believe what I see. You're having an affair with someone else!"
"So, is your relationship with Liang Yuxin really that clean? Don't think I don't know how many shady things you've done behind my back!" Sang Ruo's voice rose slightly: "I only have one request now: sign the divorce papers immediately!"
"So, after the divorce, you can let yourself be with that other man, right?"
“No.” Sang Ruo suddenly gave a cold laugh: “It is I who want to grant your wish.”
Her tone was particularly cold and indifferent, and her voice was extremely deep.
Sang Ruo glared at him, her voice rising an octave.
"Don't get off topic, I'm talking to you about that other guy!"
Sang Ruo's chest heaved up and down: "Let me go!"
Bo Jinzhou's face darkened considerably: "Tell me! Who exactly is the man who delivered the car to you?"
Just then, a deep voice broke the tense atmosphere: "It's me."
