The three men looked unfamiliar; they must be from other villages nearby.
Xing Zhaozhao initially didn't want to pay attention to it; she had her own child to protect.
Suddenly, one of the three men tripped and fell.
The wild boar's long snout with its tusks was about to poke at it.
Xing Zhaozhao narrowed her eyes slightly, unable to bear it any longer. She quickly untied the cloth straps binding her body and tossed Xiao Hongling to Fu Lan: "Xiao Lan, keep an eye on Xiao Hongling for me."
Fu Lan was still terrified when she saw the wild boar. Suddenly, she saw Xing Zhaozhao throw something over and instinctively reached out to catch it. When she saw the chubby baby in her arms, her heart almost jumped out of her throat.
Little Hongling stared at Fu Lan with her big, bright eyes, not at all afraid, but rather finding it very amusing. She babbled as if she wanted Fu Lan to do it again.
Fu Lan looked helpless. She didn't know how.
"Ouch, watch out!"
Hearing Fu Hong exclaim in surprise, Fu Lan looked up in astonishment and saw that Xing Zhaozhao had somehow run up to the wild boar. She gasped in shock, and before she could finish, Xing Zhaozhao punched the wild boar right in the center of its forehead.
With a loud "bang," like a clap of thunder, the wild boar fell silent for a moment, then its massive body swayed to the side and crashed to the ground.
The surroundings fell silent instantly.
After a brief silence, the three little ones were the first to burst into cheers.
Hongyu and Hongfei both knew that their mother could fight wild boars, but this was the first time they had seen it with their own eyes, and they immediately pounced on her, saying, "Mom is so amazing!"
Xiao Qin looked at Xing Zhaozhao with sparkling eyes: "Sister Xing is so amazing."
Xing Zhaozhao patted their heads reassuringly, then looked at the man who had just fallen to the ground and asked, "Are you alright?"
The man hadn't recovered from the shock he'd just experienced, and he stared at Xing Zhaozhao with a somewhat dazed expression.
The other two men came over, pulled the man up from the ground, and then looked at the one who seemed to be in charge and thanked Xing Zhaozhao with a smile, saying, "Thank you, comrade. If it weren't for you, my brother would probably be dead."
Xing Zhaozhao shook her head dismissively and said, "It's nothing, just a small favor. Besides, I'm afraid this big guy will hurt my children."
The man quickly sized up Xing Zhaozhao and her group, his eyes flashing, and asked, "Are you from Xiaogao Village?"
Xing Zhaozhao looked at him in surprise: "How did you know?"
The man smiled and said, "The only people who will come to this mountain are those from your Xiaogaozhuang village and those from the nearby Liujia village."
Xing Zhaozhao raised an eyebrow and asked, "So, you're from Liu Family Village?"
The man smiled, neither confirming nor denying, but the people beside him immediately became wary when they looked at Xing Zhaozhao.
Xing Zhaozhao's heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively shielded the three children behind her.
The man glared at the person next to him, then smiled at Xing Zhaozhao and said, "That's right, we're all from Liujia Village. You saved my brother's life, so I owe you a favor. If you ever need my help in the future, you can come to Liujia Village to find me. My name is Liu Feiyue. You can also find my two brothers, Erxi and Sanchang."
"Then there's no need." Xing Zhaozhao didn't want to have any more contact with this person and declined directly.
"Then forget it." Liu Feiyue didn't stand on ceremony with her. He pointed in the direction they had just come from and said, "By the way, this big guy's lair is over there. There are a few piglets inside. Consider it our thank-you gift."
"Oh? Then I won't stand on ceremony." Xing Zhaozhao glanced in the direction he was pointing and said.
After Liu Feiyue finished speaking, he and his men were about to leave, but after taking only two steps, he suddenly stopped and turned to stare at Xiao Qinshi.
Xiao Qin frowned as he looked at him.
"What are you going to do?" Xing Zhaozhao asked Liu Feiyue warily.
Liu Feiyue smiled and said, "It's nothing, I just thought this child looked familiar."
As he spoke, he looked at Xiao Qinshi and asked, "Hey, little guy, didn't you go to Old Man Huo's house at the entrance of Liujia Village to collect scrap copper a while ago?"
Upon hearing this, Erxi and Sanchang, who were standing next to Liu Feiyue, immediately turned their sharp gazes straight at Xiao Qinshi.
Even Xing Zhaozhao's heart skipped a beat when she heard this, let alone Xiao Qinshi's. They had found a treasure among the scrap copper Xiao Qinshi had collected before. Could there be something wrong with the origin of that treasure?
Xiao Qin was also nervous, but he didn't show any sign of it on his face. He tilted his head and pretended to think for a moment before saying, "It seems like there is such a thing."
"What about the scrap copper?" Liu Feiyue asked, his gaze fervent as he looked at Xiao Qin.
"Of course it was sent to the recycling center," Xiao Qin said matter-of-factly.
"Which scrap yard?" Liu Feiyue then asked.
“That scrap yard in our Lanyuan Town,” Xiao Qinshi said.
Liu Feiyue looked disappointed, knowing that it was probably hopeless, so he left with his men.
Fu Hong and Fu Lan happened to be carrying Xiao Hongling over.
When Liu Erxi first saw Xiao Hongling in Fu Lan's arms, he thought she was holding a little tiger and cried out in fright, "Oh my god!"
When he realized that the baby in the other person's arms was a big, chubby baby, he was immediately furious and glared at Fu Lan.
Fu Lan quickly picked up Xiao Hongling and ran towards Xing Zhaozhao.
"Why did you go to Liujia Village to collect recyclables?" Xing Zhaozhao asked Xiao Qin.
"I didn't go to Liujia Village on purpose. I met an old man on the way who said he had scrap copper at home and asked if I would buy it, so I went there," Xiao Qinshi explained.
"You're not allowed to go that far anymore," Xing Zhaozhao instructed.
"Understood," Xiao Qin nodded in agreement.
Liu Feiyue overheard this, his eyes darkened, and he quickly led Erxi and Sanchang away.
"Boss, what if they find where we hid our treasure?" Liu Erxi asked worriedly.
"We're so well hidden, how could we be discovered so easily?" Liu Feiyue said nonchalantly, a cold glint in his eyes. "Even if we were discovered, knowing they live in Xiaogaozhuang, are we afraid we won't be able to find them?"
"Then why not now..." Liu Erxi made a throat-slitting gesture.
Liu Feiyue couldn't help but roll his eyes: "Could you beat a woman who could kill a wild boar with one punch?"
Liu Erxi immediately fell silent.
