Chapter Thirty-Two: Angels in White
Sang Ruo's hand holding the phone suddenly paused slightly.
This was the first time Bo Jinyan had taken the initiative to call her.
They wouldn't call her repeatedly unless there was something important to say.
After hesitating for a moment, Sang Ruo pressed the answer button: "Mr. Bo..."
"The old man is having difficulty breathing again. Would it be convenient for him to come over?"
Without a second thought, Sang Ruo quickly stood up from her chair: "Okay, I'll be right there."
After hanging up the phone, she quickly walked to the cabinet, took out acupuncture and cupping sets, and headed straight for the door.
As he walked, he told Chen Anni, "I have to go out urgently and I may not be back tonight. I'm leaving Linlin in your care."
"What happened?" Chen Anni quickly caught up, her brows furrowed with curiosity. "Has Old Master Bo encountered another emergency?"
"Yes." Sang Ruo glanced back at her. "I'm leaving now."
"Okay, be careful on the road."
After the door closed, Sang Ruo's figure was cut off, as was Chen Anni's voice.
When Sang Ruo arrived at the old house by taxi, it was already eight o'clock in the evening.
The entire manor was brightly lit, and everyone was waiting for her arrival.
"Miss Sang, you've finally arrived."
When the housekeeper saw Sang Ruo carrying a medicine box, he rushed in and quickly went to greet her.
How is Grandpa doing now?
Sang Ruo followed him inside, her voice low and unusually calm.
“He started having trouble breathing after dinner. We were planning to take him to the hospital, but Grandpa Bo said it would be too much of a hassle and insisted that you come.”
Sang Ruo nodded but didn't reply.
As I walked through the corridor and into the living room, I saw Bo Jinzhou and Chen Fangyue sitting on the sofa, their expressions extremely solemn.
Upon seeing Sang Ruo enter, Bo Jinzhou quickly came to greet her, his eyes catching the resentment in them.
Led by the butler, Sang Ruo arrived at Old Master Bo's room.
That tall, slender figure instantly came into her view.
Bo Jinyan stayed by the bedside, placing his hand on Old Master Bo's chest and gently patting him to help him breathe.
Upon seeing Sang Ruo arrive, he quickly stood up and nodded to her.
Sang Ruo sat by the window and began to check the specific situation for Old Master Bo.
The man beside her kept watching her.
This scene had already been observed by Bo Jinzhou behind him.
He called Sang Ruo today, but she didn't answer any of his calls.
And Bo Jinyan summoned her with just one phone call...
When did the two of them become so close?
"Leave one person behind to help me support Grandpa, and the rest of you leave."
Sang Ruo spoke softly, her face completely calm.
Bo Jinzhou quickly stepped forward: "I'll stay and help you."
But before she could get close to the bed, the man beside her blocked her way.
Bo Jinyan's voice was extremely deep: "You go out, I'll stay."
His tone was indifferent, yet carried an undeniable air of authority, reaching everyone's ears.
"Uncle, Sang Ruo and I are husband and wife after all. It's most appropriate for me to stay and cooperate with her..."
"Jinzhou, come out quickly."
Before Bo Jinzhou could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a voice.
Sang Ruo looked up upon hearing the sound and saw that Chen Fangyue had entered the room at some point and immediately dragged Bo Jinzhou out.
The butler, who had been standing by, quickly left the scene and closed the door after seeing the extremely low pressure emanating from Bo Jinyan.
Now, only the three of them remained in the room.
How can I cooperate with you?
"I need to use cupping on my grandfather's back to release some of the blood. Mr. Bo, could you please help me support him?"
Old Master Bo's eyes were unfocused; the situation was not good.
Bo Jinyan quickly stepped forward, helped his father up from the bed, deftly tore open the old man's clothes to reveal his broad back, and then placed his hands on either side of his shoulders.
Sang Ruo quickly took out acupuncture and cupping equipment and began to treat him with practiced ease.
As Sang Ruo was applying the cupping therapy, her fair and slender arm gently touched the man's hand, which was placed on her right side.
Skin to skin, a faint warmth spread through Bo Jinyan's body.
But she was so focused that she didn't notice this detail at all.
Bo Jinyan's gaze fell on her beautiful profile.
A strand of hair slipped from her temple; she gently brushed it aside with her hand and continued making the third cupping jar for Old Master Bo.
This was the first time Bo Jinyan had witnessed her treating a patient.
I could only think of four words.
Angels in white.
He didn't know much about traditional Chinese medicine, but he had seen other doctors perform acupuncture and cupping, and her technique was clearly much more professional than the doctors he had seen before.
She can locate acupoints with remarkable accuracy without even needing to touch the patient's body with her fingertips.
Then, the needle was inserted.
Then came a ten-minute wait.
Neither of them spoke; they simply observed Old Master Bo's physical condition in silence.
Only when the blood flowed down her back and into the cupping jar did Sang Ruo slowly breathe a sigh of relief.
Old Master Bo's consciousness gradually cleared, and his breathing became much calmer than before.
After taking care of everything, Bo Jinyan stood by the hospital bed and glanced down at his watch.
The treatment process took no more than fifteen minutes.
Looking across the entire capital, there are truly very few people with such abilities...
"Grandpa, are you feeling much better?"
"I'm much better now, my breathing is much easier." Old Master Bo looked at Sang Ruo with a smile: "Thanks to you tonight, Xiao Ruo..."
"Grandpa, this is all I should do. Don't worry too much. Get some rest tonight. I'll stay and watch over you."
"good."
When Sang Ruo and Bo Jinyan came out of the room together, Bo Jinzhou was standing by the corridor smoking.
Upon seeing Sang Ruo emerge, Bo Jinzhou quickly stubbed out his cigarette and walked towards her.
Bo Jinzhou didn't even stop walking. He grabbed Sang Ruo's wrist and quickly went downstairs: "Come with me. I have a few words to talk to you about."
"What are you doing? Let me go!"
Sang Ruo struggled, but still couldn't break free from his grasp.
Bo Jinyan walked to the stair railing, placed his hand on the mahogany railing, and watched as Bo Jinzhou led Sang Ruo into the room.
"Bang--"
The loud slam of the door was deafening.
The man's brow furrowed slightly, and his hand resting on the railing clenched involuntarily, his knuckles turning slightly white.
After hesitating for a moment, he finally took a step and went downstairs...
Inside the room at this moment.
Bo Jinzhou shoved Sang Ruo onto the bed and looked down at her, saying, "Sang Ruo, what do you mean by this? You rejected several of my calls, but you came as soon as your uncle called! Are you deliberately trying to embarrass me?"
"I didn't know Grandpa was unwell. Who knew you would call me so suddenly? Is that...?"
The man interrupted her: "Do you think I'm so bored that I'd call you for no reason?"
