Shen Dong smiled and said, "I'm not interested in management rights, much less competing with you for controlling stake. Through these recent events, I've realized the importance of television stations as a medium for propaganda. So, I only want one right: to be able to broadcast whatever I want on Asia Television, provided it doesn't violate morality or the law. You understand what I mean, right?"
Qiu Defeng nodded and said, "I understand. But this will make me offend the four great families."
Shen Dong said, "If you want to use my funds to develop Asia Television, it's impossible without paying a price. Besides, I believe the four major families won't hold a grudge against you for this."
Qiu Defeng said, "Actually, I have an even better option: go directly to the four major wealthy families."
Shen Dong smiled and said, "Why would you want to talk to them? Will they give you a 500 million interest-free loan? Or will they buy shares of Asia Television at a price 20% higher than the market price? Even if they agree, given the way the four major families have always acted, aren't you worried that they will usurp your rights and take over Asia Television directly?"
Qiu Defeng picked up his coffee, took a sip, and said, "My business is in trouble. I need an interest-free loan of HK$500 million for two years."
Shen Dong thought for a moment and said, "President Qiu, how about transferring 200 million of the TV station's 500 million loan to you, and I'll add another 300 million?"
After pondering for a long time, Qiu Defeng extended his hand and said, "It's a pleasure to cooperate with you."
Shen Dong smiled broadly, shook hands with Qiu Defeng, and said, "It's a pleasure to cooperate with you."
