281. Chapter 280 The Last Light (VIII)

Chapter 280 The Last

Light of Hope (Part 8) Lynch was covered in blood, and the mindless slaughter lasted for an unknown amount of time. However, looking around, the number of Chaos Warriors did not decrease at all.

He had already noticed a slight change in temperature; he seemed to have broken out of the frozen soil of the troll kingdom and reached the edge of civilization where people could barely live.

Lynch only hopes that the number of Chaos warriors pouring into Kislev will not be so exaggerated. A Chaos army of this scale will leave nothing behind wherever it passes. Before Lynch beheads the warlord and disintegrates the Chaos storm, the human kingdom will probably collapse first.

The Lizardman was like a chariot, crashing straight into the Chaos Warriors that were blocking its way, its silver-grey scepter dancing somewhat stiffly, cutting out deadly blood.

Chaos warriors were bitten to death from time to time, and Lynch let the metal residue cut through his esophagus and replenished his energy by eating without a care.

Another meteorite streaked across the sky and gradually approached the ground. The strong hot wind did not affect the battle on the ground. Even though all the soldiers noticed the meteorite, no one chose to avoid it.

The collision occurred at the end of Lynch's sight. He only saw Chaos Warriors falling in groups in front of him. After his hearing was temporarily deafened and recovered in the blink of an eye, Lynch did not even hear any screams.

The Chaos Warriors who were not in the impact area turned over and got up again. The fanatical warriors were only concerned with responding to the call of "blood sacrifice to the Blood God" and rushed towards the two uninvited guests one after another.

They always are, Chaos Warriors are just as eager to fight as Thoros, and just as fearless of death.

The roar of war spread from north to south, passed on by word of mouth by Chaos warriors.

In less than ten minutes, almost all the plunderers heading south learned the good news.

Two uninvited champions are seeking a challenge, including a demon, the legendary Uzul the Skulltaker.

Every warrior who was confident enough to challenge a powerful enemy chose to return north. If they could kill Uzul or another champion who was equally powerful, the Blood God would surely bestow the most generous grace upon them.

This is exactly what these mortals who are on the path to ascension are pursuing. Divine grace is everything.

At the end of the road to ascension, the demon princes and chaos gods are waving to all the brave ones. Compared with achieving eternal immortality, what is the point of plundering a mortal kingdom?

"I am Freyr! The destroyer of Hel City, the bloody massacre!"

A Chaos Warrior who looked more burly roared and rushed towards Lynch. The Lizardman looked up at him and cut off the scepter in his hand without stopping. He took advantage of the momentum to chop the body of another Chaos Warrior in front of him with his staff.

The scepter cleanly split the Bloody Slaughterer in half at the shoulder. Apart from his louder voice, he seemed no different from other Chaos Warriors.

Another ambitious champion smashed his companion who was blocking his way to death, approached the lizard man, and also reported a name that was unclear whether it was true or false.

"I am the chief plunderer, the Scourge of Nordland! Emperor."

He was unable to finish reading the long title because Lynch was in a hurry to head south. Any chaotic creatures that dared to stand in his way had to be dealt with as quickly as possible. The "Chief Predator" also failed to take a blow.

More Chaos Champions flocked in, and all kinds of messy titles entered Lynch's ears one after another. In the end, he couldn't even tell whether the one who died under the scepter was the "Mammoth Killer" or the "Giant's Doom".

They were irrelevant. Whether he was the "Nightmare of the Frost Dragon Chromitis" or the "Siren Butcher", they could not slow down Lynch's pace southward in the slightest.

Gradually, more and more Chosen Ones challenged Lynch, and their appearances became more and more frequent, until in the end, the Chaos Warriors could not even be seen at all.

The Chaos Warriors became spectators at the outermost circle of the battle.

Lynch can no longer break through the crowd, because there are also outstanding champions among the chosen ones.

If it was a one-on-one fight, Lynch could kill them as easily as killing an elephant, but the Norsemen had a different understanding of duels, and Lynch had been fighting them in groups.

The axes and halberds attacking from all directions made it difficult for the Lizardmen to defend themselves. Fortunately, they were not much heavier than the Chaos Warriors, so Lynch was not stopped directly in the crowd.

Lynch watched Uzul's position vigilantly. When he was sure that the Skull Taker would not catch up with him in a short time, he gave up guarding his back and concentrated on leaping to the south.

The battle axes of the Chosen Ones fell on Lynch one after another. There was amazing power in their tiny bodies. Even though Lynch was prepared, his balance was still affected by the huge force coming from all sides.

Compared to balance, Lynch's broken scales and flowing blood are less important.

The wounds that didn't kill him immediately would heal quickly, but once he lost his balance in the crowd, it would not be easy to stand up again.

The intensive blows caused Lynch to hit the weapons of several chosen ones every time he swung his staff, and even turning around seemed difficult.

Lynch hastily poured the acid forward and rolled suddenly towards the open space cleared by the acid. It took him only a moment to regain his balance.

He took advantage of the fact that the Chosen Ones had no time to surround him again, and with his powerful strength, he pushed away the warriors rushing from the south, waving his scepter to clear a path to the south.

But the number of God's Chosen Ones was too large, and before Lynch could get out a few miles, he was surrounded again. In order to prevent another stalemate, he had to activate the arc of light of Kotego's Scepter to break through.

But the energy of the scepter is limited, and it has not been exposed to the sun's light for too long. This is not a solution.

When another blast of meteorites summoned by Teclis failed to cause effective damage, the exhausted winds of heaven could no longer provide help to mortals.

This does not mean that the Archmage has no other ways to influence the battle. He knows every spell in the White Tower, and this terrifying reserve of knowledge is the root of his arrogance.

Even the ancient magic toads would recognize his expertise in magic.

As long as the wind of magic does not dry up, he will always find a way to turn defeat into victory.

And now, he was in the chaos storm - chaos was the source of magic.

No wizard is willing to frequently cast magic that is too powerful. All wizards who have not surrendered to Chaos are trying to eliminate the influence of Chaos magic on the human world.

But now Teclis had to overcast his spells, and while he would have been proud of this power when he first learned magic, now he only felt it weighing on him.

Because his spellcasting means that the Chaos Realm is one step closer to the mortal world. If Lynch were here, he might execute him the moment he recited the spell containing terrifying power.

The chaotic swarm of ants on the ground was still fearlessly rushing towards the two champions, and no one cared about the faint echo between heaven and earth.

The earth was crying, and by the time the creatures it carried noticed this terrible phenomenon, it was too late.

The shaking ground provided Lynch with assistance. He was more agile than the Chaos Warriors. When the earth cracked, Lynch reacted first and jumped on the broken land on the cracked ground.
