Chapter 243 Catching the Sniper

The shooting at the Four Seasons Hotel is a huge blow to the hotel, with extremely negative consequences.

Charles, the general manager in charge of hotel operations, arrived at the scene immediately and repeatedly bowed to Shen Dong in apology.

Shen Dong knew that Charles did this mainly because he hoped that he, as the person involved, would say a few good words for them in front of the media.

Shen Dong naturally wouldn't agree so easily. He pointed to the four arrested guys and said, "Mr. Charles, if you can find out who's behind them, I guarantee I'll give your Four Seasons Hotel a lot of praise in front of the media."

Charles's eyes lit up, and he said, "Are you telling the truth?"

Shen Dong said, "Of course. I've always believed that it's not the occurrence of problems that's scary, but whether you can handle them appropriately. If you can't even find out who's behind it all, I really can't forgive your hotel."

The fact that Four Seasons Hotels can open hotels all over the world must be due to the strong support behind it.

Checking the identities of a few people is by no means a difficult task for a behemoth like the Four Seasons Hotel.

Charles said, "No problem, I promise I'll give you an answer tonight."

Shen Dong smiled and said, "I hope so."

After the lawyer arrived, Shen Dong asked Li Jie and others to protect the three women, while he and Tian Yangsheng rode in Johnson's police car to the police station.

On the way, Johnson asked, "Mr. Shen, have you offended anyone in New York?"

Shen Dong shook his head and said, "This is my first time in New York, how could I possibly offend anyone?"

Johnson said, "That's a big problem. It's very likely that someone bribed the local gangs to attack you. Generally speaking, in cases like this, it's very difficult to find out who's behind it."

Shen Dong glanced at him and said with a smile, "Officer Johnson, it seems you have a lot of experience with this kind of incident today."

Johnson said, "In the past two years, there have been more than 20 similar incidents, large and small, in New York, most of which targeted the wealthy."

Shen Dong asked, "Have you found out?"

Johnson sighed and said, "No. New York is a place where organized crime runs rampant. There are several Mafia companies alone, and they are all suspects. We simply can't find anything, and even if we did, they have countless ways to get away with it. There's nothing we can do; in the United States, capital is everything."

Shen Dong smiled and said, "Officer Johnson, it's a pleasure to meet you, a police officer with a strong sense of justice."

Johnson said, "Thank you for your assessment, but I am ashamed."

Just as Shen Dong was about to speak, he suddenly sensed a tremendous crisis approaching him.

Shen Dong quickly turned his head to the side, and a bullet pierced through the glass, grazed past his ear, and struck the driver in the back of the head.

Johnson's expression changed drastically, and he shouted, "There's a sniper!"

The police officer sitting in the passenger seat immediately stopped the car.

"Get off the bus quickly."

Johnson yelled, quickly opened the car door, and ran out.

Shen Dong and Tian Yangsheng were even faster than him, and they had already sped off the moment the car stopped.

Shen Dong was able to determine that the danger was coming from the northwest, so he rushed towards the sniper's position.

Four bullets pierced through Shen Dong's sides in succession. Shen Dong swayed left and right, easily dodging them, while his speed remained unchanged.

Seeing how awesome Shen Dong was, the sniper hiding on the rooftop didn't dare to stay any longer. He immediately put away his sniper rifle and ran downstairs.

To the sniper's surprise, Shen Dong moved so fast.

He had just arrived on the first floor when he ran into Shen Dong.

The sniper now has two options: one is to pretend not to know Shen Dong and walk right past him; the other is to quickly draw his gun and kill him.

Without the slightest hesitation, the sniper chose the latter.

He pulled out a pistol and pointed it directly at Shen Dong.

Just as he was about to pull the trigger, the small steel ball in Shen Dong's hand struck his right hand.

The small steel ball had extremely strong penetrating power, embedding itself directly in the sniper's wrist, causing him to bleed profusely and drop his gun to the ground.

The sniper was clearly a highly skilled individual with special training. After being severely wounded, he only let out a muffled groan before pulling a dagger from his pocket and stabbing it at Shen Dong.

Shen Dong lightly lifted his right foot, kicking the dagger away, and at the same time grabbed the sniper's wrist. With two consecutive cracking sounds, the sniper's wrist joint was broken.

Then a chop to the back of the sniper's head, and the sniper fell to the ground.

Half a minute later, Tian Yangsheng ran in.

"Brother Dong, are you alright?"

Shen Dong laughed and said, "Of course I'm fine, but he's in big trouble."

Tian Yangsheng walked over to the sniper, unzipped his backpack, and revealed a sniper rifle inside.

Just then, Johnson and several police officers arrived.

When Johnson saw the backpack that Tian Yangsheng threw to him, his face turned ashen.

"Arrest him and take him back."

The driver killed by the sniper was a policeman who had a very good relationship with Johnson, so Johnson had sentenced the sniper to death.

Shen Dong said, "Mr. Johnson, after what happened, I don't think I need to go to the police station anymore. Because I really don't know who I've offended. I don't know a single gangster in all of New York."

Johnson thought for a moment and said, "Let's take the statement here. You can leave after that. Do you want me to send some people to protect you?"

Upon hearing this, Tian Yangsheng glanced at him with a disdainful expression.
