It was already completely dark.
Hongfei and Hongyu played outside all day, and soon after dinner, they started to feel sleepy.
Xing Zhaozhao washed their faces, hands, feet, and bottoms, then put them on the kang (heated brick bed) to sleep.
As soon as I stepped out of the house, I heard a knocking sound at the door.
