Chapter 1856 Washing for You

Chapter 1856 Washing for You

The prisoner's gaze lingered on Shu Yu, and the evil in his eyes excited the other prisoners nearby.

"Girl, what are you doing in this prison instead of going anywhere else? Do you want to have some fun with us brothers? You're not enough by yourself. There's another girl outside. Come on over."

The jailer's face changed drastically, and he shouted at the prisoner, "Shut up, this is..."

Before he could finish speaking, Shu Yu had already raised his hand and punched the lead prisoner directly in the eye.

"If you can't take care of your own eyes, then I'll take care of them for you."

"Ah..." The prisoner staggered back two steps in pain, her anger rising. "You dare hit me? What are you all standing there for? Get her! You bitch, you don't want to live anymore?"

The others looked at each other, but hesitated for a moment.

When the prison guards and cell bosses aren't looking, they'll band together to bully others in order to make their lives easier. The people they bully are also prisoners, and that's okay.

But with Warden Liu right in front of them, and the girl standing before them being from outside, they weren't committing a capital crime and could disregard everything. How could they dare to actually make a move? If they did, it would be considered a riot in the prison, and they would all be dead.

So the leading prisoner was left to rage irrationally, while the others turned away and pretended not to hear.

Shu Yu stepped forward again, took the wooden stick from the jailer's hand, and hit him on the mouth with it.

"If you don't wash your mouth properly, I can wash it for you."

"Ah..." The prisoner screamed again, covering his mouth, only to realize that the blow from the stick had made him bite his tongue, and now his mouth was full of blood.

He raised his head, his eyes filled with hatred as he looked at Shu Yu, and rushed towards her without regard for anything else.

Before Shu Yu could make a move, Ying Xi came in and kicked him to the ground, stepping on his back with his right foot. "Didn't you just ask me to come in and have some fun with you? I'm in now, get up."

The prisoner struggled, but couldn't get up at all; the feet on his back felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

He looked up, his eyes bloodshot, at the jailer, "Head Liu, you just keep chopping... tsk... over there at the Li residence, look at you, what a joke."

His tongue was injured, so he couldn't speak clearly.

But everyone present could hear it clearly.

The jailer sneered, "Explain? What do I need to explain to Constable Li? You don't know, do you? He's about to be beheaded."

Upon hearing this, everyone looked at him with disbelief on their faces.

The prisoner was even more astonished, exclaiming, "Impossible!"

The prisoners in the jail were kept in separate cells, one in the east and one in the west, and had no contact with each other. Therefore, they had no idea what had happened, nor did they know that the former magistrate and most of the people in the county government had been arrested.

The prison guards, not wanting to get into trouble, all kept quiet and remained tight-lipped. This resulted in the prisoners being completely isolated from information, only able to guess what might have happened from certain changes in their behavior.

The jailer is saying that Constable Li is about to be beheaded. Could this be the incident?

Shu Yu glanced at them and asked the jailer, "What crime did this man commit, and why was he arrested?"

The jailer quickly said, "This man insulted a girl outside, driving her to jump off a building and die. The girl's father went to the house to demand an explanation, but he stabbed him to death."

Shu Yu's eyes instantly turned icy cold. "You've caused two deaths, how come you're still alive and well?"
