Chapter 155 Mercenary Nature

Chapter 155 Mercenary Nature

Shu Yu took the flyer but didn't go back to the shop; instead, she went directly to Dr. Xu's clinic.

The clinic was as deserted as ever. Doctor Xu glanced at her and said, "You've arrived."

He looked behind her, but there was no sign of her. He immediately frowned and said, "Didn't you say you were bringing your third sister over to check on the scar removal results? Where is she?"

Shu Yu smiled and walked to the counter. "I've been busy these past few days and haven't had a free moment yet. I'll bring her over the day after tomorrow."

"So what brings you here today?"

Shu Yu placed the brochure in her hand on the counter, saying, "I hope Dr. Xu can share his client base."

Sharing customer leads? What the heck?

Dr. Xu picked up the flyer, glanced at it, and asked, "What does this mean?"

"As you know, I run a shop selling ready-made clothes and also designing suitable makeup for women. However, I'm just someone from a village down here, so I don't have many connections and I'm worried about not getting any business. That's why I left this flyer with you, Dr. Xu. Whenever a patient comes to your clinic, just give them a copy of this flyer."

Dr. Xu is a skilled doctor, but he charges high fees, so those who come here for treatment are all well-off people.

Shu Yu's customer base overlapped with his, but their businesses did not conflict, so naturally they set their sights on him.

Doctor Xu was so angry he laughed. "It's one thing if you borrow a pestle and a pot from my backyard, but now you're pushing your luck. I'm a doctor, dedicated to helping people and saving lives. I won't get involved with your mercenary attitude. I won't agree to this."

Shu Yu looked him up and down. You're a doctor whose fees are almost sky-high, and you're telling her you're not interested in worldly affairs?

Okay.

"Well, there's nothing I can do about it. It seems my clothing store can't stay open. I'll just have to close it down and find another way to make a living. I think a lot of people will buy the scar removal cream I launch."

Dr. Xu, "..."

"You promised me you'd sell me the formula for that scar removal cream. You're a liar."

Shu Yu sighed, "There's nothing I can do. I'm just too mercenary, a businessman. To make money, I'd do anything, let alone break my word. I might even commit murder and arson. Doctor Xu, farewell."

She left without warning, which nearly made Dr. Xu faint with anger.

"Stop right there."

Shu Yu: "No, I have to go earn money. My family is so poor we're about to starve."

"I promise you."

Shu Yu stopped abruptly, turned to look at Doctor Xu, and said, "Doctor Xu, you are such a kind person."

Doctor Xu sneered, "Don't flatter me. Remember, bring your third sister and the formula for the scar removal cream the day after tomorrow."

He felt that if he waited a few more days, more trouble would arise.

It's unbelievable. They seemed so honest and filial before, but I never imagined they had such black hearts.

Shu Yu's expression turned serious, and she nodded firmly and sincerely, "I'll remember, I'll come over the day after tomorrow."

She put down the flyer and ran away in a flash.

Dr. Xu casually placed the leaflets on the counter, and the clerk asked him in a low voice, "Shopkeeper, these promotional leaflets..."

"Go ahead and give them out, but don't just give them to everyone you see." Doctor Xu picked up a palm-leaf fan and fanned it gently. "Isn't Old Madam Ding coming over this afternoon to have her leg checked? Give one to her servants."

The waiter laughed, "Boss, you're quite good to this Lu family girl."

"This girl is good at handling things and is filial. People always like good girls like her."

He glanced at the snacks on the table and smiled.
