Chapter 262 Dragon Vein Power

"Go on." Li Yi urged calmly.

Li Yi stepped forward and looked at Jack coldly. "Go ahead, tell us everything you know about the power of the dragon vein."

Jack raised his head, his eyes filled with a hint of resentment, but more of helplessness. He knew he had nowhere to escape, and there was no point in hiding it any further.

"Do you know what dragon vein power is?" Jack said slowly, his voice low and hoarse. "It's an ancient and mysterious power hidden deep within the Himalayas in Tibet."

He paused, as if gathering his thoughts. "Legend has it that the power of the dragon veins originates from the heart of the earth, an energy left behind by the dragon race. Thousands of years ago, when the dragons ruled this land, they relied on this very power. They used the power of the dragon veins to alter the terrain, manipulate the weather, and even control the flow of life."

"But why did the dragon clan disappear?" Li Yi asked.

"Because they abused this power," Jack continued. "Legend has it that the dragons' greed and ambition caused the dragon vein's power to run wild, unleashing a massive disaster. Entire civilization collapsed, and the dragon vein's power was sealed deep within the Himalayas."

Qi Yaozu frowned and asked, "Why are you, the American and Western European alien groups, looking for this power?"

Jack smiled bitterly. "Because we believe that the power of the dragon veins can not only enhance our abilities, but also bring us strength beyond common sense. We believe that if we can control the power of the dragon veins, we can gain absolute advantage on a global scale and even reshape the order of the entire world."

He took a deep breath and continued, "We've found the seal of the dragon's power, but the problem is that the seal is extremely strong and filled with deadly traps and tests. Anyone who tries to break in faces great risks. We've sent out multiple expeditions, but they all failed without exception, and many didn't even return alive."

"What is your purpose?" Li Yi stared at Jack, his eyes as sharp as a knife.

"Our superiors hope to break the seal, obtain the dragon's power, and use it to achieve their ambitions," Jack said with a helpless smile. "But I know this is a dead end. Dragon's power is more than just a symbol of strength; it is a tremendous test of the wielder's will and heart. Anyone who attempts to abuse it will ultimately be harmed."

Li Yi approached Jack and said coldly, "Since you know the exact location of the dragon vein power, draw the map."

Jack sighed, realizing he had nowhere to escape. He nodded, accepting the request. Li Yi gestured to a nearby team member to hand Jack a piece of paper and a pen. Jack took the paper and pen and began carefully drawing a map on the paper.

As Jack's pen moved across the paper, a detailed map gradually took shape. Li Yi, Qi Yaozu, and the others stared closely at Jack's hand, observing every detail he drew. Jack explained as he drew:

"This is a hidden valley in the Himalayas, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, a place few people can access."

He marked several key locations on the map. "This road leads to the entrance of the valley, but be careful, there are many natural traps and severe weather conditions here. Our expedition team has encountered many avalanches and surprise attacks here."

Jack then pointed to a mark on the map. "This is where the dragon's power is sealed, hidden within the ruins of an ancient temple. The interior of the temple is filled with various traps and guardians, and many have died trying to enter."

Li Yi carefully studied the map, a plan in mind. He said to Qi Yaozu and the other team members, "We need to be fully prepared. This will be an extremely dangerous mission."

Jack added, "Another thing to note is that the seal isn't just physical; it's an ancient energy barrier. Without a way to break it, no one can get close to the dragon's power."

Li Yi stared at Jack and asked coldly, "How did your alien die there?"

Jack was silent for a moment, as if recalling painful memories. A hint of fear flashed through his eyes, and he whispered, "The seal there isn't just a simple mechanism or trap; it holds an ancient protective power."

"We initially sent out an elite Inhumans team equipped with the most advanced equipment and weapons, but we still suffered a crushing defeat. The place was filled with all kinds of deadly traps. Some were naturally formed, such as avalanches and ice cracks, while others were man-made, such as poison arrows and booby traps."

"What's even more terrifying is that when we approached the seal, a powerful energy barrier appeared, which ordinary attacks could not penetrate. Our mutants tried to use their superpowers to break it, but their powers were rebounded instead, causing serious internal injuries."

Jack's voice gradually faded, as if he had returned to that terrifying moment. "Then, the Guardians appeared. Those Guardians were not like ordinary humans. They possessed extraordinary strength and speed, and could even control the natural elements. When our Inhumans fought them, they were no match. Many were knocked down instantly, and some didn't even have time to react."

"The only time we managed to get close to the seal was through a hidden passage, but the Inhumans there were suddenly attacked by a deadly poison gas. That poison gas can corrode the Inhumans' abilities, quickly weakening their strength and killing them without any preparation."

Li Yi frowned and asked, "Have you found a way to break these traps and seals?"

Jack shook his head. "We've tried everything, but to no avail. Our only hope lies in the legendary ancient secret technique that harnesses the power of dragon veins. Only those who truly understand the secrets of this land can break the seal."

Li Yi pondered for a moment, then said: "It seems that we need to not only rely on our own strength, but also seek local help."

He turned to Qi Yaozu and said, "Contact the relevant people in Tibet and see if we can find some experts who know something about the power of dragon veins."

Qi Yaozu nodded, "I understand. I will arrange it as soon as possible."

Li Yi looked at Jack again, "Thank you for your cooperation. I hope you are telling the truth this time. We will not let these sacrifices go to waste."

Jack smiled bitterly, "I just hope you can succeed, and that the power of the dragon veins won't fall into the hands of those with ill intentions."

Li Yi nodded and left the interrogation room with the map and intelligence, with a clearer goal in mind. He knew that this mission was not just for power, but also to protect the mysterious power and heritage of this ancient land.
