Is there really a secret in Chapter 133?

Gao Lianzhou looked aggrieved: "It wasn't me."

Ling Shuang didn't believe it: "Besides you, who else would come up with such a trick?"

Xing Zhaozhao lowered her head and lightly kicked Gao Mingcheng. He should be sensible and leave a good impression on her granddaughter-in-law.

Gao Mingcheng: "..."

"Ahem." Gao Mingcheng cleared his throat. "It has nothing to do with Lianzhou. I just want to eat chicken legs."

Ling Shuang: "..."

Not to mention Ling Shuang, everyone else was also shocked. Their gazes lingered between Gao Mingcheng and Xing Zhaozhao for a moment before they all chose to remain silent.

Ling Shuang paused for a moment, then immediately smiled and said, "Grandpa has good taste. I just took a look, and the chef specially made a ten-flavor chicken leg dish. They all look pretty good. You can try them."

The others: "..." This is the first time we've seen Ling Shuang (the eldest sister-in-law) take the initiative to make amends for someone.

Gao Lianzhou felt incredibly wronged. Why was he the only one who ended up getting hurt?

After hearing what Ling Shuang said, even those who hadn't planned to eat chicken legs couldn't resist trying them out of curiosity.

As it turns out, the chef at their Zhaohong Hotel is indeed trustworthy.

Because she was sitting directly opposite Gao Mingcheng and Xing Zhaozhao, she could see them with just a glance, and Ling Shuang unconsciously began to pay attention to the interaction between the two.

She was surprised to find that, despite not having any interaction, the dishes they served each other were always the ones the other liked, as if they had known each other for many years and were so familiar with each other that they couldn't be more familiar with each other.

Ling Shuang couldn't help but lean close to Gao Han's ear and whisper, "Have they really only known each other for a short time? They seem like an old married couple. They can tell what the other wants with just a glance."

Following Ling Shuang's gaze, Gao Han glanced at Gao Mingcheng and Xing Zhaozhao opposite him and whispered, "The time they've known each other might not be as short as it seems."

Ling Shuang looked at Gao Han in surprise: "What do you mean? Do you know something?"

Gao Han: "..."

Gao Han was indeed hiding a little secret, a secret he shared with Gao Lianzhou. He'd been investigating Xing Zhaozhao for some time now, but hadn't found anything. The less he found, the more he felt the old man was keeping things a secret. They probably, possibly, were indeed going to have three more uncles and aunts.

"I'll tell you when we get back," Gao Han whispered to Ling Shuang.

Ling Shuang was shocked. There really was a secret? She immediately felt anxious and wanted to scratch her head.

Another dish arrived: stir-fried river shrimp, Gao Hongfei's favorite. His eyes lit up when he saw it; he'd loved this dish since he was a child.

Before he could even make a move, the turntable started moving on its own, bringing the stir-fried river shrimp right in front of him before stopping precisely.

What a coincidence.

Gao Hongfei, unsuspecting, picked up his chopsticks and began to eat.

Ling Shuang and Gao Han, who had been watching this scene, couldn't help but look at Xing Zhaozhao, who had just pulled her hand back from the turntable.

Also witnessing this scene were Gao Yue and Xia Chen, a married couple sitting nearby.

Noticing that everyone had noticed, the two couples exchanged glances and then turned their attention to Ying Rongrong.

Suddenly being stared at by so many eyes, Ying Rongrong looked back, bewildered. What's going on?

Both couples silently averted their gazes, then unconsciously looked at Xing Zhaozhao across from them.

It's illogical that a strange woman could know their father better than their mother.

They looked at each other, feeling that something was amiss.

"Get out of my way! I don't want to hear any of this. I want to see Ling Shuang. Get Ling Shuang here right now..." A sharp voice suddenly rang out from outside the private room.

Inside the private room, Ling Shuang's expression immediately changed upon hearing the voice. The others paused in their actions and couldn't help but look at Ling Shuang with curiosity.

Ling Shuang smiled apologetically, stood up, and said, "I'm sorry to bother everyone. I'll go out and take a look." With that, she turned and walked towards the door.

Gao Han was worried and followed him out, saying, "I'll go with you."

Gao Lianzhou jumped up from the chair: "Oh no, that old hag is bullying my mom again! I can't let her get away with it!" With that, she ran out as well.

"Old hag?" Xing Zhaozhao turned to look at Gao Mingcheng curiously.

“It should be Ling Shuang’s aunt.” Gao Mingcheng put a piece of her favorite salted egg yolk crab on Xing Zhaozhao’s plate and said, “Don’t worry, they can handle it themselves.”

This granddaughter-in-law is perfect in every way, the only problem is that she has a group of troublesome relatives. But, every family has a few difficult relatives, and theirs is no exception; they're all minor issues.

Outside the private room, the restaurant manager was trying to stop the agitated Mrs. Ling: "Our CEO, Ms. Ling, has already left work. If this guest has any problems, please tell me."

Aunt Ling raised an eyebrow: "I've already told you my problem, so you'd better solve it for me. Can you solve it for me?"

Thinking of Aunt Ling's problem, the restaurant manager hesitated and said, "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't solve your problem."

Aunt Ling shoved the restaurant manager aside: "If you can't solve it, what are you talking to me for? Go and find Ling Shuang for me, I need to see Ling Shuang..."

Ling Shuang walked out of the private room, looked at Aunt Ling, and asked coldly, "What do you want with me?"

Upon seeing Ling Shuang, Aunt Ling, who had been arrogant and domineering, immediately smiled, quickly walked over, affectionately took Ling Shuang's arm, and said, "So you're here, Shuangshuang."

"Fire this useless manager! He can't even solve my little problem." She pointed at the restaurant manager and said, "Why don't we let our Xiaoyu give him a try? She'll definitely be able to handle it."

Ling Shuang expressionlessly pushed away Aunt Ling's arm, looked at the restaurant manager, and asked, "What small problem can't be solved?"

The restaurant manager looked at Ling Shuang helplessly and said, "This lady wants her meal free."

Ling Shuang: "..." She knew it.

"How much?" Ling Shuang asked.

"200,000," the restaurant manager said.

Ling Shuang: "..."

“Look at this person, he just doesn’t know how to handle things.” Aunt Ling pointed at the restaurant manager’s nose and said, “You’ve already married into the Gao family, so the Ling and Gao families are now one family. It’s just a mere 200,000 yuan. Your in-laws certainly wouldn’t be so stingy as to ask me for money. It’s this lousy worker who’s been begging me for it.”

Ling Shuang looked coldly at Aunt Ling and said, "Since you don't care about that mere 200,000, then settle the bill."

Upon hearing this, Aunt Ling immediately jumped up and down, glaring angrily at Ling Shuang, and scolded, "Ling Shuang, what do you mean? Your parents died early back then. If we hadn't adopted you, raised you to adulthood, and supported your education, you wouldn't have the good life you have now. Are you planning to kick us away now? Don't even think about it, let me tell you."
