Chapter 487 The Chicken Has Arrived!

Chapter 487 The Chicken Has Arrived!

As soon as I arrived at the gate, I saw a military green truck parked in the open space in front of the gate.

Gu Yin got out of the car and walked to the car door, but didn't see anyone. Seeing that the gate was open, she figured the person had gone inside.

When they reached the archway, they saw Lan Yan drinking tea with Gu Qinglang.

"Instructor Lan, what brings you here?"

Lan Yan turned her head and smiled, "It's an arrangement from above. After delivering that thing, I'll be going on a mission, and my vacation will be over."

Gu Yin nodded and looked at Gu Qinglang: "Dad, are Uncle and Grandma home?"

Gu Qinglang shook his head: "Everyone's busy, what's wrong?"

Gu Yin glanced at Lan Yan, who was leisurely drinking tea, and touched her nose: "Well, my senior brother and I did an experiment in the lab, and the experiment recognized people and insisted on following me. The higher-ups had no choice but to send the experiment to our home."

Gu Qinglang nodded: "Sure, what is it?"

"Two chickens."

Gu Qinglang wondered if he had misheard: "Chicken?"

Gu Yin nodded.

Gu Qinglang: "...Sent to our house, so we can eat it?"

"Pfft! Cough cough cough!" Lan Yan spat out the tea he hadn't swallowed yet.

Gu Yin glanced at him and, seeing that he was trying to suppress a laugh, had no choice but to present the tray.

Gu Qinglang was stunned after hearing Gu Yin's words.

"A chicken the size of a pig? A chicken that can understand human speech? Ah Yin, have you been watching too many TV dramas? Look at what you're saying!"

Gu Yin: "...If you don't believe me, let's drive the car in."

After the side door opened, Lan Yan drove the car into the garage. Gu Qinglang pointed at the car and asked, "Is that chicken, which looks like a pig, here?"

Gu Yin: "..." Why do I feel like you're swearing at me?

Blue Flame nodded: "Shall we open it here?"

"Go ahead and open it. I'll have them wait in the back garden later."

Gu Qinglang: "..." Look at what she said! I'll ask Auntie to stew some pig brains later.

When the car's back door was opened, Gu Qinglang was so frightened by what he saw inside that he grabbed Gu Yin and quickly took several steps back!

"This, this is definitely not a fairy!?!"

The light entered the car, and the two chickens recognized it. After hearing Gu Qinglang's words, the rooster started clucking in his direction.

Gu Yin quickly reassured Gu Qinglang, "No! This is a normal chicken! It's just that we've raised it a bit bigger! Don't worry!"

Gu Qinglang's face was expressionless: "You're saying this is a normal chicken? Just a little bigger? Are you telling the truth?"

Gu Yin coughed twice, ignoring him, and walked to the car. She looked at the two nemesis and said, "Get down. From now on, you'll stay in my house. You can't go out, you can't scare people, and you're not allowed to peck people. If you understand, then get down."

The rooster glanced at Gu Yin with its golden eyes, then jumped off the car, followed by the hen.

It seemed like it had been a long time since the hen had seen Gu Yin. She took two steps to Gu Yin's side, stretched out her wings, and patted her.

Gu Qinglang: "..." Disillusionment, please.

In the pavilion, Gu Qinglang looked at the two chickens swimming in the fishpond with a complicated expression: "Pig...can chickens swim?"

Gu Yin had no idea that these two actually possessed this ability.

"Perhaps they have mutated?!"

Lan Yan laughed and said, "Uncle, just think of them as a combination of a chicken and an eagle!"

Gu Qinglang thought for a moment and seemed to find this more acceptable. He looked at the huge wings, paused for a moment, and said, "Can they be eaten? They love to exercise so much, their meat must be very delicious."

Blue Flame: "..." Uncle, isn't your ability to accept things a little too amazing!

Gu Yin: "...Don't eat them, let them guard the house."

Then Lan Yan saw Gu Qinglang's regretful expression!

Out of sight, out of mind!

"Now that they've been delivered, I'll head back first. I'll come back to see them when I get back from my mission!" He then looked at the fishpond: "Cuckoo chickens, cluck chickens, I'm leaving! Eat well, drink well, get fat, lay lots of eggs, and don't get eaten! I'll come back to see you again when I have time!"

"Giggle!"

"Coo coo coo!"

Ripples spread across the water's surface.

After seeing Lan Yan off, Gu Yin went to the kitchen to see if there was anything to feed the two chickens.

The housekeeper was busy preparing afternoon tea in the kitchen when she saw Gu Yin come in and asked with a smile, "What is it you're looking for, Miss?"

Do you have anything to feed the chickens?

The aunt shook her head: "No, the old lady used to grow some vegetables and raise a few chickens in the back garden. She stopped raising them after the chickens were all eaten. But I've been planting on that plot of land. Are you planning to raise chickens, Miss? You can use the vegetable leaves from the back garden to feed them."

Gu Yin was stunned for a moment before realizing that the nanny hadn't seen the two chickens yet!

"Auntie, go to the pond and ask my dad if he needs to eat more vegetables to have enough to eat. I'll go check behind the pond."

The aunt nodded, wiped her hands, and left the kitchen.

Gu Yin also went to the back garden. There weren't many vegetables there, only about two acres.

"I don't know if there's enough to eat. If there isn't, they might starve to death! Oh well, let's pick some vegetable leaves first."

When Gu Yin had picked half of the fruit, she saw her aunt walk in looking dazed.

Gu Yin smiled and shook her head: "No, those are pet chickens! The kind that's similar to a puppy! My dad said how many to pick."

The aunt slowly pushed the door open: "...The master said he doesn't know how much he'll eat, but he knows who knows how much of those two chickens they'll eat."

Gu Yin asked in confusion, "Who knows?"

The aunt came out and said, "The chickens know. The master said to let them come and eat by themselves, and they'll know, won't they?"

Gu Yin: "..." It really is the chicken that knows.

When Gu Qinglang arrived, he saw that the once lush vegetable patch was now just bare vegetable roots sticking out on the ground, and the two chickens were still nibbling at the surrounding grass.

"Tsk! This chicken has eaten a lot! Can we afford to raise it?"

Gu Yin looked exasperated: "I'll ask the teachers what they fed these two things before. They can eat way too much!"
