Chapter 76 Dad Bought It

Back home, Xing Zhaozhao carried Xiao Hongling into the house. Turning around, she found that the two boys who had been following her around were gone, probably off running off somewhere again.

Xing Zhaozhao didn't pay any attention and went about her own business.

A moment later, a series of hurried footsteps came running in from outside.

Xing Zhaozhao turned her head and saw that the two boys who had disappeared earlier had returned, their eyes shining with surprise as they stared at her intently.

"What's wrong?" Xing Zhaozhao asked, puzzled.

The two little ones held the bags they were carrying high and asked Xing Zhaozhao, "Mommy, did you buy these for us over there?"

Xing Zhaozhao looked closely and realized that this was what Gao Mingcheng had bought for them. She had just brought it back from there yesterday.

"You went to the cellar?" she asked.

The two little ones nodded in unison.

When Xing Zhaozhao came back yesterday, Hongyu noticed what she brought back. However, since she had only just returned yesterday, the little guy hadn't had a chance to look at it. Today, he couldn't resist anymore and took his brother on a treasure hunt. Unexpectedly, they actually found some treasure.

Hongyu ran up to Xing Zhaozhao and hugged her tightly: "Mom, you are the best mom in the world."

"Oh?" Xing Zhaozhao raised an eyebrow. "Why haven't you mentioned this before? Did you only find out today?"

Noticing that Hongyu's eyes were fixed on the bags they were carrying, Xing Zhaozhao understood: "Because Mom bought you fun toys, Mom is the best mom in the world?"

Both little ones, with a strong will to survive, shook their heads in unison: "Even if Mom didn't buy toys, she's still the best Mom in the world."

Xing Zhaozhao spread her hands at them: "Then give the toy back to Mom, and Mom will take it back and return it."

The two little ones quickly hid their little hands, which were carrying the bags, behind their backs.

Mom is important, and toys are important too.

Xing Zhaozhao: "..."

Those two heartless brats.

"It's a pity, these toys weren't bought by your mother, they were bought by your father," Xing Zhaozhao said.

Upon hearing the word "Dad," the two little ones' eyes lit up instantly, and they rushed to Xing Zhaozhao, forgetting all about their toys.

Xing Zhaozhao: "..." I'm so jealous.

She couldn't resist pulling both boys into her arms and giving them a good rub.

The two little rascals squealed and cried as they were being rubbed, but they still couldn't wait to ask, "Did Mommy meet Daddy over there?"

Having vented her anger, Xing Zhaozhao released the two brats and nodded, saying, "Yes, the things he brought back this time were bought for you."

Perhaps to make up for his three children, Gao Mingcheng bought them a whole bunch of things to eat, wear, play with, and use.

The two rascals' smiles instantly became incredibly bright.

They nestled in Xing Zhaozhao's arms, looking at her expectantly: "Mommy, when will Daddy come back?"

Xing Zhaozhao's expression froze for a moment, then she quickly smiled gently: "In two more years, Dad will definitely come back."

As long as he is alive, he will.

"Alright, look what Dad bought for you." Xing Zhaozhao said, glancing at the bags the two little ones had struggled to carry.

The two little ones cheered and immediately took out the contents of the bag: two large boxes filled with toys, one a remote-controlled car and the other a remote-controlled airplane.

Xing Zhaozhao frowned as she looked at her.

She wasn't watching closely when Gao Mingcheng bought them, and she never expected him to buy two toys.

"You can only play with it indoors. You absolutely cannot take it outside to play with it, and you can't go out into the yard," Xing Zhaozhao instructed them with a serious expression.

If these things are discovered, we'll be in big trouble.

Such a fun and novel toy couldn't be shown off to friends, which diminished the enjoyment. Fortunately, they knew what was important and that the matter of the door in the cellar was absolutely not to be known to outsiders, so they quickly accepted it.

“Okay.” The two little ones nodded in unison.

As long as it's playable, that's fine.

Hongyu was surprised to find a small box left in the bag. He took it out and handed it to Xing Zhaozhao: "Mom, what's this?"

Xing Zhaozhao looked at it and realized it was the phone Gao Mingcheng had bought for her. She had put the SIM card in and then temporarily put it back in the box, almost forgetting about it.

"This is a phone your dad bought for me," Xing Zhaozhao said, opening the box, taking the phone out, and playing with it.

The two little ones had never seen such a rare thing before. They even forgot about their own toys and came over, asking curiously, "What kind of chicken is a hand chicken? It doesn't look like a chicken at all, so why is it called a chicken?"

Xing Zhaozhao: "..."

I don't know where all these questions come from.

“This machine is not that chicken,” Xing Zhaozhao explained.

"..." The two little ones didn't understand. "How do you play this machine?"

Even without internet access, taking a photo is still no problem.

"Click, click."

Xing Zhaozhao took a series of photos of the three children.

The two little ones saw it and became interested, vying to play with it.

Since they rarely had anything interesting to play with, Xing Zhaozhao let them have their way, only instructing them, "When you're done playing, help Mom put it back in the box, and be careful not to drop it."

"Okay," the two little ones quickly replied.

Xing Zhaozhao ignored them and went about her own business.

Hongfei played for a while and then left to help Xing Zhaozhao with her work.

Hongyu was the only one left in the room. He was holding his phone, taking pictures of his sister every now and then, and taking a group photo with her every now and then.

Suddenly, the screen went black.

This had happened before, but Hongyu wasn't afraid. He tapped and pressed the screen with his fingers, trying to make it light up again.

However, this time the screen remained black and never lit up again.

Sweat began to bead on Hongyu's forehead.

Oh no, it seems he's ruined Mom's phone.

He looked around in fear, then shoved the blackened phone into the stove hole to destroy the evidence.
