Chapter 5 Burn My Body

The next day, I woke up from the ceiling.

With my back pressed against the ceiling, the first thing I saw was the little girl sleeping parallel to me in the bed.

When I saw this, I felt like the sky was falling.

I actually broke away from the girl's body.

He tried several times to adjust his posture and return to the little girl's body, but was bounced back again and again.

It wasn't until the little girl opened her eyes and met my gaze that I accepted the reality and floated away guiltily.

I don't understand why I possessed the little girl's body, but it was obvious that my action just now was to occupy someone else's body, which is totally unacceptable.

Familiar with the route, I floated to the second bedroom.

Passing through the door, I saw Ji Linting washing my body's face early in the morning, and Qiao Zhixian wearing a mask and trying to persuade me earnestly.

"Lin Ting, don't worry. My sister probably won't wake up because she's angry with us. How about I ask my parents and brother to come and try to persuade her?"

Ji Linting stared at me, who was lying on the bed with a look of grimy grayness, and said hesitantly, "It's been two days. Is it true that she can be resurrected infinitely?"

"Of course it's true. Could it be that my parents also lied to you?"

Qiao Zhixian hugged Ji Linting's neck from behind and continued to lie, "You don't know that she often ran away secretly when she was a child. When she was seven years old, she disappeared for a month and came back covered in blood. My parents were scared, but she turned out to be unharmed."

"My parents were so angry that they beat her together. It was only after I stopped them from getting beaten that they let her go."

"And that time when she pushed me off a cliff, relying on her invincibility, but she was fine and resurrected. Even Ji Xing, who was in her belly at the time, was fine in the end. You know that, too."

She spoke with a look of grievance, acting like a magnanimous sister, and even shed a few tears at the right time, which fell on Ji Linting's neck.

Ji Linting actually listened to her and believed her lies, completely forgetting all the crimes she had committed, including deceiving him into hiring someone to torture and kill me, and letting him disembowel me with his own hands without my knowledge.

It was as if I had really done those unforgivable things and deserved to be brutally killed.

He threw down the towel in his hand and pulled the woman behind him to his front.

He held her waist with one hand and held the face that looked 70% like me with the other hand, looking distressed, "I know you have been wronged since you were a child. It's all because of Qiao Chuyuan who relied on his inability to die and kept playing tricks on you with his life."

I stood aside, watching Qiao Zhixian slander me coldly, and my heart went cold when I saw Ji Linting believing what others said without checking.

It was obvious that when I was seven years old, I fell into the hands of human traffickers in order to protect Qiao Zhixian from being abducted. I was tortured before returning home.

But she said that I took her out to play secretly and sold her to human traffickers for candy. As a result, she cleverly escaped back, but I suffered the consequences and was captured by human traffickers.

Later, when I returned home, she even fabricated this ridiculous lie that I could be resurrected.

But for some reason, her parents and brother all believed her.

I don’t know if it was because I was too young or too frightened at the time, but I really can’t remember what happened during the month I was kidnapped.

I can’t even explain how I was able to come back safely even though my clothes were covered in blood?

So I didn't argue with their view that I couldn't die.

But it was precisely because of this that the whole family started out using the excuse that Qiao Zhixian had a heart disease as an excuse to be biased, and later on became blatantly biased.

Because they think I'm not going to die anyway, so it doesn't matter how they treat me.

When the whole family was traveling and encountered a tsunami, they would abandon me, a young child, without a care in the world, and the four of them would escape.

When there was a fire at home, my parents would not hesitate to throw me off the five-story building first, just to see if I could fall onto the awning and help their other two children escape safely.

Every time I showed any emotion afterwards, they would look cold and selfish, and angrily tell me that I wouldn't die anyway.

Finally, with Qiao Zhixian's sweet and coquettish comfort, she treated me like an unreasonable monster and locked me in the basement.

Even later on, I was brainwashed by their words and thought that I was a monster that would never die.

But it wasn't until Qiao Zhixian deliberately pushed me off the cliff that I lay at the bottom of the cliff feeling the excruciating pain as if my internal organs were shifting, and I recalled her malicious smile as she hung on the tree branch at the edge of the cliff and looked at me falling off the cliff. At that moment, I finally woke up completely.

Some people are born evil. No matter how much you compromise, they will still destroy you by any means necessary.

Just like at this moment, Qiao Zhixian still disguised herself with a gentle appearance and told lies full of loopholes.

But Ji Linting believed her blindly.

But a long time ago, he was not like this.

He used to love me deeply, but when he learned that I fell off the cliff and rushed over to see my broken body with my heart dug out, he didn't believe my family's lies that I could be resurrected. With bloodshot eyes, he held a scalpel and rushed to the ward to remove Qiao Zhixian's heart from her chest.

He cried out at the top of his lungs and was pinned down in the corridor by his fellow doctors, spitting out blood.

Later, he carried my body with a slightly bulging belly on his back and climbed up Lingyuan Mountain, bowing his head with every step, praying to God to really resurrect me.

That day, his knees were covered in blood, and tears of blood flowed from his eyes, winding down along with the heavy rain, stained scarlet.

My soul passed through his body again and again anxiously, but I was helpless.

He called my name over and over again, praying persistently that he would exchange his eternal life from reincarnation for my resurrection.
