Chapter 7 This fairy sister is a bit rustic

Xing Zhaozhao was stunned when she saw the scene outside the door.

here it is……

She turned to look at the cellar behind her, then back at the door...

It was still her family's cellar, but half of it had collapsed, leaving a large hole. The collapsed soil and stones filled half of the cellar, and wild grass had sprung up from it, as if many years had passed.

Xing Zhaozhao suddenly realized something, and her heart skipped a beat.

She hesitated for a moment, then stepped through the door and onto the floor of the cellar opposite.

It's true.

She hesitated for a moment, then walked over.

I turned around and looked behind me; the door was still there.

She felt relieved for the time being, glanced at the opening in the cellar, and climbed up the collapsed slope.

Outside the cellar, their newly moved-in home had completely collapsed, with piles of various sizes of rubble and overgrown weeds growing in the middle. The surrounding woods, however, remained largely intact.

Where exactly is this place...?

Xing Zhaozhao heard her heart pounding in her chest.

The home is gone, but what about the village?

Xing Zhaozhao quickly climbed over the collapsed pile of stones and headed down the mountain towards the village, following the mountain path she knew well.

This mountain path seems to have been unused for a long time, overgrown with weeds, but fortunately the path is still faintly visible.

However, Xing Zhaozhao suddenly stopped after walking a short distance.

There's no road ahead.

Instead, a huge reservoir was built.

The village is gone.

Where exactly is this?

Why does everything seem so familiar yet so strange?

Xing Zhaozhao looked at the shimmering water in front of her and felt a sudden sense of unease.

"I see a pig, Uncle, it's right ahead."

"Uncle, shoot! Shoot! The wild boar is coming!"

"Oh no, a wild boar is chasing me..."

"Uncle, help! I can't run anymore, I don't want to die, waaaaah..."

Just then, Xing Zhaozhao suddenly heard a child crying from the woods behind her.

Her face darkened, and she immediately turned around and ran towards the direction from which the sound came.

When Gao Lianzhou heard that wild boars were rampant in the mountains of his hometown and had almost injured people several times, his uncle Gao Yang planned to lead a group of people into the mountains to hunt wild boars. He immediately took advantage of the weekend to fly back and excitedly came along.

Although it wasn't Gao Lianzhou's first time returning to her hometown or going into the mountains, it was her first time facing those burly creatures and hunting them. Even though she wasn't assigned any weapons except a hiking stick because of her young age, she couldn't help but feel excited.

He followed closely behind his uncle, asking questions every two steps.

"Uncle, where's the pig?"

"Where's the pig, Uncle?"

Gao Yang walked cautiously through the woods, holding a powerful composite crossbow in his hand, keeping it alert and ready at any moment.

Listening to his nephew following behind him making a constant racket, his temples throbbed involuntarily.

Gao Yang used to hunt abroad frequently and was quite skilled at it. Now that he was in China, although he couldn't use a gun, the power of his composite crossbow was no less than that of a gun. The others who came with him were also skilled hunters, so dealing with a few wild boars shouldn't be a problem. He thought that when his nephew Gao Lianzhou insisted on coming along, he didn't refuse, thinking that there was no problem with him coming to see for himself.

I didn't expect this kid to be so noisy.

"Shut up, or the wild boar will run away." Gao Yang turned and glared at him, scolding him in a low voice.

Gao Lianzhou immediately shut her mouth and made a zipping gesture to indicate, "Okay, I'll shut up."

Gao Yang turned around and continued forward.

Suddenly, Gao Lianzhou's voice rang out again from behind: "Uncle, pig!"

Gao Yang: "..."

Gao Yang turned his head again speechlessly: "Didn't I tell you to shut up?"

Gao Lianzhou pointed excitedly ahead: "I see a pig, Uncle, it's right in front of me."

Gao Yang's eyes lit up, and he immediately looked in the direction the man was pointing.

Sure enough, a large pig of unknown sex was slowly walking towards them with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 piglets.

He immediately contacted the others scattered on both flanks: "Wild boars spotted at ten o'clock, one large and eight small."

After saying that, he turned to look at Gao Lianzhou who was following behind him: "It's too dangerous ahead. You stay here and wait. Don't move around."

Gao Lianzhou saw the huge wild boar, which looked like a small mountain, from afar and was a little scared. She nodded and stayed where she was.

Just as Gao Yang and his men surrounded the boar, a "whoosh" sounded. It was unclear who made the first move, but a crossbow bolt pierced the air and struck the boar squarely in the forehead. Unfortunately, the boar did not die; instead, it pawed at Gao Yang and his men and charged. Gao Lianzhou panicked and shouted, "Uncle, shoot! Shoot! The boar is coming!"

With a few more "whoosh" sounds, several more crossbow bolts landed on the wild boar's forehead, but they still couldn't bring it down. The wild boar continued its rampage forward.

Gao Lianzhou had been standing far away watching the show, but as he watched, he realized something was wrong. The wild boar, which had been running, suddenly changed direction and charged towards him.

Gao Lianzhou: "??!!"

"Oh no, a wild boar is chasing me..." he exclaimed, immediately turning and running away.

Unfortunately, the panting sounds behind them only grew closer.

Gao Lianzhou was panting heavily, feeling that she was about to run out of strength. She cried out in desperation, "Uncle, help me! I can't run anymore! I don't want to die! Waaah..."

Not far behind him, Gao Yang was also getting anxious.

His older brother only has this one son. If anything happens to him, he'll definitely tear him apart.

He fired several arrows at the wild boar's rear end, but to no avail.

As the wild boar drew ever closer to Gao Lianzhou, he felt a sudden dizziness and cried out in a hoarse voice, "Lianzhou..."

Just then, a petite figure suddenly darted out from the bushes and stood between Gao Lianzhou and the wild boar, then suddenly punched the wild boar in the forehead.

With a loud "boom," the wild boar, which had been charging fiercely just moments before, suddenly stopped. Its massive body slumped to the side and crashed to the ground, bright red blood flowing from its mouth. It was dead.

The moment Gao Yang saw the wild boar about to catch up with Gao Lianzhou, his legs went weak, and he stumbled forward, almost falling. Seeing this, he paused for a moment, then quickly breathed a sigh of relief, scrambled to his feet, and staggered over: "Lianzhou..."

Gao Lianzhou slumped to the ground, looking up at the girl who had suddenly appeared before him and blocked the wild boar for him. He was stunned for a moment, then suddenly burst into tears and hugged her leg: "Fairy sister..."

Xing Zhaozhao: "??"

Gao Yang ran over and looked at the "fairy sister" who was being hugged by Gao Lianzhou. Despite being beautiful, she was dressed in a very outdated style: "..."

This fairy-like lady seems to be dressed a bit unfashionably...
