Chapter 817 Bo Yukang Visits the Prison
"Madam, young master, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."
Bo Yukang glanced at the lawyer, then at Sang Ruo, and asked in a low voice, "Mom, can we go see Dad now?"
“Yes.” Sang Ruo squatted down, keeping her gaze at his level: “Xiao Kang, are you going with Mom’s car, or are you going with the lawyer first?”
Bo Yukang hugged her tightly: "I want to go with Mom."
"Uncle Jiang, thank you for your trouble." Sang Ruo straightened up and said to Uncle Jiang.
"Madam, this way please."
Uncle Jiang had already prepared the car and thoughtfully opened the car door for them. Sang Ruo led Bo Yukang into the car, the lawyer's car was in front, and the black Maybach followed behind.
Half an hour later, the two vehicles arrived at the Dongcheng District Men's Prison.
Uncle Jiang was the first to get out of the car. He opened the car door for them, and after Sang Ruo got out of the car with Bo Yukang, she handed Bo Yukang over to the lawyer.
Bo Yukang, still somewhat dazed, let his mother place his hand in the lawyer's: "Mom, aren't you coming with me to see Dad?"
"Xiaokang, Mom won't go in. Just follow the lawyer uncle and don't get lost, okay?" Sang Ruo squatted down to tell him, "Mom will wait for you outside."
This was an agreement between her and Bo Jinyan; she could only send Xiao Kang in, but could not accompany him to visit Bo Jinzhou.
After all, Xiaokang missed his father.
As a mother, she couldn't ignore her child's needs, but she also had to take care of Bo Jinyan's feelings and not let him misunderstand.
Upon hearing this, Bo Yukang immediately became unwilling: "Mom, didn't we agree to go see Dad together? Why won't you come with me to see Dad? Can't you forgive Dad yet?"
He knew a little about the things between his mother and father, and that his father had made an unforgivable mistake, but he still hoped that his mother could forgive his father.
“Xiaokang, some things really can’t be forgiven just by saying ‘forgive’.” Sang Ruo knew he was precocious, but given his age, there were some things she couldn’t say too bluntly: “When you grow up, you’ll understand why your mother treated your father this way.”
She could never forgive Bo Jinzhou.
Even though he has now repented, the mistakes he made in the past are too numerous to be forgiven.
Bo Yukang was completely bewildered and could only nod slightly: "Okay."
"Uncle Lawyer, please take me inside."
Let's go.
The lawyer led Bo Yukang inside, while Sang Ruo waited for them to return in the car.
Perhaps because she hadn't gone in to visit him in prison, Bo Yukang came out ten minutes later and ran to her car: "Mom, Dad wants to see you. Can you come in with me and see him for a moment?"
“Xiaokang, didn’t Mom already say she’s not going in?” Sang Ruo’s attitude remained unchanged: “Did your father ask you to come out and deliver a message to me?”
Bo Yukang didn't speak, but the uneasy look in his eyes said it all.
It was Bo Jinzhou who sent him out to deliver a message.
Sang Ruo couldn't blame the child, so she called her lawyer and asked him to pass on a message: "Hello, Lawyer Wang? Please pass on a message to Bo Jinzhou: Xiao Kang is my child now. Tell him to start anew in there and not to do anything that could be misunderstood. Otherwise, I don't mind making sure he never sees his son again in his life!"
“Okay.” Attorney Wang had never seen Sang Ruo so angry before, and he repeated her words to him verbatim.
Upon hearing this, Bo Jinzhou couldn't help but sneer: "It seems she truly hates me to the core; she's even using our son to threaten me..."
"Does she really not want to see me?"
Even Xiao Kang came to visit her in prison, but she couldn't even be bothered to come in and look at him!
Even though he has done many wrong things in the past, and even almost ruined their child, he has now realized his mistakes. Can't we be lenient and forgive him just this once?
Attorney Wang was speechless for a moment.
He declined to comment on their affairs, but seeing his pained expression, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy: "Mr. Bo, I'm just a messenger. Some things are better left unresolved until you come out. Don't make things difficult for us outsiders."
He didn't want to get involved in their affairs; he was just a gofer and errand boy.
What does their business have to do with him?
Inside a Maybach at the entrance of the Dongcheng District Men's Prison.
With a lollipop in his mouth, Bo Yukang asked, "Mom, is it because of your great-uncle that you don't want to see Dad?"
He knew that his mother had married his uncle, but his uncle was not his biological father. Even though his uncle had been supporting him, he still had to be mindful of his uncle's feelings.
When he lived with his father before, he had never experienced this kind of life where he had to be subservient to others.
He was truly feeling quite uncomfortable now that he was living under someone else's roof.
“Yes.” Sang Ruo admitted without hesitation: “Xiao Kang, you should also know that your mother has married your uncle. Now, your mother can’t only think about herself and you when she does things. She also has to consider your uncle’s feelings. Just because Bo Jinzhou is your father, you can’t cover up the mistakes he made in the past.”
"Xiaokang, don't let your kindness become a knife your father uses to manipulate you, okay?"
Back then, Bo Jinzhou almost imprisoned her because he took advantage of Xiaokang.
She must not repeat the same mistake.
Now that she and Ayan have finally achieved a peaceful life, how could she let Bo Jinzhou ruin it all?
Bo Yukang said timidly, "But, Dad is so pitiful..."
There is no freedom at all.
“His misery is entirely of his own making.” Sang Ruo showed him no sympathy whatsoever: “He deserves what he has today.”
Upon hearing this, Bo Yukang dared not speak up for his father anymore.
It seems that Mom will never forgive Dad.
Even for him, I couldn't do it.
After visiting Bo Jinzhou, Sang Ruocai took Bo Yukang back to Qinyuan Bay, while Attorney Wang went back to his law firm to continue working.
When Sang Ruo brought Bo Yukang back to Qinyuan Bay, Bo Jinyan had just come downstairs. His expression was still not good, and his tone was sarcastic: "You're back from visiting the prison so soon?"
He thought they wouldn't be back for at least two hours.
“Hmm.” Sang Ruo’s expression turned cold as she thought of the unpleasantness between the two of them: “After all, it was just a prison visit, not a reunion. After Xiao Kang finished his visit, I brought him back.”
Bo Jinyan came downstairs, saying as he went, "Xiao Ruo, don't be angry with me because of him. You know, he's the last person I want to mention."
