What are you looking at?

Zhou Ziqiu remained calm as usual, but his clenched hands betrayed his inner turmoil, clearly indicating that he was afraid Wen Su would see something.

Wen Su smiled and glanced at his hand before shrugging: "No, nothing. I don't know why this person suddenly appeared."

Zhou Ziqiu secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

When Zhou Ziqiu first saw Wen Su disappear near the pond, he panicked for a moment, but then he calmed down and guessed that Wen Su might have fallen into the water.

He didn't know what was beneath the pond, but he knew that if he went down into it, the secret he had been keeping might be exposed. However, if Wen Su encountered an attack or something similar under the pond, and he abandoned Wen Su for the sake of his so-called secret, he would feel even worse than being looked at with terrified eyes by Wen Su.

Anyway, he's gotten used to that kind of look.

So he took a leap and jumped into the water.

He had no idea where the pond was. The water was damp and chilling, and frost had formed on Zhou Ziqiu's face as he was submerged. Fortunately, when he descended into the pond, he found himself still on the shore. He walked around and soon saw Wen Su standing in front of him, with a picture of Xie Xingzhou in front of him.

He didn't know what had happened here before he arrived, so he could only walk over to Wen Su and see his reaction. Luckily, Wen Su didn't see anything else.

Zhou Ziqiu smiled at Wen Su: "There might be something strange here, be careful not to be misled."

Wen Su only smiled and remained silent.

"Where is this?" Zhou Ziqiu changed the subject, took a few steps and looked around, but all he could see was darkness. Moreover, the yin energy in the pool seemed to have dissipated here as well. The air was stagnant and made him feel suffocated. So he tried stepping on the ground a few times.

Unexpectedly, the ground that Wen Su had stepped on several times without any reaction suddenly began to shake, and the originally solid ground abruptly disappeared, leaving only darkness underneath.

"Zhou Ziqiu!" During the fall, Wen Su grabbed Zhou Ziqiu's hand in mid-air. The biting wind made his exposed skin hurt, but he still didn't let go. After being grabbed, Zhou Ziqiu subconsciously grabbed back to prevent the two of them from being separated again.

The feeling of falling was strange; it was as if the two of them had fallen from the sky to the bottom of the water.

Wen Su opened his eyes in the water. Light shone from above them. He looked at Zhou Ziqiu beside him, and Zhou Ziqiu nodded and pointed upwards.

Because the fall was so sudden, neither of them had time to breathe enough oxygen. Fortunately, the water was very buoyant, and both of them were good swimmers. They floated to the surface in just over a minute, their faces emerging from the water as they gasped for air to fill their empty lungs with oxygen.

Wen Su swept the hair that was covering his eyes back with one hand, revealing his extremely aggressive eyebrows and eyes. He then swam to the shore with Zhou Ziqiu and lay on the ground as if he had been reborn.

After such an ordeal, both of them were exhausted and soaked to the bone.

After falling into the water, in order to prevent his body temperature from dropping further, he needed to take off his wet clothes. Wen Su sat up and quickly took off his coat and tied it around his waist, leaving him only wearing a white vest.

The temperature difference between day and night is large at the seaside, and I was afraid of getting cold when I went out at night, so I specially wore a coat.

But when he looked at Zhou Ziqiu and asked him to take off his clothes as well, Zhou Ziqiu refused. He curled up into a ball, his body trembling, and even covered his throat and coughed several times. His wet hair stuck to his face, and his pale face from the cold made him look delicate and fragile.

Even so, Zhou Ziqiu could still say things like "I won't die".

“You’ll be colder dressed like that. Wet clothes absorb heat as the moisture evaporates.” Wen Su was at his wits’ end with the disobedient Zhou Ziqiu. They were both men, so what was there to hide? “Can’t I just ignore you? I’ll start a fire and dry your clothes. You can put them on as soon as they’re dry.”

After saying that, without waiting for Zhou Ziqiu's reply, he turned his back and picked up some branches nearby. However, while he was picking up the branches, he heard a rustling sound behind him. He turned his head slightly and saw Zhou Ziqiu's white, glowing back. He couldn't tell when he was wearing clothes, but after taking them off, he found that Zhou Ziqiu's body had become so thin that his shoulder blades were very prominent. His gaze immediately turned back as if he had been burned. He kept his head down the whole time, and even when he called Zhou Ziqiu over to warm himself by the fire after biting his fingertip to draw the karmic fire talisman and lighting the fire, he turned his eyes to the side.

For the first time, Wen Su hated himself for having such good eyesight, and also hated why the moon in the sky was so bright.

It was so boring to warm himself by the fire that Zhou Ziqiu didn't say anything. He was too embarrassed to speak, so he held a stick over his coat in one hand to warm himself by the fire, while his other hand rummaged around at his waist, trying to pull out his cigarettes from his pocket. He did manage to get the cigarettes, but he also got his hand wet. He cursed his bad luck under his breath and put the water-soaked cigarettes next to the fire, trying to dry them.

When people are bored, they tend to have random thoughts, and their brains will automatically play out images for them. For example, right now, Wen Su's mind is constantly replaying the scene from just now.

"Tsk." Wen Su stood up, interrupting his own reminiscence.

Seeing Wen Su suddenly stand up, Zhou Ziqiu also looked at Wen Su, seemingly wanting to ask him what was wrong. But then he saw Wen Su walking towards him, and his body involuntarily took a step back, covering his body with his clothes, even his neck. But when he saw that Wen Su's gaze was always looking to the side, he loosened his grip on his clothes a little.

"What's wrong?" Zhou Ziqiu asked curiously.

Wen Su didn't answer, but simply handed his coat towards Zhou Ziqiu.

Zhou Ziqiu's shirt was a bit thicker than Wen Su's coat, and he hadn't unfolded his clothes while warming himself by the fire, so Wen Su's coat was now half-dry.

“...Thank you.” Zhou Ziqiu reached out and draped Wen Su’s coat over his shoulders, zipping it up. He could smell the fragrance emanating from Wen Su’s coat again.

Wen Su felt the wooden stick in his hand was lighter, so he threw it aside and took off his vest. It wasn't that he wanted to be a pervert, but he just thought that it would be slower to warm himself by the fire while wearing a vest.

Out of the corner of his eye, Zhou Ziqiu suddenly noticed something on Wen Su's waist, a dark, shapeless mass. He quickly looked up at Wen Su, but Wen Su had already turned around and was facing him, so he could no longer see the shapeless mass. He could only suppress the strange feeling in his heart.

Wen Su did not notice anything unusual about Zhou Ziqiu. He took the clothes from Zhou Ziqiu's hands and started drying them for him. He even tried to smoke the smoke that had been burning for a while, but he immediately coughed several times from the smoke.

Zhou Ziqiu was immediately amused by Wen Su's actions.

Because it was no longer cold, his complexion became a little rosier. When he smiled, his eyes squinted, but you could see the firelight burning in his eyes. Wen Su glanced at him and then looked away, throwing his cigarette into the fire, not intending to smoke anymore.

"Where is this? Have we returned to Yu Nan?" Wen Su looked around and brought up a topic.

Zhou Ziqiu shook his head: "We should be in the underworld. This pond should be the entrance connecting the two worlds."

—“?!”

Wen Su turned around upon hearing the sound, and flung the tree branch he had been casually playing with straight toward the source of the sound. With a loud "thud," the branch was driven an inch into the tree trunk by Wen Su's force.

Beside the tree that had been nailed into the branch was a terrified face; clearly, the sound of the branch snapping had come from him.

Wen Su raised an eyebrow and walked towards the person.

Therefore, he did not see the astonishment on Zhou Ziqiu's face behind him.

In a daze, Wen Su's figure overlapped with someone in his memory, who was just like Wen Su, with a nonchalant smile on his face and the same mastery of martial arts.

"Zhang Yifeng?"

Wen Su's voice brought Zhou Ziqiu back to his senses. He rubbed his face, wondering what he had been thinking about all day. How could Wen Su be him? Although Wen Su was a good person, he and that other person were ultimately two different people.

If Wen Su was carefree and unrestrained, then the man was arrogant and willful.

Wen Su was unaware of the inner turmoil Zhou Ziqiu was experiencing behind him. He only knew that he had seen the face of the person in front of him several times in the past few days—because this person was the missing person in the missing persons case.

When the man saw Wen Su approaching, he nodded timidly.

Wen Su clicked his tongue, took out his waterproof police ID from his pocket and showed it to Zhang Yifeng: "I'm the police officer looking for you."

Zhang Yifeng quickly took the police officer's ID from Wen Su and looked at it by the moonlight. Although he didn't know what the Special Investigation Team meant, he knew that the person in front of him was there to rescue him. The despair and grievances he had felt while trapped here for so many days welled up in his eyes, and he burst into tears.

"Police officers, you've finally arrived! Waaaaah!"

She cried and hugged Wen Su's body.

Wen Su frowned and pushed his head away. At this moment, Zhou Ziqiu also came over and comforted Zhang Yifeng for a long time. Zhang Yifeng finally controlled his tears.

After questioning him, it was learned that he was on the phone with his father that night and, not paying attention to his footing, slipped and fell into the stream. He quickly climbed out, but his phone got wet and turned off. He then walked downstream and ended up at the edge of a pond. The temperature difference between day and night is large by the sea, and it was cool at night. He was still soaking wet and fainted on the bank. When he woke up, he was already there. He tried to walk out of the woods, but after walking for a long time, he was still in the woods. Because he was scared, he stayed by the pond.

He noticed the commotion when Wen Su and Zhou Ziqiu entered the bottom of the pond. He didn't know what was at the bottom of the pond, so he hid to the side. When he saw that they were humans, he breathed a sigh of relief. However, when he heard Zhou Ziqiu say that they were now in the underworld, he couldn't help but be shocked. He stumbled and broke a tree branch on the ground. Wen Su heard the sound.

Zhang Yifeng then briefly explained to the two of them his discoveries over the past few days. Just like the outside world, there are days and nights here, but time seems to stand still. He hadn't eaten for several days but didn't feel hungry at all.
