Chapter 1973 Meeting

Chapter 1973 Meeting

Shu Yu blinked, looked at Tao's exceptionally sincere eyes, and remained silent for a moment.

After a moment, she nodded. "...Okay, I'll go with you."

Ms. Tao was immediately delighted and said, "Okay, then I'll go find the matchmaker and make the arrangements."

Shu Yu knew that her main role was to embolden Tao Shi, which involved Meng Han's marriage. She cared about this matter, so she was willing to make this trip.

Tao is very efficient and quickly arranged a time and place to meet.

Since this meeting wasn't a very formal engagement ceremony, and Uncle Meng didn't come, it was just a casual get-together between Madam Tao and Madam Liao, who was Gan Rui's elder sister-in-law. Therefore, the meeting was held at the Yuelai Restaurant.

Early in the morning, Tao dressed up in a particularly elaborate manner and knocked on Shuyu's door with a nervous heart.

Afterwards, Shu Yutao and Meng Han went to Yuelai Restaurant.

Their timing was perfect; just as they arrived at the entrance of Yuelai Restaurant, Liao's carriage stopped as well.

Gan Rui, sitting on the carriage shaft, immediately turned to Liao Shi upon seeing them and said, "Sister-in-law, it's Ahan."

Liao raised her head and immediately saw Shu Yu. Then she looked at Tao and Meng Han beside her. From their clothes and ages, she quickly matched the names together.

Gan Rui introduced the two sides. Tao was still a little reserved, but when she saw Shu Yu greeting Liao very naturally, she immediately straightened her back, suppressed her nervousness, and stepped forward to greet her.

Liao was also holding the hand of a little girl, her five-year-old daughter.

The little girl looked at Shuyu and the others with curiosity, then shyly stepped back and hid behind her mother.

Ms. Liao chuckled, "Nini is rather shy. Let's go inside and talk."

The group quickly entered the restaurant. Liao had already reserved a table on the second floor, and the waiter led them directly to the private room.

Liao stood to one side, and she and Gan Rui were the last to enter the private room.

When the door to the private room closed, none of them saw a woman standing at the door of the opposite private room. She stopped in her tracks as she was about to step into the private room, and squinted at the closed door.

Someone called her from inside the private room. She answered, but didn't go in. Instead, she asked the old woman beside her, "Is that my sister-in-law and Xiao Rui? What are they doing here? Who are those women with them?"

The old woman shook her head, not quite sure.

The woman pondered for a moment, then said, "Go and find out."

"yes."

Someone called her from inside the private room. The woman took one last deep look at the room where Shu Yu and the others were before turning around and going inside.

On Shu Yu's side, however, the atmosphere was harmonious. Liao was a very generous and understanding person, just as Jiang Fengshou had described her, and she was meticulous in everything she did.

Tao was initially unsure of what to say, but Liao brought up topics that she could easily follow up on.

After a few exchanges, the two sides actually got along very well.

Shu Yu was like a pillar of strength, occasionally interjecting a few words, asking the questions she wanted to know, and then sitting quietly again.

Meng Han was a little nervous at first, but later she started playing with Nini, who was sitting next to her.

She liked children, and after Nini got to know her, the two started whispering to each other.

Gan Rui occasionally answered Tao's questions, but most of the time, he looked at Meng Han and Nini with doting eyes.

I'm really stuck, my mind's a bit muddled, I'll just update one chapter for today.
