Chapter 446 The Terrifying Nature of South Korea

"Third Uncle, you're quite the ladies' man. You're so popular even in South Korea."

Shen Fang rolled her eyes at Shen Kun: "Do you need to tell me? Do you have someone you like?"

Shen Kun shook his head: "They're all too thin, and my wife has to be Chinese!!!"

Huang Bin's phone rang, and he answered the call...

"Boss, they've agreed. We're meeting tonight at the Shilla Hotel."

Shen Fang nodded.

"All done, let's go check on Old Chen."

The three got into the car. Inside the presidential suite, Kim Tae-yeon looked at Jessica: "Sooyeon, it seems this Mr. Shen really is a gentleman." Jessica smiled and nodded: "Yes."

Kwon Yuri pointed to Jung Soo-jung lying in Jessica's arms: "Little Krystal is so brave, she confessed to Mr. Shen on the very first time they met."

Jessica glanced helplessly at her sister, who was fast asleep in her arms. How embarrassing!

After arriving at the room with the members, Kim Tae-yeon remained on guard, fearing that Shen Fang might suddenly knock on the door and come in. Although he was young, handsome, and wealthy, in the eyes of these trainees, rich people were nothing but wolves and tigers, none of them good. They treated them like playthings. If Shen Fang really forced them, they would have no chance to resist.

This kind of thing is all too common in South Korea. The Jang Ja-yeon incident that broke out some time ago really shocked these trainees. Jang Ja-yeon is definitely the most tragic female celebrity in South Korea.

In front of the camera, she is glamorous and has countless fans. Off-camera, no matter how beautiful she dresses every day, one phone call is all it takes for her to grovel and become a plaything for a tycoon executive.

Every time she got new clothes, she felt terrified, because it meant a new man would see her. Having suffered endless humiliation, she wrote tearfully in her suicide note: "I've lived a life worse than a street prostitute."

She is a South Korean actress who was tortured to death by a chaebol.

The South Korean entertainment industry has always been a glamorous symbol, where countless stars have realized their dreams and won worldwide acclaim. However, behind that glitz and glamour lies much unknown darkness and evil. Among these incidents, the earliest and most tragic is the Jang Ja-yeon case, which occurred in 2003. Jang Ja-yeon was a South Korean actress who, three years after her debut, tragically committed suicide at home at the young age of 29.

She wrote a 230-page suicide note revealing that her agency forced her to sleep with 31 high-ranking figures in the corporate, media, and entertainment industries. This abuse occurred nearly a hundred times, causing her endless humiliation and pain. She also provided a detailed list of these individuals and stated that she would seek revenge as their ghost after death. [Among them were the Samsung father and son.]

Jang Ja-yeon was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1980. Her father was the president of a branch of a conglomerate, and her mother was a housewife. From a young age, she enjoyed a happy and affluent family environment and was regarded as the most precious treasure by her parents. She was beautiful, cheerful, and academically outstanding. She also had an older sister and a younger brother.

From a young age, she had a strong interest and talent in the performing arts, participating in numerous model competitions and talent shows, achieving remarkable results. However, at the age of 16, a car accident shattered her dreams and happiness.

At the time, her parents were killed in a car accident while on a business trip, leaving her and her sister alone. This tragedy also provided an opportunity for relatives, who seized their property, pushed them into hardship, and isolated them. They could only survive on her sister's salary and her own odd jobs, witnessing all kinds of injustice and cruelty.

As a result, Jang Ja-yeon lost her trust and enthusiasm for life, becoming silent and melancholic. At her most helpless and desperate moment, a man claiming to be her manager appeared, expressing concern and admiration for her.

He promised to help her achieve her dream of becoming a theatrical performer and invited her to sign with his agency. His persistent persuasion and sweet talk initially made Jang Ja-yeon suspicious and hesitant, but ultimately she wavered. After all, she longed to change her fate, escape the shadows, and pursue her dreams anew.

She accepted his invitation and resolutely signed a seemingly wonderful contract. However, this contract became the starting point of the biggest mistake and tragedy of Jang Ja-yeon's life. This contract was not just an entertainment contract, but also included many unsavory service agreements.

These services included forcing Jang Ja-yeon to drink and sleep with clients, and to film pornographic videos. These services targeted high-ranking individuals in corporations, media, and the entertainment industry, who used their power and wealth to satisfy their personal desires and interests.

Their accomplices and intermediaries were none other than Jang Ja-yeon's own agency, who sacrificed female artists (including Jang Ja-yeon) to pursue their own interests and connections. Despite Jang Ja-yeon's unwillingness, she found herself in a situation from which she could neither resist nor escape.

The contract clearly stipulates that if she breaches the contract or refuses to perform the "services," she will be forced to pay a penalty of 1 billion won (approximately 6 million yuan). For a girl with no assets or income, this figure is astronomical.

Even if she had the money, she couldn't terminate her contract with the agency because they would use various excuses to delay or refuse. If she dared to resist or protest in the slightest, she would be subjected to violence, intimidation, threats, and blacklisting by the agency's boss and agents. Even if she wanted to report the case to the police or seek outside help, she would be manipulated and obstructed by the agency.
