Chapter 567: Heading to the Capital
The next morning, the old lady went to the village chief's house. Last night, when they were drinking and eating at the Gu family's house, the old village chief told them to go to his place to pick up two geese when they were preparing to go to Beijing the next day.
When the old lady and Gu Yin arrived at the old village chief's house, they saw him sitting at the door smoking a pipe. When he saw the two of them, his face turned awkward.
"Hey sis, I drank too much last night and got a bit tipsy, so can I go back on my word?"

"I've already had Asen catch them over at the chicken coop. You can take them away after they're tied up!"
Gu Yin looked at the old village chief: "Old village chief, if you really can't bear to part with it, then we won't take it."
She understands that you develop feelings for someone you've raised for a long time.
“What’s he reluctant to part with? He’s unhappy because the money hasn’t reached his hands yet! So he’s unhappy! So they bought more than a dozen old hens from the village chief's house. When the logistics company's truck arrived, in addition to the geese and chickens, they also brought two sheep. They originally wanted to bring a pig, but Gu Qingming disagreed. They said that they couldn't eat that many pigs when they slaughtered them in Beijing, and they wouldn't taste good if they were frozen for too long. They also said that it would be difficult to process them. So they gave up on that idea.
After the logistics company's truck left, Gu Yin and the others packed up their things and prepared to leave.
Amidst her family's reluctant farewells and joyful well wishes, Li Xiaohua boarded the car.
Luckily, our car is a minivan, otherwise we wouldn't be able to fit everyone.
Once on the street, at the agreed-upon spot, Gu Yin saw Wang Weiwei, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Weiwei! Here she is!!"
Wang Weiwei waved happily, quickly picked up her luggage, and followed her father to the car.
"How did you lose so much weight?!" Gu Yin reached out and pinched Wang Weiwei's arm: "You've lost weight, but you still have some muscle."

Gu Qingming came down to help put the luggage away, and then offered Wang's father a cigarette.

Gu Qingming waved with a smile: "No way! Weiwei is fine, don't worry, I'll make sure to send it back in full! I'll have her video chat with you every day to let you know she's safe!"
After talking for a while, everyone started their car and left.
It was already evening when they returned to Beijing. They knew Gu Yin's family was wealthy, but Wang Weiwei and Li Xiaohua were still stunned when they saw such a magnificent house.
Wang Weiwei looked at the artificial hill and the trees, and exclaimed, "Holy crap, vice class monitor, were your ancestors royalty?! Is this definitely not a royal mansion? None of the ones on TV are as grand as yours!"
Li Xiaohua looked bewildered: "Ayin, your family is really rich!"
Gu Yin smiled and said, "We can watch it slowly later when we have time. My mom and the others have already prepared dinner. Let's go in quickly, I'm starving!"
Upon hearing this, Li Xiaohua and Wang Weiwei looked away, straightened their clothes, and seeing that there was no problem, quickly followed.
Let me tell you, living in a house like this, it would be a disservice to the house if it wasn't even slightly tidy!
To welcome the two of them, Li Mengxin prepared a large table of dishes.
After dinner, Gu Yin led them to the room Li Mengxin had prepared and explained the layout of the house to them, so they wouldn't feel uncomfortable.
"My room is in the back, but I don't stay home much these days because I'm busy with experiments. I'll be going back to the lab early tomorrow morning. You guys can go out with Ahua then. She knows Beijing very well, but she hasn't had time to explore it yet. You two can keep each other company."
Wang Weiwei and Li Xiaohua both nodded, knowing that Gu Yin was busy.
"You go about your business, and come find us when you have time. We'll do our own thing!"
The next morning, Gu Yin returned to her office.
When she arrived at the office, everyone else was already there. Seeing the clean chins of Fang Chongmin and the other two, Gu Yin smiled.
"The boss is back!" Zhao Qingqing was the first to spot Gu Yin and exclaimed in surprise.
Everyone else looked up upon hearing this.
Gu Yin smiled and said, "How have things been? Nothing's happened these past few days, right?"
Fang Chongmin stood up and smiled, "No problem at all, everything is going smoothly! My experiment is almost finished. I've been watching your reaction closely, and as of this morning, those virus cells have stopped reacting! It seems we can move on to the next step!"
Upon hearing this, Gu Yin went to observe the experimental questions and frowned: "It's still too slow. You guys go ahead and do your own things. I'll do a few more experiments."
Upon hearing this, Du Kai stepped forward, pursed his lips, and said, "Boss, we're out of funds. I applied to the higher-ups as you suggested, but the application hasn't come through yet. Without funds, we can't buy the things we need. Our inventory is running low. If this continues, the experiment will have to stop."
