Chapter 141 The Same Room
Bo Jin reached out and opened the door to the room, then led her inside.
After regaining her senses, Sang Ruo suddenly stopped walking.
He turned around curiously, glancing at her with a puzzled look: "What's wrong?"
"Mr. Bo, it's really not appropriate for us to sleep together. Please don't make things difficult for me, okay?"
She subconsciously took a few steps back, and Bo Jinyan's hand suddenly missed its target.
The man's brow furrowed slightly: "Miss Sang, what do you mean by this? What do you mean I'm making things difficult for you?"
"I'm not divorced yet, I can't sleep with you..."
Actually, it's not that she doesn't want to, but that she can't get over that mental hurdle.
Because of what happened tonight, she is still unsure whether the person he loves is Fang Jiayu.
Moreover, she and Bo Jinzhou haven't registered their marriage yet, so it's inappropriate no matter how you look at it.
"Have you lost your memory? Have you forgotten that something already happened between us..."
relation.
Before the man could even utter those two words, she interrupted him: "Mr. Bo, I was drunk last time, which is why that happened. But I am sober now, and I ask that you respect my decision."
After her voice fell silent, Sang Ruo quickly turned around, intending to walk back into the room she had just been in.
But her wrist was grabbed by the man beside her.
Then, a deep voice sounded in my ear: "We can't sleep together, but we can at least share a room, right?"
Sang Ruo subconsciously turned around and looked at the man behind her. In the depths of his eyes, she saw a restrained aura.
She looked around, somewhat confused, then said softly, "There's only one bed in the room. How are the two of us going to sleep?"
Bo Jinyan released his hand and then pointed towards the sofa.
Sang Ruo couldn't help but frown: "You're not planning to make me sleep on the sofa, are you?"
The man paused for a moment, then said, "Am I some kind of jerk? How could I bear to let a girl like you sleep on the sofa?"
Bo Jinyan walked straight to the sofa and sat down: "I mean I'll sleep on the sofa tonight, you can sleep in the bed."
"Mr. Bo, there's really no need for this! There are plenty of rooms nearby..."
Bo Jinyan interrupted her without hesitation: "There are many rooms nearby, but I want to be closer to you."
Before she could answer, he quickly got up and headed towards the restroom.
Sang Ruo glanced at the man's departing figure, her mind replaying the words he had just spoken.
The more closely you examine it, the more ambiguous it feels.
Why did I detect a deep sense of affection in my voice?
Soon after, she heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom; he must be taking a shower.
Sang Ruo suddenly felt a bit stuffy indoors, so she quickly went to the balcony and leaned back in a chair to get some fresh air.
There is a large lounge chair on the balcony, made of soft material, which is extremely comfortable to lean on.
She was indeed a little tired today. She had only planned to look at the scenery, but before she knew it, she had fallen into a deep sleep.
Half an hour later.
"Clatter—"
When Bo Jinyan came out wearing a bathrobe, his gaze subconsciously fell on the bed, but he did not see Sang Ruo.
My first thought was, "Has she left?"
A sense of loss suddenly washed over me.
It was this sense of loss that made him subconsciously look around, and when he saw the figure lying on the balcony, the corners of his lips couldn't help but turn up slightly.
He tossed the towel aside and strode toward her.
After arriving at her side, he carefully examined her sleeping face.
He hadn't looked at her properly in a long time. The last time he looked at her so intently was the night they made love.
It felt like something from the last century, so distant.
The man rested his hands on either side of the recliner, his gaze sweeping back and forth across her face.
"Please don't hit me! Please don't hit me..."
"It hurts, it hurts so much..."
Just then, Sang Ruo suddenly uttered these words.
She instinctively raised her hand to cover her head, as if to prevent someone from hitting her.
When this sight came into the man's view, his brows furrowed slightly.
She's having a nightmare.
She must have dreamt of being in prison, and that someone was beating her.
Bo Jinyan's brows furrowed even more, and he subconsciously reached out and pulled her wrist.
“Sang Ruo, Sang Ruo…”
"Wake up."
Bo Jinyan tried to wake her up, but she seemed to be deeply trapped in her nightmare. She broke free from his hand, curled up into a ball, and looked extremely pitiful.
A visible pang of heartache welled up in the man's eyes.
Worried that she would be trapped in the nightmare, he quickly reached out and pulled her up from the recliner, shaking her arm forcefully in an attempt to wake her up.
With a tremor, Sang Ruo was completely free from the nightmare.
When I opened my eyes, I met a pair of extremely worried eyes.
Seeing her drenched in sweat, Bo Jinyan felt a pang of heartache in his eyes: "Did you have a nightmare?"
Sang Ruo swallowed unconsciously, her gaze fixed on the man in front of her, before slowly coming back to her senses.
She had just had a nightmare in which she was back in prison and being brutally beaten by the female inmates.
His hands and feet were covered in injuries, and he even coughed up blood.
These were all things she had personally experienced, but she didn't know why they were reappearing in her dream tonight.
"Maybe he's just too tired!"
Sang Ruo fixed her gaze on the floor, even somewhat afraid to look him in the eye.
For a long time in prison, she was afraid to see people, and even more afraid to look into their eyes.
The nightmare she had just experienced seemed to transport her back to that time, and the fear lingered in her mind and body, refusing to dissipate for a long time.
The man picked her up and carried her towards the bathroom.
He filled the bathtub with water and handed her a spare set of pajamas: "This set of pajamas was newly bought by your aunt according to your size. After you take a bath, get a good night's sleep and don't think too much."
He shoved the pajamas into her hands, then quickly turned away.
"Clatter—"
After the door closed, the room fell into a moment of silence.
Sang Ruo subconsciously lowered her gaze, looking at the pajamas in her hand, and suddenly felt a mix of emotions.
He even prepared pajamas for her...
I really can't understand this man anymore.
If he didn't have her in his heart, why would he thoughtfully prepare these things for her?
But even with her, it doesn't seem very realistic.
She's a woman who's been to prison, and even Bo Jinzhou and Bo Yukang despise her, so how could she possibly win Bo Jinyan's heart?
