Shu Yu chatted with the old lady for a while, and then joyful sounds came from outside.
She got up and saw that the first one to return was her eldest sister, Shu You, who was holding a little one who was waving his arms and legs. The little one was so energetic that Shu You could hardly hold him and was covered in sweat.
"Ayu." Shuyou happily took a few steps forward, but the child in her arms suddenly bounced, and she almost lost her grip.
Shu Yu quickly came up and took the child from her.
"Little Fire?" As soon as Shu Yu picked it up, she felt its weight in her palm; this little guy was quite heavy.
Shu You let out a long breath and shook her hand. "This brat is too noisy."
Shu Yu and the baby in her arms stared at each other. When she left last time, the baby was less than two months old, but now it was more than eight months old.
Kids really do grow so fast! I haven't seen him for more than half a year, and he's already grown up to be chubby and full of energy.
Little Huo Huo wasn't shy at all. When Shu Yu held him, he didn't fuss at all. Instead, he kept snuggling into her arms, babbling incoherently. Before long, he left a puddle of drool on her front.
Shu Yu, “…” I just got back, and you’ve already given me such a precious gift. Isn’t that a bit much?
She bounced the little one in her arms, and Xiao Huohuo giggled and laughed.
Shu Yu laughed, "He's in a really good mood."
"You haven't seen him when he's in a bad mood. He cries and screams like crazy, almost driving his dad crazy." Shu You said with a helpless smile, "You're the one who's most popular with the child. He won't let anyone else hold him, but he always snuggles into your arms when he sees you."
Shu Yu was delighted, "That's right, our little Huo Huo is close to Auntie, isn't he?"
Upon hearing his name, the little guy looked up, babbled twice, and then burst into laughter, overjoyed.
Hearing the commotion, Shu Rui and the other two ran over. When they saw the child, Da Bao was the first to reach out and hug him.
Unexpectedly, the little guy glanced at them, silently turned his head, hugged Shu Yu's neck, and stuck his bottom out towards them.
Then, with a 'poof' sound, it let out a smelly fart.
Everyone, "..."
Shu You: "Am I right?"
"It stinks! It stinks! You did it on purpose, farting right in front of us!" Erniu yelled.
Shu Rui took a few steps back. "I'm your own uncle. I just got back, and you're already welcoming me like this? Little Huo Huo, you don't even remember me?"
"Huo Huo, you pooped."
Upon hearing this, the little guy, whether he understood or not, turned his head and watched as the three of them uttered various single words like "ya," "ah," "wa," "pa," and "pupu," clearly indicating that they were about to start an argument.
Da Bao made a face. "Huo Huo, what did you say? We didn't hear you clearly. You should explain yourself more clearly. You can't even speak properly and you still want to argue. Don't you have any self-awareness?"
Little Firefly paused for a moment, then cried out even more angrily, "Wow, ya, pfft!"
Da Bao laughed, "What did you say? I don't understand. Huo Huo, you're no good."
Little Huo Huo got so angry that he started jumping up and down, but he was too young to talk, and after a few times he couldn't win the argument. He got so anxious that he burst into tears.
Da Bao was dumbfounded; this was no joke.
The old lady slapped him across the face. "Have you no shame? Arguing with a baby who can't even speak properly. You're his uncle, an elder. Apologize now."
