Chapter 93: Changes
Seeing that there was no danger, Lynch simply took Asur deeper.
But the jungle seemed to have changed. At least, in Lynch's ancient memory, there shouldn't be so many strange plants.
The ancient sage imprinted an atlas of tropical rainforest creatures in the lizard man's mind. In theory, there shouldn't be anything that Lynch doesn't recognize.
Some blurry illusions appeared again, whispering tirelessly, trying to awaken Lynch's thoughts.
But it is difficult for Lynch to suffer a loss a second time with the same trick.
To be cautious, Lynch avoided the unfamiliar plants.
Lynch could only see some firs mixed in, which were shorter than the ancient species of Lustria.
He saw the oak again, and wild flowers grew among the moss.
Hallucination?
In the grass, a wood elf holding a longbow pushed aside the berry bushes, passed through the bushes, and passed by Lynch in a stealth posture.
Lynch could even smell his scent and hear his heartbeat.
To be cautious, the adventure team kept a distance from these things that shouldn't exist.
After divination determined that there was no danger, Teclis tried to communicate with the wood elves, but the other party did not respond.
In the bushes in front of the wood elves, ferocious goat horns pierced the tender green plants, and a group of beastmen appeared, howling and holding battle axes.
The Wood Elf fired several arrows, but the Beastmen were too numerous and he was forced to retreat along the same route.
The beastman raised his battle axe and rushed towards Lynch.
Lynch blocked subconsciously, and the weapon pierced through the beastman's body, but it was unharmed.
A wood elf with a spear appeared from behind Lynch, danced a war dance, and killed the hoovees.
Was this an image from far away? Another wood elf passed through Lynch's body, and Lynch had a strange feeling that the sound of them shouting and killing was getting closer.
In order to prevent any accidents, Lynch led Asur to avoid the battlefield.
The jungle was in chaos. Besides the battlefield between the beastmen and the wood elves, Lynch discovered a swamp corroded by vampires. It should have been a clear pond.
Human soldiers wearing half-armor and holding firearms were fighting a bloody battle with goblins riding giant spiders.
There were more resurrected undead in the swamp, but both humans and goblins ignored them.
Instead, it was the newly appeared knight in full plate armor, roaring the name "Sigma", fighting with the vampires mixed in with the undead.
The adventure team was in the gap of the battlefield, and there was a cedar forest behind them. Lynch could even feel the chill, which made the heat of Kotego's scepter more obvious.
In the cedar forest, teams of dwarves in heavy armor shouted as they fought bloody battles with greenskins riding giant wolves.
There were more Norscans in the rear, wearing only animal skins, hunting an ice troll.
Before the adventurers could quickly cross this chaotic area, the vegetation ahead suddenly became sparse.
Knights in full armor, riding on nimble war horses, bypassed the birch trees and rushed over, roaring.
The adventurer subconsciously avoided the charge, and the archmage tried several spells in succession, but none of them could stop the anomaly.
It doesn't seem to be just magic.
"This is a maze! We need to find its core!" Teclis shouted, letting his voice rise above the noisy battlefield.
I don’t know what the point of such a maze is. Even if they can attack Lynch, Lynch is confident that he can defeat them all.
Some battlefields overlapped, and the Wood Elves were no longer fighting only the Beastmen. They were on guard against the human musketeers and repelled wave after wave of Undead.
The knights who had just passed Lynch gathered together, and the lance of the leading knight shone brightly.
Faced with the sudden onslaught of beastmen, greenskins, and undead, the knight who had just defeated a group of forest goblins shouted loudly:
"My fellow countrymen, for the people we love and protect forever in our hearts!
For our most loyal faith in the Lady of the Lake!
For the light and glory of Bretonnia!
Draw your swords! Raise your spears!
Glorious warriors of Bretonnia,
Charge! Charge! Charge!"
Dozens of knights charged at the growing number of enemies, their heavily armored horses shaking the jungle and knocking down trees.
At this moment, a low horn was blown.
Teclis recognized it, it was the prelude to the Esraist Wild Hunt!
Dense arrows shot down the scorpion-tailed lion that appeared out of nowhere in the forest, and wood elf warriors riding giant elks swarmed out.
But the charge that was supposed to drive away the Beastmen instead ran into the equally fearless Bretonnian Knights.
Amidst the sharp and old laughter, warriors from both sides fell off their mounts, their lances were broken, and many elite knights died in the aftermath of the collision.
The Holy Grail Knight, his armor gleaming faintly, pushed his horse aside.
He roared in grief and anger, drew his sword, cut off the incoming arrows, and started a chase with the wood elf's wanderer.
This group of short-sighted and hot-blooded people ignored the powerful enemy and started to consume their own manpower first!
Lynch was enraged but still managed.
The knights of the Sigmar Empire protected the musketeers, and the dwarves on the ice field were compressed into the wet swamp.
As they looked on in confusion, the humans and their dwarven allies temporarily formed a battle line.
The Beastmen and the Norscans became one, one wanted to "sacrifice blood to the blood god", while the other called on "Ulric", the god of the North.
It seems that they are southern Norscans who are more influenced by civilization.
The troll was shot to death by the wood elf ranger with a fire magic arrow, and Eslay soon noticed the short long-bearded man who had a blood feud with them.
"Khazukan Khazakit Ha!"
The Dwarven warriors, holding on to an ancient hatred, ignited a war with the Wood Elves.
So it was with these Esrai, who remembered better than either Asur or Druzil the terrible wars between the Dwarves and the Elves in ancient times, and the poisoning of the forests by the Dwarves.
The dwarf pulled out detonators and used the blast to blow away the animated trees and blew the dryads into pieces.
The war dancers brandished their spears or dual swords, chanting the name of the god "Shadow Dancer" "Loik", and collided with the dwarf ironbreakers holding heavy giant shields.
The strongest walls of these mountain kingdoms resisted the wood elves' death dance.
The people of the empire were also busy taking care of themselves, and the vampires focused their attention on their old rivals.
The witch hunter in a windbreaker appeared from behind the bushes and almost nailed the vampire to the ground with a crossbow, but another vampire appeared behind him and broke his neck.
The greenskins became excited. The "waagh" of the forest goblins and the greenskin boys were united. The black orcs mixed in them killed the goblin leader and dominated this small-scale green tide.
The battlefields in different climates and regions completely intersected, and Lynch inexplicably felt that they were closer to him.
Teclis attempted to stop the civil war among the Kingdoms of Order, but the magic penetrated their bodies and was ineffective.
The archmage activated the Scroll of Hoeth, but it was not pure magic. The Scroll of Hoeth only slowed down the speed of their converging here.
Lynch's eyes became increasingly cold. These later species needed to be taught a lesson.
In the blizzard on the ice field, several Chaos Warriors in heavy armor walked out with their Chaos regiments and rushed towards the warring parties without hesitation.
There was a voice in Lynch's mind clamoring for him to kill all the stupid hot-bloods and restore peace to the rainforest.
