Chapter 91 Storm Next to the Storm

Chapter 91 Storm beside the Storm

Going down along the broken ground, Lynch was almost tired of killing the ratmen.

He didn't know how many ratmen he had killed, he only knew that no ratmen dared to rush up anymore.

Lynch continued indifferently, slicing through the rock with a fiery arc of light, straight down, toward where the smell was strongest.

They went up from there, and the smell left by the rising tide of rats provided Lynch with a convenient location.

A team of storm rats, which were several times larger than ordinary ratmen, wearing black armor and holding halberds, stood in front of Lynch.

They are the elite warriors of the Skaven, with distinctive black fur.

Lynch knew it wasn't far away.

Storm rats are guards for important high-ranking Skaven and are among the few strong ones among the ratmen.

But only compared to ordinary humans, Lynch is a lizard man, the most terrifying warrior.

The sixty sturdy storm rats only lasted three breaths, and that was because they were sufficiently dispersed.

There was no one who deserted, perhaps because they were really brave, or perhaps because Lynch was too fast and they didn't even have time to take action.

The outline of the building could already be seen. Lynch followed the wide tunnel, killing countless sewer rats along the way.

The mere appearance of these rat cubs from Clan Eshin allowed him to obtain important information.

At least four major clans are supporting this crazy plan. Perhaps the ratmen have built more than just this one device.

Normally, non-Eshin families would only employ a small number of Assassins.

Sewer rats are well-trained lurkers who are skilled at assassination, theft, erasing certain records, obtaining intelligence, and provoking disputes.

In the Old World, some timid guys dare not acknowledge the existence of ratmen because of the ubiquitous sewer rats.

It's not just that the sewer rats eliminated all traces of the ratmen's existence, but more importantly, it was the tacit understanding brought about by fear.

Wherever there are shadows, there may be ratmen hiding.

Humans do not have soldiers who can stay awake all day, monitor any movement with full concentration, and guard key locations for hundreds of years.

A false peace was maintained above ground and underground. Everyone who was interested knew that there were ratmen underground, but no one admitted their existence, because once the official admitted it, they would have to face the ratman craze.

Lynch turned a corner along the road and unexpectedly encountered another group of storm rats.

There was nothing to say. Lynch silently chanted the name of Sotek and offered more blood food to the snake god.

Further back was an army of twisted creatures, a combination of ratmen and direwolves, and living stone pillars made of ratmen and rocks. Lynch once thought that this place had been corrupted by Chaos. In areas severely eroded by Chaos, living inorganic matter would appear.

But this is just a failed creation of the Corrupted Clan.

The Corrupted Clan is in the Old World, far to the northeast, separated from Lustria by the Great Ocean and the Araby Desert kingdoms.

Further northeast, across the strait, passing through the southern countries and the abandoned rat city located in them, passing through the Kingdom of Bretonnia, the Empire of Sigmar, and the Kingdom of Kislev, is their hell pit.

Across half the planet!

It took a lot of effort for them to send us help.

Lynch stepped over the obstruction and defeated a group of storm rats before he saw the dark green stone gate.

The door was violently kicked open, and on the flat and empty underground square, a gray spire surrounded by green air currents appeared before Lynch's eyes.

To the right of the spire, there stands a circular water curtain.

Through the curtain of water, Lynch saw the ocean.

Dark clouds covered the distant sea, and thick lightning flashed continuously, reflecting the huge waves below.

The thunder fell densely, as if it was going to pierce through the ocean and split the entire planet.

Lynch saw the Black Ark, which was swaying in the strong wind and huge waves. You know, this is a moving island.

The light of magic blessed it and also made Lynch notice more insignificant ships.

Hundreds of Duruzi's ships were vaguely confronting the huge fleet on the right. There were nearly ten thousand black dots that gathered into a terrifying fleet of the undead.

The group of ferocious bats swaying in the hurricane made it difficult for Lynch to tell where they belonged.

Even more iconic is a castle that floats on the sea, and its midnight noble architectural style confirms Lynch's guess.

The two huge fleets were both avoiding the guests in the middle of the sea.

It was a smaller storm, and Lynch couldn't tell what it was through the magical image.

All we can see is that this storm is trying to enter the center of a larger storm, but is being pushed out by some force.

Not only it, the mountain-like waves rejected all fleets that tried to approach.

Lynch's arrival alarmed the hysterical warlocks. The plague priest who was blocked by the magic image gave up the fight and directly took out the rusty machete and rushed towards the lizard man.

They sang of the disaster brought by the Horned Rat, but in the blink of an eye, the hymn was forced to stop.

Lynch cut off their heads and dismembered their bodies.

The Eshin wizard's hair stood up, and he clamped his ears tightly and jumped into the shadows without hesitation.

The mutant pioneer was about to react, but was struck to death by lightning that appeared out of nowhere.

The shrill death knell rang rapidly, and the Grey Prophet tried to summon the rats, but the rats had been frightened away by the killings on the way Lynch came.

Lynch smashed the death knell, and the noisy and dizzying ringing was forced to stop.

A cloud of smoke spread from the left, and by the time Lynch broke the Gray Prophet's giant horn and crushed its throat, two of the engineering warlocks had disappeared.

Lynch turned to face the gray tower, crossed the green airflow, triggered the "killing rage", and slammed into it hard.

The tower was shaking due to the huge force. After Lynch gathered his strength, he slammed into it again, causing it to fall completely.

The scattered ratmen screamed and fled in all directions. Lynch was about to continue observing the water curtain, confirming that the device was destroyed, but found that the device had disappeared at some point.

A crack opened up in front of Lynch, and behind the crack was the scene of the camp on the ground. Teclis was holding up his staff to maintain the spell.

Lynch decisively entered the gap and came to the ground.

The night of trouble ends, and a clan of ratmen pays the price for disturbing the peace of the night.

The Lizardmen and Asur were about to continue enjoying their leisure time, but the faint light of dawn left the Archmage speechless.

Teclis complained about the unrest in Lustria and set out again with the Lizardmen.

Lynch did not agree with the Archmage's point of view. Not only Lustria, but the whole world was in turmoil at all times.

As long as the Dark Gods watch over the Mortal Realms, there will never be peace in this world.

Even the most peaceful countries experience wars from time to time.

Either the upper class is corrupted by evil gods, or the people are distorted by the power of chaos.

Human nations are too short-sighted. A few hundred years will allow them to forget the scars brought by chaos.

Completely disregarding the countless bones caused by the darkness in history.

The elves forgot their identity and were confined to the false peace on the island. Fortunately, things have changed in the last few hundred years.

Lin Qi didn't say anything, but the great wizard started talking about his past experiences.
