Chapter 260 Find Your Uncle

Xing Zhaozhao breathed a sigh of relief as soon as she heard the voice. Thankfully, she hadn't dialed the wrong number.

A kind smile immediately appeared on her face: "Jiaping? I'm your aunt."

The person who answered the phone was none other than her young nephew, Xing Jiaping.

Xiao Jiaping on the other end of the phone was overjoyed: "Auntie? Is that Aunt Zhaozhao?"

“That’s right, it’s Aunt Zhao Zhao.” Xing Zhao Zhao said with a smile.

Xiao Jiaping immediately called out, "Brother, brother, Auntie is calling!"

Another little one's voice came through the phone shortly after: "Auntie? Which auntie?"

“Aunt Zhao Zhao,” Xiao Jiaping said.

A series of hurried footsteps approached from afar.

"Give me the phone." As he spoke, a different person answered the phone, and Xiao Jiashu's voice came through loudly, "Auntie."

"Yes, it's me," Xing Zhaozhao replied with a smile.

"Where are Dafei and Xiaoyu? Can we let them answer the phone?" Xiaojia asked impatiently.

“Dafei and Xiaoyu are both at home, they didn’t come out with me, so they can’t answer the phone,” Xing Zhaozhao said.

"Oh." Xiao Jiashu couldn't help but feel disappointed, then asked, "Did they receive the gifts I asked my uncle to send?"

“We received them, and we really like them. They’ve also prepared gifts for you,” Xing Zhaozhao said.

"Really?" Little Jia Shu perked up again and asked, "What is it?"

"I'll keep it a secret for now. I'll send it to you in Beijing in a couple of days," Xing Zhaozhao said, then asked, "By the way, do you know your home address?"

"I know." Xiao Jiashu told Xing Zhaozhao his home address.

Xing Zhaozhao repeated it again, confirmed with Xiao Jiashu that it was correct, and then wrote it down.

"By the way, Jiashu, is your uncle home?" Xing Zhaozhao then asked.

“Yes, I am,” Xiao Jiashu said.

“My aunt needs to see him. Could you go and call him for her?” Xing Zhaozhao asked.

“Okay.” Just as Xiao Jiashu agreed, Chen Wei’s stern voice suddenly came from the side: “Jiashu, Jiaping, what are you doing? Don’t play with your phones. If someone is looking for Grandpa and Uncle, it will cause trouble.”

“It’s Auntie’s call,” Xiao Jiashu said.

"Aunt? Which aunt?" Chen Wei asked, puzzled.

“Aunt Zhao Zhao said she needs to talk to Uncle.” Xiao Jiashu said.

"Xing Zhaozhao? What could she possibly want from your uncle? Give me the phone." As he spoke, the person on the other end of the line changed again.

"Xing Zhaozhao?" Chen Wei called out, her voice cold and distant.

"It's me." Xing Zhaozhao's voice also turned cold.

"How did you get my home phone number?" Chen Wei asked.

“Your brother gave it to me,” Xing Zhaozhao said.

"What do you want with my brother?" Chen Wei asked.

“This is between your brother and me. Just call your brother over,” Xing Zhaozhao said.

"My brother isn't here," Chen Wei said irritably, seemingly about to hang up, but apparently didn't have time.

"Who said I wasn't here?" Chen Hao's voice suddenly rang out.

"Brother?" Chen Wei's voice was somewhat panicked. "So you're home. I thought you weren't here."

"Really? Even Xiao Jiaping knows where to find me, how could you not?" Chen Hao bluntly exposed her lie. "I'll explain this to you later. Give me the phone number first."

"Oh," Chen Wei replied, looking quite reluctant.

The person on the other end of the phone had changed again. Before they could even speak, they could vaguely hear Chen Wei scolding the two younger children: "You two, come here right now. Why are you bothering your uncle?"

Xiao Jiashu and Xiao Jiaping both felt a little wronged: "Auntie said she wanted to find Uncle..."

"Is your aunt more important, or your mother? Should you listen to your aunt or your mother?" Chen Wei said irritably.

"I'm still here, why are you scolding them?" Chen Hao couldn't help but say. "They asked me to answer the phone, what's wrong with that? Chen Wei, what's wrong with you? This is your sister-in-law, not your enemy."

"What do you know? I'm not talking to you anymore." Chen Wei said, looking aggrieved, and then ran away.

The two little ones were still there, chattering away to Chen Hao, but Xing Zhaozhao couldn't hear what they were saying over the phone.

After calming the two younger ones down, Chen Hao complained to Xing Zhaozhao, "Women's minds are really hard to fathom."

“That’s your sister, not me.” Xing Zhaozhao refused to be associated with Chen Wei without hesitation.

"Okay, okay, okay, let's not talk about her anymore. What did you want to see me about?" Chen Hao asked.

"Do you have Zhang Gong's contact information?" Xing Zhaozhao asked.

"No. What's wrong?" Chen Hao asked.

Xing Zhaozhao's heart sank. She had been too optimistic before, thinking that contacting Chen Hao would allow her to get in touch with Public Security Bureau Chief Zhang, but it turned out that it still wouldn't work.

"Hello?" Chen Hao waited for a while, but when he didn't see any response from Xing Zhaozhao, he called out again.

Xing Zhaozhao came to her senses and told Chen Hao about Ling Yongde's matter.

Chen Hao's voice immediately turned serious: "The ones who slipped through the net before."

“I guess so,” Xing Zhaozhao said.

“Although I don’t have Brother Zhang’s contact information, I should be able to get in touch with him for you. Where did you make the call? The post office?” Chen Hao asked.

“Mm,” Xing Zhaozhao replied.

"Wait there for a bit, I'll call you back later," Chen Hao said.

"Okay." Xing Zhaozhao replied and hung up the phone, waiting anxiously beside him.

After waiting for almost half an hour, an hour that felt like an eternity, I finally received a call back from Chen Hao.

“I’ve already notified them, and they’ll be gathering their men to arrest him immediately. By the way, don’t you have another witness? Have him wait in Qingxi Town to meet up with us,” Chen Hao said.

“I know,” Xing Zhaozhao said seriously.

"You owe me another favor," Chen Hao said.

Xing Zhaozhao: "..." I was actually going to thank him...

Xing Zhaozhao snorted and hung up the phone.

Chen Hao smiled, not caring at all. He put down the phone and went to find Chen Wei with a serious face: "I want to have a serious talk with you, Weiwei..."

After leaving the post office, Xing Zhaozhao went back to the black market and told Zheng Ping'an and the others about contacting Zhang Gong'an. She told them to stick to the planned operation before she felt relieved and went home.

Ah Wen followed her at a distance until they reached Xiao Gao Zhuang...

Around noon, Lao Gou was drinking alone at home with a few of his men when he suddenly heard someone banging on the door.

The men immediately tensed up and became alert.

"Who?" Old Gou asked as he walked out.

“It’s me, Wen,” Wen said from outside.

Old Gou's eyes lit up, and he quickly opened the door.

As soon as Awen entered the door, he went straight to the kitchen, scooped a ladle of water from the water tank, and drank it down until he was half full.

"How is it? Have you found out everything?" Old Gou asked impatiently.

Awen nodded smugly. Twenty yuan was his for the taking.
