Chapter 808: The Alarm Sounds

Chapter 808: The Alarm Sounds

The giant snake swam to the shore, slightly raised its head, and the inflatable boat flew directly onto land.

With a loud "bang!", everyone cried out in pain, feeling dizzy and disoriented.

"This snake is a bit too rough! Ouch, my butt!" Bai Wuwen stood up, rubbing his butt as he turned his head.

"Ouch!" Bai Wuwen staggered back several steps!

"What's the panic! Stand still!"

With his lower back blocked, Bai Wuwen finally managed to stand firm.

Turning back to look at the person who had come, Bai Wuwen cupped his hands and said, "Elder!" After saying that, he turned to look at the large snake that had frightened him into a panic not far away.

He just turned his head and there was this huge snake with its enormous face right in front of him, spitting out apricots. It was terrifying!

Seeing that the human was quite frightened, the giant snake blinked, then turned to look at Gu Yin, nodded in acknowledgment, and swam towards the bottom of the lake.

"Why do I feel like that giant snake knows you? Is it just my imagination?" The commander happened to be next to Gu Yin. From the moment the giant snake didn't touch them to the moment it put them on the shore, and its subsequent docile behavior, he already had doubts in his mind. In addition, the giant snake just nodded in this direction. If it didn't know Gu Yin, could it also know him, the person that even dogs would run away from?

Gu Yin: "...It must be that I have something she wants, which I obtained from the Great White Mountain." Later, she needs to come out and give the giant snake the elixir, so someone has to help her. The Chief is perfect; he knows about the Great White Mountain and has the authority, making him suitable.

Chief 101 did know about the Dabai Mountain incident. He was the one who approved Gu Yin and Cheng Dong's trip there. He knew about the special discoveries made there, but he didn't know the specifics and couldn't ask any more questions.

"It seems to be intelligent? You can communicate with it?" the leader asked curiously.

Gu Yin nodded upon hearing this: "She does have intelligence, doesn't harm people, and can communicate in a simple way. After we go back, I need to prepare what she needs. I'll also have to come out again. She needs to undergo tribulation. Should our base make some preparations?"

After all, whether in TV shows or novels, the scenes of tribulation are nothing short of earth-shattering!

Upon hearing this, the leader's expression tightened: "Tribulation? According to ancient records, snakes, pythons, boa constrictors, jiaos, and dragons... its length and consciousness are clearly already on the verge of becoming jiaos. Wouldn't it become a jiao-long after completing the tribulation? And the next step is to become a dragon?!"

Gu Yin really didn't know any of this, and looked at 001 upon hearing this.

001 nodded: "That's exactly what he said."

"She said she was suppressing the spiritual power in her body, and there wasn't enough spiritual energy on Earth to support her in overcoming the tribulation. Once she did, there would be widespread suffering, and she didn't want to see such a scene. But when she was in the lake, she smelled the scent of something I brought from the Great White Mountain and wanted to ask about the situation. I reached an agreement with her."

Upon seeing that Elder Bai and the others had arrived, the leader nodded and said, "This matter is of great importance. Let's go back to the base for a meeting. Let's go."

Crossing the lake would normally require climbing a snow-capped mountain, but Elder Bai and his group received an urgent message and used equipment from the base to come over, so they don't need to climb the snow-capped mountain this time.

Looking at the silver flying machine in front of her that resembled a bird, Gu Yin was a little stunned. How come this thing looked a bit like the flying machines she had seen online in her later life?! Its flat body looked like a sheet of iron from a distance, but it was huge up close. Its silver-gray appearance exuded solemnity. Gu Yin was truly shocked!

"Isn't this a newly built aircraft? How come it's already out in operation? Is it ready for use?" The commander asked, looking at the open hatch.

Elder Bai sighed upon hearing this: "We just received a Level 1 emergency call from Wuwen. There's no other way but to use this. It's faster and covers a shorter distance. The experts said it'll have to do for now. Saving lives is the priority! Everything else is minor!"

After speaking, he looked at Gu Yin, who was standing next to him in shock, and smiled, "How's the new comrade?" He nodded toward the aircraft.

Gu Yin gave a thumbs up: "Cool!"

Elder Bai puffed out his chest upon hearing this: "Absolutely! Let's go in and take a look!"

The group stood on the deck extending from the cabin, and without them moving, the deck slowly retracted into them.

Looking at the scene inside the cabin, which resembled something out of a science fiction movie, Gu Yin was once again awestruck!

"Alarm! Alarm! Unidentified substance detected inside the cabin. Activate Level 1 alert! Alarm! Alarm!"
