Chapter 333 You Have to Call Me Master

Chapter 333 You Have to Call Me Master

Da Niu is a man, so his makeup routine wasn't as complicated as Shu Yu's.

She simply added some shadow to his face, thickened his eyebrows, and then pasted on a beard to cover half of his face.

At first glance, he looks like he's aged ten years or so. Unless you're very familiar with him, you basically wouldn't recognize him unless you get close and look closely.

Da Niu looked at himself in the bronze mirror with surprise. The bronze mirror in Shu Yu's house had been replaced with a clearer one, so he could roughly see his own appearance.

After Shu Yu finished drawing him, she found him a set of clothes that suited him.

Fortunately, she had schemed against Jiang Li before, so she was afraid that she would need to change her clothes again in the future. Therefore, she prepared several sizes of clothes.

Da Niu, dressed in dark gray clothes, stood slightly upright, looking every bit the part of Shu Yu's attendant.

Shu Yu nodded in satisfaction. "That's good."

It's actually more normal for her to have an attendant when she enters the black market.

She also prepared a veiled hat for Da Niu and handed him a package, saying, "Hold this for me, let's go."

After Shu Yu finished speaking, he climbed onto the wall, looked around to make sure there was no one outside Liufang Lane, and then opened the courtyard door to go out.

After Da Niu came out, he quickly locked the courtyard gate and strode towards the entrance of Liufang Lane.

Looking at her skillful movements, Da Niu felt a mix of emotions.

Shu Yu silently led him out of Liufang Lane, and then into a secluded, deserted alley.

This time, she learned from her previous experience and carefully checked her surroundings to make sure no one was watching before going in and out.

When she reappeared, she was already a refined-looking middle-aged country gentleman.

Da Niu looked her up and down and said, "Ayu, your skill is truly amazing."

"Hey, you can't call me A-Yu anymore, you have to call me Master. I'll call you... um, A-Liang, how about that name?"

Da Niu nodded. "I have no objection."

"Ah Liang, if you're worried about saying the wrong thing, try not to make a sound. Just use your eyes and ears to see and listen more."

Da Niu nodded.

Shu Yu was satisfied; Brother Da Niu was still quite clever.

After they finished getting ready, the two headed towards the carriage.

Shu Yu rented a horse-drawn carriage and had Da Niu lead it, and they soon left the city.

Once they were outside the city gates, Da Niu asked curiously, "We have our own mule carts, why do we need to rent horse-drawn carriages? That's not cheap."

Shu Yu said, "We've gone through so much trouble to disguise ourselves like this. If we still use our own mule cart, what's the point of all this disguise?"

Da Niu immediately fell silent; he was the one who was confused.

However, Shu Yu only had him lead the carriage to a grove of trees not far from the city gate before stopping.

Da Niu couldn't hold back any longer, "Ah... Master, what are we going to do? Why did we stop here?"

"Let's go to the black market."

"Black market?" Da Niu looked blank, clearly having never heard of those two words before.

Ah, young man, you still lack experience.

Shu Yu leaned against the carriage wall, looking towards the city gate as she explained the situation of the black market to him.

Da Niu was increasingly shocked as he listened. He had no idea such a place existed.

But... wouldn't this be considered an illegal transaction?

He hesitated, but Shu Yu continued, "I know when the black market opens, and I know it's outside the city, but I'll have to find out the exact location from someone else."

"With whom?"
