Chapter 438 The Terrified American

Then Adam guides the doctor to turn off the lights, and an X mark appears on the wall. The doctor breaks open the wall and takes out a box containing a cell phone that can only receive calls but not make them, cigarettes, and a note. The note suggests that the doctor should use the cigarettes to soak up the poisonous blood from the corpse and let Adam smoke it. If Adam dies, Adam will be saved.

The doctor hatched a plan, and after turning off the lights, he conspired with Adam to have Adam pretend to be dead by smoking. I have to say, with Ray Wynner's acting skills, he should just stick to being a screenwriter.

But little did they know that the chains were electrified, which woke Adam, who was pretending to be dead, and ended their performance.

Just then, the phone rang, and the doctor learned that his wife and daughter had been kidnapped, and that only Adam's death could save his family.

The doctor finally learned that Adam had known him before and had been hired by a mysterious person to take photos of the doctor having an affair. These photos had been kept with Jigsaw, but Adam had hidden them at the time.

The person who hired Adam was not Jigsaw, but the old policeman. The old policeman was not dead at the time but was suspended. However, based on his stubborn intuition, the old policeman believed that the doctor was the serial killer. As a result, he took a lot of photos of the doctor having an affair, but found nothing else.

In these photos, they inadvertently discovered that the doctor's caregiver was standing in the doctor's home. It turned out that it was the caregiver who had kidnapped the doctor's wife and daughter, and they concluded that the caregiver was the serial killer.

Just then, the phone rang. On the other end were the caregiver and the doctor's wife and daughter. The game's time limit had expired, and the caregiver was about to kill the doctor's wife and daughter. However, the wife had untied herself earlier and started fighting with the caregiver. The doctor could only hear several gunshots over the phone, and the fate of his wife and daughter remained unknown.

Desperate to save his wife and daughter, the doctor gritted his teeth and actually sawed off his own leg—the excruciating pain! Then the doctor picked up the corpse's gun, loaded it with bullets, and shot Adam.

Meanwhile, the caregiver was stopped by the old policeman, while the doctor's wife and daughter had already fled the scene.

The caregiver's plan was disrupted, so she had to run to the secret room to kill the doctor and Adam. Just as the caregiver was about to shoot the doctor, Adam suddenly "came back to life" and killed the caregiver. It turned out that Adam was shot in a non-vital area by the doctor, which can be regarded as a nesting doll within a nesting doll.

The doctor promised to come back and save Adam after he left, but who knows?

Adam then searched the caregiver's body to see if he could find the anklet key, but instead found an identical tape recorder, complete with a pre-recorded one that he could listen to directly with a single press.

It turns out the caregiver wasn't Jigsaw; he was just a pitiful participant. He had been poisoned with a slow-acting drug and had to choose between saving himself and killing the doctor's wife and daughter. He chose the latter.

Then comes the biggest twist of the entire film: the "corpse" that had been lying in the room for almost the entire movie has actually "come back to life" and slowly stood up... He! Is the real mastermind behind this Saw game, the ultimate nested doll king of kings of kings! Jigsaw!

After Jigsaw awoke, the truth was revealed: Jigsaw was a terminal cancer patient who was being treated at the doctor's hospital. During this time, he witnessed people with healthy bodies doing all sorts of immoral things. Afterward, Jigsaw once again put Adam to trial for his sins, and when he left, he turned off the lights and locked the door of the secret room tightly!

........

Despite its mere $1.2 million budget, "Saw" garnered considerable critical acclaim and box office success thanks to its meticulously crafted suspenseful script, the surprising and ingenious layout of the life-or-death game levels, the visually stimulating R-rated violence, and most importantly, the various plot twists at the end.

Jigsaw's reputation for never killing anyone with his own hands is well-deserved. In the film, Jigsaw does try to kill an old policeman, but the old man survives, which also shows that Jigsaw has a good control over his strength and doesn't kill people. He leaves the power of life and death to his own choice and fate.

For a thriller or horror film, this movie goes beyond just gore and violence; it also raises moral and social issues that are worth discussing and debating. This is quite remarkable for a thriller that is primarily for entertainment.

I believe that many people watch Jigsaw not to agree with his attitude of judging others' life and death, but to sympathize with him, but not to agree with him, and then enjoy watching it. That's how "Saw" achieves its purpose!

To be honest, when Shen Fang watched this movie again, he felt so disgusted that he didn't even want to eat lunch. James Wan is truly a genius; he made it so bloody and violent.

Not only her, but Ivanka, Zhukova, and Shen Kun were all disgusted.

The movie ended, and everyone left the theater.

Reporters from major film and television media outlets such as CBS and ABS began interviewing passersby.

"Hello everyone, I'm your old friend Randy. Today we're here at the premiere of Saw, an R-rated film invested in by a Chinese filmmaker. Let's interview some audience members to see what they think of this movie."

Randy stopped a young white man.

"Hey, handsome young man, would you like to do an interview?"

The handsome young man nodded when he saw it was Randy. As the main host of CBS, Randy was known to almost everyone in the New York area as the famous movie interviewer.

"Sure, but please don't take too long for the interview. I feel nauseous right now."

"Um, why do you feel like throwing up? Did you eat something bad?"

"No, it's because I watched this movie."

"What? Because it's so bad?"

The young white man shook his head: "No, it's mainly because this movie is too bloody and violent. The killing scenes are too realistic, and I'm not used to it."

After saying that, the young white man couldn't hold back and vomited right in front of Randy.

Randy quickly dodged.

They pulled in another young Black man.

"Hey boy, can I interview you?"

"No problem, buddy."

What's your opinion on the movie Saw?

"Hey buddy, this movie scared the crap out of me, I really peed my pants. Look, my underwear is all wet. I peed during the movie. I suggest you guys call the police and have the director investigated. I suspect he's a murderer!!!"

The young Black man took off his pants, and sure enough, his underwear was wet. It smelled strongly of urine.

Randy... was completely devastated.

I then interviewed several audience members, and unsurprisingly, they all felt the film was too terrifying, too frightening, and too bloody, especially for them now. They said seeing a chainsaw gives them psychological trauma.

This film left a deep impression on them. Many people couldn't sleep that night.
