Chapter 102: Dragon
In the silent jungle, hundreds of human wizards fell to the ground in front of Lin Qi.
They were surrounding a huge circular mirror, which had been shattered.
It was as if some invisible force killed them instantly! Lynch knew that these hot-blooded people were the culprits, and they might have been in the mirror before.
Not caring about the loser, the lizard man set off again.
Lynch took Asur upstream along the river that runs diagonally across Lustria, connecting the east coast and the north coast.
Under the deep and wide river surface, huge dragons were coveting the visitors.
These nearly ten-meter-long plesiosaurs survived because of the will of the ancient saint Ich, as they would have long been extinct in other parts of the world due to climate change.
They always like to hide in the deep waters of Lustria, and then, as now, welcome the unfortunate ones passing by with sharp needle-like teeth in their long jaws.
But they have offended the wrong target! Normally, these dragons live in the Dragon Dock in the temple city. It is called a dock, but it is actually a breeding swamp near the water.
They will feed on large amphibians or invading warm-blooded species.
Occasionally, fishermen or noted Soloists would use Pliosaurs to herd fish over long distances or to carry out ocean raiding missions.
The latter are much rarer, as the Lizardmen rely more on Slann magic to march long distances.
Lynch had already noticed the food stirring in the water, and with a sweep of his tail he swept away the elves that came too close to the river.
These elves are not familiar with the varying depths of the waters of Lustria. You know, where something looks shallow, there may be an abyss underneath.
Amid the exploding water, the lizardman directly grasped the long jaws of the pliosaur, released the elf at the tail end, and threw the pliosaur onto the shore with an over-the-shoulder throw.
Asur nimbly dodged the muddy river water, and the Swordmaster of Hoth subconsciously slashed and cut the skin of the dragon, just passing through its neck.
Although this wound was just a scratch for Shanglong.
It seems that tonight's dinner has been settled. This is a hint from the "Predator" Huangqi. He used the wound of Asur's sword to mark the hunting target for Lynch.
But you can't have a picnic on the shore, as there are still more aquatic monsters that have not been lured out.
Lynch dragged the struggling monster deep into the jungle on land, and then used his scepter to completely end the dragon's pain, so that it no longer had to wail for blood.
The spirit lizards like to throw corpses into the river when passing by, and hold sacrifices to the water god Zongqi at the same time.
Lynch is not planning to hold a sacrifice ceremony at the same time. This sacrifice is actually a means to gather water beasts.
The Skinks have the skills to tame them, and Lynch can only distinguish between them and who is the real predator.
More importantly, Lynch doesn't know beast magic and doesn't bring any sacrificial utensils.
Don't count on the archmage. When the magic fails, the monsters he summons won't be as loyal as they were after the sacrificial ceremony.
Lynch didn't know what kind of mess the ancient saints had written into the genes of the beasts in Lustria.
Unless there is an order for Lynch to lead an expedition, don't even think about letting him bring a large number of giant beasts that consume a lot of food.
He was more concerned about how to cook this dragon to make it delicious.
Before the fire was lit, a Triceratops cub, which looked like it had successfully lost weight, curiously poked its head out from the tall ferns.
It seems to be the product of an encounter between a Tyrannosaurus and a Triceratops. It has the head shape of a Triceratops and a body as thick as the forelimbs and hind limbs of a Tyrannosaurus.
Lynch was just surprised to find this Akanaton.
He thought the arcane dragons were extinct, but he didn't expect them to still be lingering in the rainforest.
At the beginning, the war beast responsible for carrying the solar engine was not an ankylosaur.
The cub the size of a car in front of Lynch was the original one who was tasked with this mission.
Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of them, so the trainer has to change his target.
The approaching stench made Lynch feel uneasy. After signaling Asul to protect the cubs of the rare species, Lynch quickly rushed to the source of the smell.
A burly green-skinned warrior who was as tall as a floor appeared in front of Lynch, along with a few savage orcs.
They were full of energy. When the big one leading the group saw Lynch, his eyes lit up and he rushed over quickly, screaming.
Lynch was familiar with the orc warlord's appearance. The two orc warlords he had seen seemed to be the same. Perhaps this was the norm for greenskins? Lynch rushed in like a whirlwind, unleashing a "killing rage" and beheaded the orc warlord in one encounter, smashing the Savage Orc to death.
The flames ignited the spores. Lynch didn't pay too much attention to the similarity in the green skins' appearance. They couldn't be the same one, right?
There was no need to let his mind wander too much. Lynch returned to the dragon's corpse, asked the great wizard to control the cub, and began to show off his unrivaled culinary skills.
A moment later, facing the charred, half-cooked pieces of Pleistocene meat, Asur politely refused the gift.
The Arcane Dragon took care of the other one-fifth for Lynch, and the remaining three-fifths of the meat could not be wasted.
Lynch is not going to let go of the arcane dragon cub that is lost in the jungle.
Lynch began to carefully observe the bark of the trees in the surrounding jungle, and it didn't take long before he discovered a small, graffiti-like triangular head mark.
It pointed north, and Lynch went north and found the mark again after passing ten mulberry trees.
The next one is to the west, behind five mulberry trees, and is a sign left by the Skinks to help the Coldbloods find the Temple of Ichi.
What's annoying is that they are often arranged in some kind of number sequence.
The Stenks have this knowledge in their heads, and it is nothing more than instinct to them.
Due to the changeable rainforest environment, other creatures still have to spend a lot of time groping for the exact route even if they calculate it.
Lynch had a better way, and he no longer had confidence in the knowledge in his head.
His knowledge inheritance is missing a corner. He only vaguely mentioned the behavioral symbolism of Shi Jianke without explaining the knowledge in related fields.
Returning along the original route, Lynch hoped that the archmage would cast a spell to find the nearest Ichi temple and bring the lost cub and Lynch's remaining sacrifices over there.
Isn't this much faster than traditional methods?
The temple's complex anti-divination arrangement made the archmage spend a long time solving the ancient saint puzzle.
When night fell, under the white moon, Lynch grabbed the arcane dragon's horn and led it to the place marked by Teclis.
At least the unlucky guy who did mathematical research was not Lynch.
This was the only way he could comfort himself.
The beast dragged most of the dragon's corpse, moving with difficulty, and slowly approached Ichi's sanctuary with the adventurers.
The sight passed over the poisonous snake vines high in the tree canopy, and under the dazzling starry sky that even the white moon could not obscure.
A magnificent pyramid stands here.
It is different from traditional temples. It has a huge door on one side and the interior is hollowed out to receive guests and can even accommodate lizards.
The Skinks often ascend the steps and place their offerings on the platform at the top of the pyramid.
Then the tobacco in the shrine is lit, allowing the special smoke to spread out.
The most ferocious hunters will follow the scent to meet the lord of the cold-blooded beast and enjoy the rich blood sacrifice offered by Shi Jiank.
The victim is pushed off the platform and into the hunter's raised mouth.
