Chapter 7 Black Thirteen
Lynch hid in a cave and drank some clear water dripping from the stalactites.
Just a while ago, he heard the sound of bells in the distance.
It seems that this place is no longer safe. After the feeling of weakness in Lynch's body disappeared, he set off again.
In the next few days, Lynch encountered no more threats, but he could always feel the inexplicable spying on him.
The assassin from Clan Eshin was still determined to kill Lynch.
During this period, Lynch was lucky enough to catch a few fish, which provided him with enough energy.
The structure of the cave became simpler and simpler, and finally, only a wide road remained.
After walking along the bumpy rocks for several more days, Lynch found a "bridge" in the gentle stream.
It is about 20 to 30 meters wide. There seems to be a rock layer under the silt, like a shallow beach where the tide has just receded. Some unlucky fish and shrimps are trapped in the puddles.
Lin Qi thanked the water god Zongqi and ate these gifts from nature along the way.
The cold and peeping gaze behind him appeared again, and Lynch swaggered across the hundreds of meters long shallows and came to the other side.
After confirming that the other side was safe, Lynch sat on a rock and looked back quietly in the direction he came from.
As if unable to bear Lynch's provocative attitude, several darts flew from the opposite side and were accurately blocked by Lynch.
A rat man who was not even as tall as Lynch's thigh rushed over with a sharp blade in his hand and jumped behind Lynch in the blink of an eye.
The cold light of the dagger stabbed at Lynch's eyes from behind, but Lynch cleverly blocked it with his staff.
The ratman's long and slender tail lashed towards Lynch without any hesitation. The sharp tail blade was filled with a dark green venom that made Lynch dare not be careless.
He moved sideways to push the rat man away, while using the end of his staff to meet the tail blade.
The rat man's body turned strangely in mid-air, and his tail blade drew an incredible arc, reaching towards Lynch's eyes like a venomous snake.
Lynch closed his eyelids, used the stick to defend himself, and stabbed the rat man with the tip of the stick, trying to force him to give up this insidious attack.
If the rat man had not changed his tactics and dodged at the last moment, Lynch would have thought it was a warrior who was not afraid of death and was willing to exchange his life for Lynch's.
If the venom could really kill Lynch. The tail blade hit the staff, and Lynch's powerful force and the ratman's explosive attack blended into a crisp loud noise.
The ratman was blown away by the huge force, and used the force to jump to the rocks in the distance, hiding his body, preparing to use the advantage of mobility to launch another sneak attack.
Its employer was already getting impatient waiting; he was a Grey Seer of high status, the leader of the newly emerged Broken Tail Clan and a highly respected figure among the Grey Seers.
It wanted to continue to carefully look for the opportunity, but if it delayed any further, the Clan of Eshin would probably send an assassin rat of higher status than itself to kill it and take over its commission.
The shallows in front of Lynch seemed to tremble, and then Lynch realized that this was not an illusion.
There were huge waves on the water surface, the shallows sank into the water, and then shook violently several times.
The silt was scattered in the waves, making the entire water area turbid.
Both Lynch and the rat assassin stopped the confrontation. Lynch looked at the scales that emerged from the water again, and felt a sense of déjà vu.
The irregular patterns reminded Lynch of his experience when he first entered the underground, and then reminded him of the impressive giant eye.
There was no mistake. The unknown giant beast came here to rest. Its half-floating body accumulated silt while it was sleeping, which formed the "bridge" that Lin Qi had just walked across! Two yellow lights like searchlights lit up underwater and projected onto the shore.
Lynch smelled the fear in the air, and it seemed that the timid rat was also scared.
Lynch slowly retreated away from the shore. The body of the giant beast alone was hundreds of meters long. Lynch couldn't even imagine how big it was.
Fortunately, it seemed to have no appetite for the tiny Lynch, but was just annoyed at being woken up.
This is even worse. I hope it doesn't hold a grudge.
“Hua La La~”
The giant beast's slender and flat tail stirred up a huge wave, which splashed towards Lynch.
Huge waves rushed into the cave. Lynch made a quick decision and embedded the scepter deeply into the rock to secure himself, which allowed him to withstand the impact of the waves firmly.
Fortunately, Lynch was strong enough. Although his whole body was sore from the huge force, he was not carried into the underground sea by the backflow tide.
The unfortunate Skaven assassin screamed helplessly in the tide. Even though it was a skilled killer, it could not defeat this terrible force like a natural disaster.
The ratman shouting on the water seemed to attract the attention of the giant beast, and it observed the tiny ratman curiously.
The frightened Skaven secreted a dirty liquid, and the giant beast seemed to have lost interest, suddenly sinking and swimming away.
The tide caused by the giant's action carried away the ratman, and Lynch watched it being crushed to death by two colliding waves.
The raging waves gradually calmed down, and Lynch walked away from the water in shock.
Bo'oril moved away from the mark on the stone platform in fear. A rat from the Clan Eshin had sneaked into its secret altar!
Did the Eshin assassin it had commissioned fail? Did the infamous senior assassin die? For a moment, Booril was tempted to terminate the commission, but the Eshin clan was clearly not a weak group that could be manipulated by rats.
The new assassin had taken the balance by himself, and half of Bo'orel's treasured dimensional stones were missing! By identifying the mark left by him, Bo'orel determined that the other party was a member of the most elite assassin organization in the Eshin clan.
It's a black thirteen!
Bo'oril leaned uneasily against the rock wall, looking at the darkness nervously.
There is no doubt that the person coming is a master among masters.
You know, if you want to keep the name Black Thirteen, you have to always make sure you are at the top of the Clan Eshin.
And the price of failure is death!
The Night Lord of the Aisin family will not spare the lives of his subordinates. If you want to satisfy it, you must constantly improve your skills and reach the pinnacle of assassination.
In the entire family, only the Night King himself and the Master of Death have a higher status than Black Thirteen.
The Black Thirteen organization is a secret.
Bo'oril was once a member of the Overlord Clan.
The Grey Prophet Clan, with its high status, stands out from the crowd in the Council of Thirteen.
During the civil war of that year, it wavered between the Plague Clan and the Parliament and gained a lot of benefits.
Otherwise, it would not know about this mysterious organization.
Bo'oril began to be afraid. The lizard thing that could kill a high-level assassin must be a special infant spirit among the lizard people.
Was it sent by those big toads to retrieve the artifact?
If it died underground, would it alarm those sleepy giant toads and make them think that the Plague Clan had returned to Lustria? The Broken Tail Clan would be liquidated by the Serpent God's messenger!
No! Before that, Booril will leave Lustria with his baby and go to the Old World! Build a new clan!
Greed took over its mind, and now the only thing it had to worry about was whether Black Thirteen would secretly take the treasure away? (End of this chapter)
