Chapter 52 Patient Shock
When Sang Ruo arrived home, it was already very late at night.
She took out her phone and glanced at the screen; it was already nine o'clock at night.
My gaze inadvertently drifted to the secondary card, where it was still set to flight mode.
Since turning off her phone in front of Zhang Ye that day, she has never turned it back on. Most importantly, she has been focusing on medical treatment recently and has paid little attention to jade.
She wondered if Bo Jinyan had called her again in the past few days.
Sang Ruo pondered for a moment, then walked towards the door.
She gently tapped the secondary card with her fingertip, and just as she was about to cancel airplane mode, a deep voice came from the doorway: "Don't watch where you're going, or you'll fall."
When the familiar voice rang out, Sang Ruo almost instinctively raised her head.
Because of her nervousness, she had already turned on airplane mode, but she quickly put down her phone and turned off the screen.
The man, dressed in a suit, leaned against a stone pillar in front of the Youfeng Tower, a cigarette between his fingers. As he exhaled smoke, a rare gentleness appeared on his handsome face.
"Mr. Bo, what brings you here so suddenly?"
Bo Jinyan flicked the cigarette between his fingers, then stubbed it out: "I came to see the child, but I didn't expect you to still be here. It's so late, she's probably asleep by now."
“You should have told me before you came so my friend could show you in. But Linlin is probably already asleep. I told her to go to bed around 8:40 every day…”
"Friends?" Bo Jinyan frowned slightly. "Your friends live here too?"
“Yes, my best friend lives with me and takes care of Linlin.” Sang Ruo said calmly, “She called me last time, and you two met at the hospital…”
Bo Jinyan nodded thoughtfully, without replying.
Seeing the two of them standing at the door, Sang Ruo felt something was off, so she asked, "Mr. Bo, would you like to come in for a cup of tea?"
"No need, I'm about to head back anyway."
"Okay, then be careful on your way."
The man nodded slightly and watched her go inside.
After taking a couple of steps, the man's voice came from behind again: "How was the opening today?"
Sang Ruo suddenly stopped walking: "Everything went smoothly, but speaking of which, I suddenly remembered that the flower baskets you sent were very beautiful, I liked them very much, thank you Mr. Bo..."
"I didn't give it to you; my friend gave it to me."
The man's voice was deep, and his face showed little expression.
Sang Ruo smiled faintly: "I've never met the homeowner before, so how could he possibly send me a flower basket? Anyway, whoever sent it, thank you."
Bo Jinyan said with a half-smile, "You're welcome."
Sang Ruo smiled gently, her smile particularly radiant and dazzling under the dim streetlights.
For a fleeting moment, the man in front of her seemed to be dazed.
As Sang Ruo was about to go in, Bo Jinyan spoke again: "If the clinic needs any help, you can contact me, or you can contact Zhang Ye."
Sang Ruo's back suddenly stiffened slightly.
The implication is that they want to support her.
A feeling of being flattered suddenly welled up in my heart.
Sang Ruo smiled and replied, "Okay."
The man glanced at her indifferently, then got into the car.
Sang Ruo only looked away when the taillights disappeared from sight.
On the second day of opening, there were twice as many customers as on the first day. Sang Ruo was extremely busy, and Chen Wuye was so busy picking up medicine that his hands were sore.
The two didn't finish work until 10 p.m.
Sang Ruo specially bought him a late-night snack to take home for him to eat.
Chen Wuye was so moved that he kept praising Sang Ruoren, and also scolded Bo Jinzhou for being blind to talent.
Sang Ruo couldn't stop laughing when she heard this.
On the third day after the clinic opened, Sang Ruo arrived at the clinic early, and Chen Wuye arrived even earlier and had already started receiving patients.
As Sang Ruo changed into her white coat and came out, a sharp scream suddenly came from the doorway.
"Everyone, please don't come to this clinic anymore! All the doctors here are quacks! Look what they did to my son! He went into shock from an allergic reaction!"
At this moment, there were already seven or eight patients queuing up at the clinic.
Upon hearing the sound, everyone looked towards the doorway.
Sang Ruo and Chen Wuye also looked up when they heard the sound.
An elderly woman walked in with four people, who were carrying a middle-aged man.
Sang Ruo recognized the person at a glance.
It was on the very first day of business that the patient with the allergic reaction arrived.
If Sang Ruomei remembered it wrong, his name seemed to be Zhang Qi.
Before Sang Ruo could speak, Chen Wuye stepped forward and said, "Grandma, please don't talk nonsense. We are all very professional TCM doctors. How could we be quacks?"
“Then look at my son. He had an allergy treatment here the day before yesterday. After taking medicine for three days, he just fainted.”
"I only have one son. What am I supposed to do if something really happens to him?"
The old woman was short, and her black dress made her look even thinner.
Those constantly darting eyes made Sang Ruo frown slightly.
This is such a blatant performance!
After the men put Zhang Qi down, they all looked at Sang Ruo and Chen Wuye with anger on their faces.
Sang Ruo quickly stepped forward, squatted down, and checked Zhang Qi's physical condition.
The allergic reaction was very severe, much worse than when I arrived at the scene that day.
“He didn’t faint, he went into shock.” Sang Ruo looked at the old woman with a serious expression: “Did he not follow the doctor’s advice and eat seafood or something like that? Didn’t I tell him not to eat those things?”
“My son hasn’t eaten seafood for the past few days. His diet has been very bland. Apart from the white porridge I make, he’s almost exclusively taken the Chinese medicine you gave him. There must be something wrong with the ingredients in your Chinese medicine!”
The old woman insisted that it was Sang Ruo and her group's fault, her eyes filled with a fierce look.
Chen Wuye chimed in, "This is clearly caused by eating seafood!"
"I said I didn't! You quacks! You just won't believe me!"
"I'm calling the police, I'm going to sue you!"
The old woman started throwing a tantrum, cursing and swearing, and then tried to take out her phone.
"Oh my god! Could it be that their medical skills are really that bad?!"
"But I feel that the medicine they prescribed is quite good; I've taken it several times without any problems!"
"Is it possible that there's just no reaction yet?"
"Don't scare me! My heart can't take it."
...
The whispers of the other patients suddenly reached Sang Ruo's ears.
When she looked up, she inadvertently met a pair of familiar eyes.
That's Chen Anni's aunt.
I am standing in the crowd right now, watching this scene unfold.
Sang Ruo said solemnly, "The patient's condition is critical and he must be treated immediately. Otherwise, if he continues to be in shock, his life will be in danger!"
