Chapter 16: Never fought!

Lann's question choked the other party. Without waiting for Judd to respond, Lann said loudly:

"I am Lann Lannister Rhaanron, son of Lannister the Lion, Lord of Cintra!"

"You despicable demon hunter, you organized a bandit group to roam my country, massacred the people under my protection, and ambushed my soldiers. Yet you still have the courage to ask me to let you go?"

"Pick up your weapons, if you still consider yourself a man!"

The roar of the young lion echoed far away in the jungle at night.

The soldiers who were groping their way forward in the jungle paused.

Sword and the other three servants looked at each other and said, "I think I understand what the Earl's signal is."

In the camp, Judd was frightened by Lann's declaration of justice. Of course, in this day and age, there are knights with abnormal minds everywhere, and he has seen a lot of them.

A villain like Judd would not suddenly respect him, but he thought that such a noble young man needed the training of the dangers of the continent. He planned to taunt him back out of courtesy. Judd was an experienced warrior, and this was a reasonable psychological tactic before the battle began.

Lane did not give the other party a chance to respond. Before he could finish his words, he kicked up a bunch of charcoal sparks in the campfire with his right foot wearing thick shin guards, and smashed them straight towards Judd.

"Damn it, this is not the way a knight fights!" Judd was furious, not realizing that he was being fooled by the young man in front of him.

The gap in equipment between the two sides was revealed. Facing the sparks and charcoal fire, Judd, who was wearing light armor, retreated repeatedly for fear of being burned, while Lann, who was covered in heavy armor, rushed towards the opponent in the flames, swung his sword and attacked the opponent's vital parts.

Judd was so disturbed that he was exhausted and had many bloody wounds on his body.

The more the fight went on, the more frightened Judd became. Just from the moment the opponent took off his mask, he was sure that the boy opposite him was no more than fifteen or sixteen years old, but he was stronger than a middle-aged man and could even catch up with him.

I am a demon hunter. Even if I study the cat school that emphasizes skill and agility, I am still a demon hunter! How can I be comparable to a teenager in terms of strength?

But Judd was a veteran after all, so when the simplest way of overwhelming others with force didn't work, he changed his mindset. Soon, he used his strength to take several of Lan's blows, which gave him a little space to adjust his breathing and pace, and began to pull the battle into the rhythm of his familiar techniques.

The battle situation immediately reversed.

Lann felt that the swordsman who had been in a panic just now had suddenly turned into a mountain cat with five sharp claws. His body was light and elusive. The long sword in the opponent's hand was like a sharp claw, and he could always knock his sword away from all kinds of unexpected angles and seize the loopholes to bite him.

Lan's momentum suddenly stopped, and after just a few rounds, he was exhausted from parrying.

But Judd's sword was getting faster and faster. After a few rounds, Lann could no longer react to the enemy's attacks and had to selectively use his armor to resist some of the opponent's less lethal attacks.

There were several metallic collision sounds, followed by teeth-grinding tearing sounds. Lann's armor soon had many cuts on it, some of which were even close to the weak joints. The surface iron sheet had been completely torn apart, revealing the inner armor.

Lann gasped and examined himself. His strength was barely up to standard, but his reaction was not fast enough, his swordsmanship was not sophisticated enough, and his armor could only serve as a turtle shell, which even slowed down his reaction.

Of course, if Lann hadn't had the armor, he would have died by now. After just a few breaths of fighting, Lann's problems were exposed. He might be considered a good fighter among mortals, but he was still just a piece of bone that was slightly rough against the extraordinary.

Before Lann could adapt to the opponent's rhythm, the demon hunter's attack changed again. The sword danced like the wind, and the long sword spun around his body like a windmill again.

【Whirling Sword Dance】!

Lan En only felt that the power of the sword was accumulating layer by layer and rushing towards him, as if the sea waves were about to crush him.

Just when he was about to drop his sword and dodge the attack, he felt the strength in his hand loosen.

The increase and decrease of force destroyed Lann's center of gravity in an instant. At this time, he was wide open. If there was a third person present, he could be easily killed.

Lan looked up. The opponent was a human being after all, and he needed to follow basic human mechanics. The multiple changes in sword moves made it impossible for the opponent to swing the sword in pursuit at the first time. He just stretched out his left hand with the last force, and pinched his five fingers into a strange posture.

This seems to be worse than the other party's pursuit.

Seal! Lann reacted instantly.

And the only thing that reacted was his brain.

A small shock wave burst out from the opponent's hand and exploded in Lan's chest at a distance of only two body lengths.

[Alder Seal]: Releases telekinetic force to repel, stun, knock down, or even disarm the opponent.

It was as if a heavy hammer hit him head-on, and Lann, along with his armor, flew three meters off the ground. In an instant, everything in front of him was dark.

Judd also staggered a bit due to the reaction, but that was all.

He only knew this one seal, and he didn't master it well. If it was a veteran in the school who was proficient in this technique, that move would have killed the opponent; if it was a Griffin School, he could have torn the armor apart.

But it was enough, Judd had already won.

This guy wasn't that strong, and his armor wasn't that tough. I guess the reason why I couldn't cut him open with my [Sword Dance] at the beginning was because I was almost exhausted.

Judd breathed a sigh of relief, thinking back on the past few days, it was a roller coaster ride. The joy of finally completing the mission by obtaining the crystal, the double joy of obtaining a large amount of supplies in one go during the day; the shock of finding the old nest had been destroyed after searching for a retreat route, the anxiety of not being able to make up his mind to leave after repeated consideration;

And the anger that filled his heart when he saw the boy in front of him rushing out with burning crystal.

Fortunately, although everything was slightly off track, it could be pulled back. Losing the goods and the subordinates he had trained for many years was nothing. As long as he had the crystal in his hand and got in touch with that great man who was second to none even among warlocks, he would soon be able to make a comeback and live the life he had always pursued.

Looking at Lane groaning and struggling on the ground, Judd was about to step forward to finish him off, but suddenly his hair stood on end and he fell sideways on the spot.

A sharp arrow suddenly rushed out from the darkness, aiming at Judd's head, but he dodged it. Then came the second and third arrows.

The figure of Archer Ace drawing his bow and arrow slowly appeared in the jungle.
