Chapter 668 Unpredictable Weather

Chapter 668 Unpredictable Weather

At least, this way he can continue to deceive himself.

Sang Ruo didn't know what he was thinking, but this sentence made her even more certain that he had something on his mind: "Ayan, you're not thinking like that. If you don't say anything, how am I supposed to know what you're thinking? Sometimes running away doesn't solve anything."

Facing problems directly and then working together to solve them is the foundation for a couple to continue their relationship.

Otherwise, if one party runs away, it will inevitably hurt the other.

She didn't want them to end up in that situation.

"Solve the problem?" Upon noticing this word, Bo Jinyan was suddenly amused by her: "Then let me ask you, you promised to help me find the best ophthalmologist in the entire capital, right? Have you found one yet? I've been waiting for almost a week, and I still haven't seen anyone."

Does she know how devastating it was for him to lose his sight?

He felt like a useless person who could only throw tantrums and couldn't do anything, and sometimes he needed her help to get things done.

As a result, his mood became increasingly gloomy and irritable. Sometimes his temper would flare up so quickly that even he couldn't control it.

How ridiculous!

Bo Jinyan, who used to be cold and indifferent, has now become a useless person who can't even control his own emotions!

Sang Ruo lowered her eyes and patiently explained to him, "Ayan, I really did look for you, but you have to know that this is the place with the best medical conditions in the country, and also the place with the most patients. I have already contacted an ophthalmologist for you, but he is not available at the moment."

It's not that she didn't want to go; she really did go.

However, those renowned ophthalmologists were not as easy to schedule appointments with as she had imagined. Every time she urged them to do so, they would use being busy as an excuse to stop their conversation from continuing.

What could she possibly do?

This was also the first time she realized that having money alone was not enough to do whatever she wanted in this land; the most important thing was to have power and influence, and all three were indispensable.

Just like her now, she has money, but that's all she has; she can't afford the doctor she wants.

That's embarrassing.

"Do you think I'd believe you?" Bo Jinyan didn't believe her words, thinking she was making excuses for her actions: "Xiao Ruo, if you don't want to look, you don't have to. Sometimes it's better not to see than to see."

At least out of sight, out of mind, and saves a lot of trouble.

The more Sang Ruo listened, the more she felt he was being sarcastic: "Ayan, what exactly happened? Why do you seem like a completely different person after I peeled an apple for you? Why are you so aggressive? Did I do something wrong to offend you?"

If that's really the case, he could have just told her directly.

There's absolutely no need to torture yourself with this sarcastic and unpleasant behavior.

"No, you're overthinking it." Bo Jinyan lowered his eyes, subconsciously trying to cover up his feelings. "I'm just a little upset because I can't see."

But only he knew that what truly troubled him was her affair with another man.

Why has she been meeting with that man so frequently lately? What exactly is their relationship?

This problem, like a knot in his heart, tightly wrapped around him, suffocating him to the point where he could hardly breathe.

That's what he said, but Sang Ruo vaguely sensed that he wasn't telling her the truth: "If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But Ayan, if anything happens to you, you must tell me right away. I will always be by your side."

She will never leave him.

forever.

"You can leave now." He just wanted to be alone.

He didn't want to bring his negative emotions to her, nor did he want to ruin his image in her eyes. He was afraid that his negative emotions would destroy the hard-won relationship between them.

If such a man truly existed, he wouldn't give that person a chance to take advantage of him.

Seeing that he was in a bad mood, Sang Ruo didn't want to bother him too much. After leaving, she repeatedly urged the ophthalmologist to come as soon as possible.

But every message she sent seemed to sink without a trace, and no one paid any attention to her.

Just as Sang Ruo was busy finding an ophthalmologist, a phone call interrupted her thoughts. Without even looking at the caller ID, she answered, "Hello, who is this?"

"Sang Ruo, it's me, Gong Lian." Gong Lian directly revealed his identity: "I've already made reservations at the restaurant. Should I come pick you up, or will you come here yourself?"

Sang Ruo looked around, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Send me your location, and I'll go there myself."

"good."

After hanging up the phone, Sang Ruo quickly received a text message from Gong Lian, and she used the location in the text message to hail a taxi.

Before the taxi arrived, she made a phone call to Aunt Feng: "Hello, Aunt Feng? I have something to do tonight and can't accompany Ayan. Could you make some nourishing food and send it to Ayan? He hasn't had much of an appetite lately."

"Yes, madam, I'll do it right away."

Sang Ruo was still worried and instructed her, "You must make sure he eats it. Don't let it spill, understand?"

"I see."

Sang Ruo hung up the phone, and the taxi was already in front of her. She got in, gave the last digits of the license plate, and arrived at the restaurant half an hour later.

After she paid and got out of the car, someone asked her as soon as she entered the restaurant, "Hello, do you have a reservation?"

“Yes, my surname is Gong.” Sang Ruo gave Gong Lian’s surname directly. Then the waiter led her to a private room and opened the door for her. She saw Gong Lian sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window, carefully sipping Biluochun tea.

Sang Ruo sat down opposite him, and the waiter handed her a tablet computer so she could order.

She ordered a few of her favorite dishes and then handed the menu to Gong Lian.

Gong Lian added a few more appetizers to her order, then quickly handed the tablet back to the waiter, who then left the private room.

The entire private room was now empty except for the two of them; it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Sang Ruo wasn't the type to initiate conversations. She rested her chin on her hand, quietly watching the cityscape outside the floor-to-ceiling window without saying a word.

"Sang Ruo, it seems we really don't have much in common, to the point that you don't even know what to say."

Gong Lian looked at her silent face and couldn't help but sigh.

Sang Ruo chuckled lightly and said calmly, "After all, we're not even friends, so isn't it normal that we don't have anything in common?"

They've at best turned enemies into friends, not true friends, so where do they get so much in common?

That's hilarious.

"Sang Ruo, can't you forgive me even now?"
