After eating and drinking his fill, Chen Dachuan ignored his two daughters huddled to the side and turned to go back into the house. He had originally planned to get a good night's sleep. After being released from prison, his tense nerves relaxed, and his desire flared up. Unfortunately, Lin Wan was not there, and there was no one to help him relieve his lust. He was so angry that he couldn't help but pound the bed hard.
Although he could solve the problem himself, he still wanted a woman more; he really needed a wife.
A face that looked remarkably like Lin Wan flashed through Chen Dachuan's mind, and a glint of excitement quickly appeared in his slightly narrowed eyes. Not only had she cost him a way to make money, but she had also ruined his wife's life. Well, he'd just have to make up for it with her own body.
Having made up his mind, Chen Dachuan couldn't stay in bed any longer. He quickly got out of bed and went out.
In the kitchen, Chen Xiaoxia was standing on a small stool, pouring freshly rinsed rice into the pot, preparing to cook some more rice. Suddenly, she heard Chen Dachuan making noise outside and was startled, thinking he was going to come and steal their food again. She breathed a sigh of relief when she heard him leave the house. She looked down at her younger sister, who was looking at her expectantly, and comforted her, "Don't worry, we'll have something to eat in a little while."
By this time, it was already dark outside, and a little chilly. Chen Dachuan wrapped his clothes tighter around himself and went straight to the town's guesthouse.
The staff at the guesthouse frowned in disgust when they saw Chen Dachuan, who looked like a beggar, and asked, "What's the matter? This isn't a place where just anyone can stay. Do you have a letter of introduction?"
"I'm looking for someone," Chen Dachuan said, his gaze turning sinister as he looked at the staff member.
"Who are you looking for?" the staff member asked.
“Chen Hao is a soldier,” Chen Dachuan said.
The staff member glanced at the register: "Upstairs, room 201." After saying that, they ignored him.
"Pah, you're so condescending." Chen Dachuan glared at the staff member with resentment, secretly spat, and quickly went upstairs.
Upstairs in room 201, Chen Hao had just finished dinner, filled a kettle with water from the boiler room, and was about to wash up and go to bed when he suddenly heard someone knocking on the door. He immediately became alert and asked, "Who is it?"
"It's me, open the door," Chen Dachuan said impatiently.
Chen Hao frowned, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes, but he still went to open the door: "What is it?"
Chen Dachuan pushed him aside and barged in. He looked around and said, "It's good to have connections. Even when staying in a guesthouse, the room is more spacious than other people's, and the mattress on the bed is thicker."
As he spoke, Chen Dachuan reached out and touched the bed where Chen Hao slept, then plopped down on it, took off his shoes, and sat cross-legged on the bed rubbing his feet.
Seeing a dirty crumb fall onto the perfectly good bed, Chen Hao almost vomited. Luckily, there was more than one bed in the room. He quickly grabbed the clothes and luggage bag that he had left on the bed, put them on another bed, sat down, and looked coldly at Chen Dachuan, asking, "What exactly do you want?"
"I don't want to stay here anymore. I want to move to another place. Can you arrange that for me?" Chen Dachuan said.
Chen Hao's eyes flickered, and he asked, "Where do you want to move to?"
Chen Dachuan thought for a moment and said, "Let's go south. I've heard Haishi is nice."
Chen Hao frowned and said, "It won't be easy for you to move there."
Chen Dachuan rolled his eyes at him and said, "If it were easy, why would I be asking you? Just tell me if you'll do it or not. If you don't agree, don't blame me..."
Chen Hao said with a stern face, "Okay, but give me some time."
Chen Dachuan knew this wouldn't be quick, so he nodded and said, "Okay, I'll give you a month."
"Are you alone, or..." Chen Hao asked.
"Of course, it's my wife and kids together," Chen Dachuan chuckled.
"Wife?" Chen Hao looked at Chen Dachuan, a thoughtful look in his eyes. "Where did you get a wife from now?"
“Just marry another one, right? Besides, I can’t stay here any longer. I’m planning to sell the house and go back to my hometown. Once you’ve taken care of everything, just let them know,” Chen Dachuan said.
Chen Hao nodded: "Okay."
After finishing his business, Chen Dachuan lay down on the bed and said, "This bed is really comfortable to sleep in." Then, after a short while, he fell asleep and started snoring.
Chen Hao: "..."
We couldn't just throw the person out, thankfully there was another bed.
Chen Hao quickly turned off the light and went to sleep.
Chen Dachuan woke up the next day.
He had just opened his eyes and saw the bright sun outside the window when he immediately sat up in bed: "What the hell did I fall asleep here?" He had originally planned to come and see Chen Hao, and then take advantage of the darkness to go to Xiaogaozhuang to do some business. Fortunately, he had been relatively free recently and had plenty of time, so he didn't mind taking a little more time.
In the next bed, Chen Hao was already up, but he wasn't there; no one knew where he had gone. His blanket was folded into a neat square and placed on the bed, while his clothes and luggage bag were scattered on the bed.
Chen Dachuan glanced at Chen Hao's luggage bag, his eyes flashing. He jumped off the bed barefoot, opened Chen Hao's luggage bag, took out a whole set of Chen Hao's change of clothes, changed into them, and then put on Chen Hao's military uniform. He was unusually dressed in a neat and tidy outfit, and left triumphantly and swaggeringly.
No sooner had Chen Dachuan left than Chen Hao returned. He had only gone to the bathroom, but when he came back, he found the room in a complete mess. Chen Dachuan's dirty clothes were scattered all over the floor, and when he saw the pitch-black underwear, his face turned black, and he immediately turned around and chased after him.
Chen Dachuan had just passed by the front desk when he saw the staff member sleeping on the table—the same one who had looked down on him yesterday. He cracked his throat and spat a glob of phlegm right onto the staff member's face before running away.
Half asleep, the staff member felt a cool sensation on his face and wiped it off. When he saw what was on his hand, he almost threw up his dinner from the night before and jumped up: "What kind of bastard did this?"
Chen Hao was just coming downstairs when a staff member rushed out and grabbed him, demanding, "Did you do this?"
"What?" Chen Hao looked completely bewildered.
"Don't play dumb with me. You were the one who just passed by here. If you don't explain yourself clearly, we'll go to the Public Security Bureau and settle this matter properly!" The staff member grabbed Chen Hao and said angrily.
"I don't know what you're talking about. You'd better not bother me. I have important things to do," Chen Hao said with a straight face.
"I don't care what you need to do, you're not allowed to leave until you explain yourself clearly." The staff member persisted.
As the two were struggling, two men in police uniforms rushed in from outside, looked at Chen Hao with serious expressions, and asked, "What happened?"
"Chen Dachuan just took my military uniform and I don't know where he went or what he's up to," Chen Hao said.
The two police officers' expressions tightened. They had indeed just seen a man in military uniform leave, but they hadn't seen his face clearly and assumed it was Chen Hao, so they hadn't paid any attention.
The two exchanged a glance, then immediately turned and chased after him.
The staff, realizing something was wrong, were bewildered: "What happened?"
