Chapter 184 Just Having a Meal
Chu Yan paused for a moment before speaking first: "The summer matter may not be resolved until tonight. I called you because my housekeeper brought me some food. It was all quite appetizing, and she brought a lot, which I couldn't finish by myself. You're suffering from summer heat, right? The dishes my housekeeper made are just right for you. Chu Yan didn't expect her to ask this, and coughed lightly: "You were on stage at the English speech contest at the cultural center."

"So, the coffee in S City, and the fountain pens in our city's bookstore, are they all yours?"

Chu Yan lived on the second floor of Building 3. When Gu Yin went up, she finally understood why nothing had happened. There were six rooms on this floor, which was square with all the windows open. The rooms were so close together that the soundproofing was poor, and they could clearly see what was happening on the other side. The kitchen in the middle was not open-plan but open-air. When they arrived, someone was cooking. Gu Yin recognized one of them; it was their homeroom teacher, Wang Xiaoli.
When Wang Xiaoli saw her coming, she was surprised: "Gu Yin, what brings you here?" Then she looked at Chu Yan: "What's going on here?"
Chu Yan opened the door without closing it, leaving it open, and looked at Wang Xiaoli: "Ayin is suffering from summer heat. Her family made a meal for her, and I asked her to come over and eat. Teacher Wang, would you like to join us?"
Wang Xiaoli shook her head: "I'm making this right now! Summer heat is really making me feel unwell, so you guys eat first! After you finish eating, go back and rest early, you have class tonight!"
Gu Yin nodded: "Understood, teacher."
After saying that, he followed Chu Yan into the house.
The layout here is actually the same as their dormitory, the only difference is the amount of stuff. One room is for four people, and the other is for a single person. The room is very clean, and the other person doesn't have much stuff, so it looks a bit spacious.
"Oh, you have a computer here? Are computers allowed at our school?" Gu Yin asked with delight when she saw the computer on the table.

Gu Yin regretted not getting a separate dormitory room; having a computer would have made many things much more convenient.
"Eat first. If you want to play on the computer later, you can play for a while before you leave."
Gu Yin sat down, looking at the dishes that looked and smelled delicious, and felt a little expectant.

Chu Yan saw her eyes light up and knew it suited her taste.
"It's delicious! Sweet and sour! Very refreshing! Much better than what you buy on the street!" Gu Yin took a few more sips before trying the other dishes.
To be honest, these dishes look simple and many people can make them, but everyone's cooking skills are different, and the taste is also different. Gu Yin has eaten sweet and sour pork ribs many times, and they are always very greasy or sour that they make your teeth ache. She has never liked them. But today's dish is just right! It's not greasy or too sour! It goes very well with rice!
